EVERYTHING NEW IN FORTNITE’S LATEST HOTFIX
Explosive Goo Gun
The elusive Explosive Goo Gun shown in Fortnite‘s Chapter 3 Season 4 Battlepass trailer has finally arrived in Battle Royale. This new weapon fires an orange goo that will stick to surfaces and then explode shortly after. This weapon will be great against enemy builds but is also surprisingly powerful if you fire it directly at players. The Explosive Goo Gun can be found in Chests, Supply Drops, and as regular floor loot. Its base rarity is rare, however, the spawn rate of this weapon has been increased until the release of v22.20. For those concerned about the implications this item might have for competitive, do not worry for the Goo Gun has not been added to competitive playlists.
THROWABLE LAUNCH PADS
Launch Pads are finally back, but with a twist. Now Launch Pads are a throwable item and will take a spot in your inventory when equipped. Much like the Port-a-Bunker, Throwable Launch Pads can be deployed by tossing them onto the ground. Once thrown, a Launch Pad will be built with a sturdy metal base. This new item can be found as ground loot, or within Chests and Supply Drops.
Shield Bubbles are Back
Shield Bubbles have now been unvaulted and are available now in Fortnite Paradise. This throwable item was first released in Chapter 1 Season X, but has made a return in this update. When thrown, the Shield Bubble will create a forcefield around the area which will block incoming projectiles, making it a perfect item for portable cover. The Shield Bubble can be found as ground loot, or within Chests and Supply Drops.
