Season 4, chapter 2 of Fortnite, Nexus War, kicks off today and Epic has hit the launch hard with a new cinematic, Marvel-focused trailer. The Fortnite Nexus trailer shows that the game is clearly going full superhero for season 4's second chapter, with the battle pass' plot being entirely dedicated to the Marvel heroes and villains landing on the island.

In the Fortnite Nexus War trailer, Marvel heroes, Iron Man, She-Hulk, Wolverine, Groot, Storm, Rocket Racoon, Doctor Doom and Mystique are teleported to the Fortnite island via Bifrost magic. After a quick misunderstanding, including Banana Man showing off his claws, the attention of both the Marvel and Fortnite heroes are drawn upward, realising that the god-like planet eater, Galactus, is coming to bring doom upon the island.

Further details of the battle pass’ content are available on it’s section of the Fortnite website. It confirms that you’ll have the joy of being able to thwart enemies with superhero and villain abilities like Doctor Doom’s arcane gauntlets, Groot’s bramble shield, Silver Surfer’s board, with more arriving soon after. Along with Marvel-esque locations and weapons being added to the Fortnite map, you’ll even start to notice Stark supply drones flying about, which you can shoot down for even more loot and hero abilities.

Hopefully, this expansion pass will be a welcome distraction for fans, due to Epic Games suing Apple over banning Fortnite on the App Store, taking up a lot of attention towards the game.
