Arriving on the 28th of April, Genshin Impact will arrive on PS5 with native support for the console – meaning 4K resolution, enhanced textures and faster loading times. This is definitely a welcome announcement for players who’ve been waiting for next-gen gameplay on the hit multiplayer action RPG.

Confirmed via a PlayStation Blog post, the Genshin Impact PS5 news was among details of the upcoming Version 1.5 update, Beneath the Light of Jadeite. The new content on offer is set to feature a wide range of new events, enemies, and characters. Players will even be invited to Teyvat, where they can set up a brand-new home for themselves. It definitely gives off a Fairy TailMonster Hunter vibe.

The game was released just last September, but it’s already made huge waves in the industry with a strong player base and massive cash flow. Within two months, it had grossed over $393 million. By the end of March 2021, the free-to-play RPG’s in-game sales skyrocketed to over $1 billion. A true money magnet.
