“Fortnite Crew” Subscription Service Launches December 2: Battle Pass, Exclusive Skins, V-Bucks

Epic Games announced today the implementation of a monthly subscription service for Fortnite that will include the Battle Pass, exclusive cosmetic items, and 1,000 V-Bucks each month. For those that consider this to be “their game”, it seems like a pretty sweet deal. As another layer of content on top of the seasonal changes, players are going to get quite a bit more out of the battle royale title.

Fortnite is free to play on PC, Xbox systems, PlayStation Systems, Nintendo Switch, and its status on mobile platforms is in contention.

The first month will launch on December 2nd and will include Galaxia, the Cosmic Llamacorn Pickaxe, and Fractured World Back Bling. Epic has announced that the Crew-exclusive skins will never be made available for sale or as a reward to non-subscribers, so if you’re looking for clout, this will be a nice way to be better than other people.

If a player has already purchased the current Battle Pass prior to subscribing, they’ll get 950 V-Bucks back on their account. The Battle Bundle, which included the Battle Pass and a headstart of 25 levels has also been broken up and players level 75 and below now buy 25 levels at a time for 1,850 V-Bucks. You know, if you’re impatient.

Details of the January Crew bundle will arrive sometime in December.
