Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 is now on its third huge update. In less than a month, Epic released two updates for the Battle Royale, each featuring a unique experience. Initially, Midas made his way back to the island with his new mythic weapon and an LTM. Then, Korra, as the first skin of the part of the Avatar collaboration, joined the game with an anime-styled mythic weapon and some quests. Now, Fortnite is welcoming more guests from the outside world.
Avatar: The Last Airbender event is currently active for fans. The event features map changes, new skins from the anime, new mythic weapons, and some quests. The event will remain until May 3rd. This guide goes through all the changes Epic has applied and published in the current update.
Fortnite C5S2: New POIs
With the arrival of the Avatar concept, there are now some elemental shrines at each corner of the map, themed to fire, earth, air, and water. You will see the corresponding Avatar character in each of these shrines, and they offer you items to buy. Moreover, there is always a new chest, called Bending Scroll Container, dropping two of the mythic weapons corresponding the shrine. If you play duos with your friend, both of you can access the bending power.

Fortnite C5S2: Avatar Skins
Aside from Korra, who has already joined the Battle Pass and can be unlocked by completing her quests, there are 3 more skins from the Avatar anime in the item shop, along with the lead character who is part of the mini-battle pass. The Katara, Zuko, and Toph outfits are now ready to purchase in the item shop. Each bundle is worth 2000 V-Bucks and contains exclusive back bling and pickaxe.
- Katara bundle: Katara skin – Katara’s Waterskin back bling – Southern Water Tribe pickaxe
- Zuko bundle: Zuko skin – Zuko’s Scabbard back bling – Zuko’s Broadswords pickaxe
- Toph bundle: Toph Beifong skin – Earth Rumble Belt back bling – Water Hammers pickaxe
If you only intend to access the Katara and Zuko bundles, Epic offers you a 20% discount, and you can buy the bundle for 3200 V-Bucks instead of 4000.
The only skin that can be obtained for free is the Aang skin. There is the Element mini-battle pass to unlock, featuring free and Premium Reward Track elements. If you prefer not to pay for the Premium Track items, you will have to complete all requested quests, earn more Chi, and achieve the Aang skin as the final reward. Otherwise, you need to spend 1000 V-Bucks to immediately get your hands on the skin.

Fortnite C5S2: Avatar Quests
There are going to be six different chapters of Chakra that will be active every three to four days until 3rd May. At the moment, the Water Chakra Quests are the only ones live, asking you to complete the following tasks:
- Destroy a cabbage cart (1) – 350 Chi: The cabbage carts can be found in open areas, with one in particular located in Reckless Railways.
- Visit an Elemental Shrine (1) – 350 Chi: There are 8 elemental shrines spread out across the map near POIs, except for Grim Gate, The Underworld, and Lavish Lair.
- Receive passive healing with Waterbending by entering water (25) – 350 Chi: Easily find Waterbending from any chest and keep it in your inventory to regenerate health.
- Restore shields (500) – 350 Chi: You can check out this article to figure out which healing items are the best for quickly recovering your and your teammates’ shields.
- Deal damage to opponents with Waterbending (1000) – 350 Chi
- Land on water from the bus (2) – 350 Chi
The rest of the event quests will be: Earth Chakra (April 15) – Fire Chakra (April 18) – Air Chakra (April 22) – Light Chakra and Sound Chakra (April 25). Once you complete at least four quests from each phase, you will be rewarded with the Appa glider.

Fortnite C5S2: Avatar Mythic Items
Firebending
Upon the release of the Waterbending mythic weapon, allowing players to hurl icy projectiles at enemies, a similar concept mythic weapon has been added, however with flames. The highly-aggressive Firebending weapon, which belongs to Zuko, throws fire flames at enemies. With an acrobatic animation style, you can throw unlimited fire until you can perform the charge attack. Also, you can implement a second destructive attack which your character punches the ground and impacts anything nearby.
Airbending
The Airbending scroll is a new defensive mobility item added to the game. Fortnite always presents exciting movement items to create a new experience for players to travel throughout the map. The Airbending scroll has a feature that lets gamers fast-travel through the map at a significant pace using an air wheel. The animation almost resembles the OG driftboards but with greater speed and no capability to soar to heights or perform 360s. The movement is so smooth and easy to control, however there is a cool down of 15 seconds. You can also airbend on the water using the item. The last feature is the Air Jump, which launches you and anything nearby, such as cars, into the sky.
Earthbending
This new in-game item is available for protection. If you’re familiar with God of War, you can probably recall that when Kratos’ Spartan Rage is activated, he can pull out a giant rock from the ground. It seems now you can have that power too, as using the Earthbending mythic scroll allows you to summon a giant fort ahead of you, protecting you from enemies’ invasions. It deals 85 damage to players, and 300 damage to builds, making it practical to destroy structures even from a distance. This item could come in handy in Zero Build mode.
