In a strange crossover, Horizon Zero Dawn‘s protagonist Aloy joins Genshin Impact as their first collaboration character.
The protagonist from Horizon Zero Dawn and the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West, Aloy makes her appearance in Genshin Impact as a five-star character and comes with her signature bow. As a PlayStation mascot, Aloy’s appearance combined with MiHoYo recently implementing cross-save between PlayStation and PC/Mobile accounts bodes well for the two company’s partnership.
This isn’t the red-headed archer’s first cross-over appearance. Aloy recently came to Fortnite in another cross-over event.
Gacha games like Genshin Impact are well-known for having collaborations and crossovers; other gacha games such as Azur Lane and Grandblue Fantasy have had a Hololive and Persona 5 collaboration respectively.
Aloy is expected to make her appearance in the world of Teyvat on patch 2.1 on October 13 for PlayStation users. For PC and mobile, Aloy will be available on November 24, on version 2.2. In addition, she will be a free character.
