It looks like the annual fright-fest is returning yet again this year, with Epic Games announcing the impending release of its Fortnitemares Event for Fortnite. Each year Epic Games has celebrated Halloween with spooky-themed in-game events to get players’ teeth chattering, whilst also switching up the traditional battle-royale style gameplay with all new in-game items and limited-time game modes. Fortnitemares Release Date Confirmed
A recent tweet from Fortnite‘s official Twitter account announced that Fornitemares will make its debut on October 18th via a short teaser, but has kept tight-lipped on any other details regarding what this event might entail. The teaser in question features what appears to be a character wearing a wolf outfit, possibly alluding to a skin that may feature in the Fortnite item shop during the event. However, despite the lack of details provided, fans have taken to the comments to put forward their predictions. Many have pointed to possible collaborations for this year’s event, and claim that the phrase ‘Tis’ the season of screams, bad dreams, and all monstrous things,’ alludes to popular horror characters such as Ghostface, Freddy Kruger, and Michael Myers. Whilst such cosmetic items are being speculated by fans, what else this event might feature is a complete mystery for now.
