Since Xbox Cloud Gaming began its open beta for the public, it has allowed users to play Game Pass titles without installing them. Additionally, those who are not subscribed to Game Pass Ultimate have been able to access some games for free, like Fortnite, without restrictions.
Now, this changes. If you were using this free advantage, your sessions will be limited to a maximum of one hour. This measure is similar to that of other services, such as Nvidia’s GeForce Now, where free accounts have the same time limit and must wait in line to enter a session.
We should note that wait times do not affect only free users. Since the service has been available, Game Pass Ultimate subscribers have also experienced wait times, though with priority over free accounts.
So far, Xbox Cloud Gaming is the most accessible way to play Fortnite on any device regardless of its power. However, the new restrictions may make it difficult to play with friends, as synchronizing time limits and waiting queues will be complicated.
Even so, there is currently no session limit, so you can start another 60-minute session as soon as you finish one, although you will have to wait again.
