Genshin Impact Kaeya Outfit Guide | All Joyeux Voucher Locations

Another Genshin Impact summertime event means another round of fun, flashy character skins and new outfits. This time, our favourite little Spark Knight Klee and the cool, mysterious Cavalry Captain Kaeya are the recipients of some new threads. Klee’s outfit is a cute witch-themed affair whereas Kaeya’s look is a lot more regal and Sumeru inspired. As usual, one of these skins is only available for purchase through the shop via Genesis Crystals (in this instance, that’s Klee’s Blossoming Starlight skin) while the other can be earned for free for a limited time.

In Version 3.8, we’re venturing into a new land far away from the classic Golden Apple Archipelago. Gone are the Conches once required to earn both Barbara and Fischl’s skins, leaving us with a new method for obtaining Kaeya’s Sailwind Shadow outfit. While a bit more nebulous and less direct than before, this new method in the Veluriyam Mirage allows you to earn the skin relatively quickly: in fact, if you go hunting for it, you can have Kaeya’s new outfit in your wardrobe on the very first day of the event. 

Here’s how to easily and quickly get Kaeya’s new Sailwind Shadow Outfit by finding all available Joyeux Vouchers in Genshin Impact Version 3.8.

How to Unlock the Free Kaeya Skin in Genshin Impact

To unlock Kayea’s new free outfit in Genshin Impact Version 3.8, you will need to find 150 Joyeux Vouchers.

Joyous Vouchers are a type of collectable in the new limited-time Veluriyam Mirage area introduced in Version 2.8. They will pop up on the map like Oculi whenever you get close enough and can be likened to the Conches from previous summer events but with a key twist. There are over 270 Vouchers to find and you’ll be rewarded with Primogems, Hero’s Wit EXP Books, and Mora whenever every time you find 30 of them. 

There are two key ways to obtain Vouchers in Genshin Impact. The first is by finding the Joyeux Voucher boxes. These appear as colourful floating orbs in the overworld and will ping on your minimap whenever you get close. Picking up one of these bundles awards 4 Joyeux Vouchers. Meanwhile, the other way to obtain Vouchers is to simply open chests within the Veluriyam Mirage. Each chest opened will award 1 Joyeux Voucher, no matter the chest’s rarity. These will be your most consistent source of Vouchers as well as other rewards like Primogems and Mora inside the Mirage.

After the conclusion of Version 2.7, Kaeya’s outfit will instead move to the shop where it can be purchased for Genesis Crystals. You have until the end of the Secret Summer Paradise event to earn this new outfit for free, otherwise, you’ll be shelling out some real-world cash to pick up in the future. 

How to Unlock the Veluriyam Mirage

Now that you know what you’re looking for, how can you begin your search for Joyeux Vouchers?

To travel to the Veluriyam Mirage, you must progress through the Secret Summer Paradise quest, first. This quest begins in the Knights of Favonius Headquarters in Mondstadt where you’ll be tasked with accompanying Klee and Kaeya to Sumeru. There, they hope to visit one of Alice’s close friends in the desert. Progress this quest far enough and you will unlock the Veluriyam Mirage after meeting up with Collei and Eula, two other key characters in this event’s main story.

From this point forward, you can begin collecting Joyeux Vouchers and start progressing towards unlocking Kaeya’s skin. However, we recommend continuing with the main event quest until you finish it. Progress through the quest will unlock new areas to explore, which means more Joyeux Vouchers to collect. As of the start of the event, the quest will unlock a massive second area full of chests, secrets and Joyeux Vouchers that you will need to unlock the Sailwind Shadow outfit as soon as possible. 

Can You Get Kayea’s Outfit Day 1?

If you’re able to find almost every chest and Joyeux Voucher in the two starting areas (the Silver Bottle Courtyard and the Overgrown Valley), you’ll earn around 150 Joyeux Vouchers. This will allow you to unlock Kaeya’s new Sailwind Shadow outfit on day 1 of the event.

Of course, as new areas are added to the Mirage, more opportunities to find chests and Joyous Vouchers will be added to the game, making the grind for Kaeya’s skin far easier. The main downside to waiting is that the rest of the Mirage won’t unlock for the next several days, shutting you out of the skin for some time. If you’re willing to hike around the hills of the Mirage and find every chest and collectable there is, you’ll be able to get ahead of the pack and get the skin far earlier. 

Two unique gadgets are included in this event and will massively help your search for Vouchers. Upon reaching 90 Vouchers total, you’ll unlock the Flowing Joyspar Gadget. While in the Mirage, you can activate this gadget to send out a short-range pulse which will ping any nearby objects, chests, challenges or Joyeux Vouchers you’ve yet claimed. This is incredibly useful for cleaning up and finding any hidden chests you may have missed. You’ll also unlock another gadget, the Felicitous Joyspar, once you’ve found 300 Vouchers, one of which will lead you directly to any unclaimed Vouchers on the map.

There are a total of 37 Joyeux Voucher Boxes scattered around the Veluriyam Mirage, granting you a total of 148 Joyeux Vouchers should you find them all. 

Silver Bottle Courtyard Joyeux Vouchers Locations

Joyeux Voucher 1

The very first Joyeux Voucher is going to be hard to miss. It’s on the direct main path as soon as you enter the Veluriyam Mirage for the first time.

Joyeux Voucher 2

The second overworld Voucher in the Silver Bottle Courtyard is a little further ahead than the first. After collecting the first Voucher, look out from across the cliff and you should spy a rope bridge off in the distance.

You can easily get to the bridge by moving to the left of the cliff. The second Joyeux Voucher is resting at the foot of a house at the end of the bridge.

Joyeux Voucher 3

Continuing moving downstream to grab the next Joyeux Voucher in Genshin Impact. Once the water opens up and you get a better view of the Silver Bottle Courtyard, you’ll know you’re in the right place.

On top of a little island on the water, you’ll be able to spot the third Voucher. Swim on over and the Voucher will be easy enough to pick up. 

Joyeux Voucher 4

The fourth Voucher is located in the middle of the main town in the Silver Bottle Courtyard. To be precise, it’s at the top of the main building to the south of the courtyard, a big mansion-looking estate that you’ll visit a few times across the main event quest.

Because of the strange tiles and layout of the roof, climbing up here may be a bit difficult and you might wish to try and glide down from a higher vantage point. No matter how you get there, though, the Voucher is easy enough to claim once you’ve made it onto the roof.

Joyeux Voucher 5

The fifth Voucher is on a cliffside to the back of the massive spiral device at the centre of the Silver Bottle Courtyard.

There’s a clear-cut path littered with Four-Leaf Sigils which will take you up the majority of the gigantic tree the device is built from. Once you’ve made it up a specific distance, you can coast around the back and pick up the next Voucher for your collection. 

Joyeux Voucher 6

The last Voucher in the Silver Bottle Courtyard is one located high in the sky. It’s on the outskirts of the main town and is placed very high in the air, too high to jump or even use a skill like Kazuha’s to reach.

While you can jump off the nearby cliffs to try and reach it, there’s an easier solution. Underneath the Voucher is one of the many Hydro Eidolons who call the Mirage home. Simply interact with it and it will transform into a propeller: whack it with some Anemo and it will generate a gust, taking you straight to your prize. 

Overgrown Valley Joyeux Vouchers Locations

Joyeux Voucher 7

The next set of Vouchers all become available after unlocking the Overgrown Valley portion of the Mirage during the main event quest. 

The seventh Joyeux Voucher and the first one in the Valley is located at the start of the dark green Choo-Choo Cart track. This area is filled with four different track colours, with the start of the dark green track being on a separate wooden platform you can access from the Silver Bottle Courtyard.

Joyeux Voucher 8

The eighth Voucher is stuck in a tree next to the Teleport Waypoint close to the Overgrown Valley entrance.

You’ll walk up this path during the main story, specifically when you need to investigate the canyon for the first time. As you make your way there, keep an eye on your mini-map and get ready to climb the great oak when that Joyeux Voucher symbol pops up. 

Joyeux Voucher 9

The ninth Voucher is an easy pick up by following the lime green Choo-Choo Cart track. This is the main track you’ll follow during the event quest and the one which takes you to the track junction.

Before that point, though, the track will stop on the top of a huge hill after exiting a cave. The Voucher will be outside this cave: you may have to do a bit of climbing, so be warned.

Joyeux Voucher 10

The tenth Voucher can be found in the north-western section of the Valley. This area is a massive loop-de-loop trial course, one you’ll visit later on to obtain some rare chests via Choo-Choo Cart challenges.

The Voucher is waiting on a wooden platform next to these locked chests. It’s easy enough to ride the cart here, jump out once you get close and glide on over to grab the next Joyeux Voucher you need. 

Joyeux Voucher 11

The eleventh Joyeux Voucher is another easy one, considering that it is at the very end of the lime green Choo-Choo Cart track.

Take the track all the way from start to finish until you reach the endpoint. Then, hop out and look around for a tent close by the Voucher will be inside, enclosed in a Hydro Eidolon droplet. The Eidolon should be close by in the tent itself, so wander about until you find it, allowing you to claim your prize.

Joyeux Voucher 12

If you’re following these in order, the twelfth one will be even easier to grab.

From the Voucher trapped in the water bubble, look down over the cliff. At the bottom will be another makeshift tent on the edge of the water, one with the next Voucher sitting helplessly within. Glide down and the Voucher is yours. 

Joyeux Voucher 13

Voucher 13 is located in the middle of the track junction. To be more specific, it’s located at the top of a floating set of rocks on the dark green track path.

You can just walk across the tracks in this section instead of needing to take a cart: just be careful not to slip and fall into the water below. Waltz on over the track, get to the rock and climb to the top to grab the next Joyeux Voucher for your collection. 

Joyeux Voucher 14

Voucher 14 is another mid-air Voucher. This time, it’s located in the track junction in the Overgrown Valley, above the light blue track you traverse during the story. 

Take the Choo-Choo Cart to the top of the light blue track: this will drop you off on the petal of a massive flower. From this point, you can jump off the side and float down towards your prize with ease. 

Joyeux Voucher 15

The fifteenth Voucher is one you’ll likely spot before you figure out how to get to it. It’s underneath an elevated rocky bridge, one housing the big loop-de-loop on the light green track.

The best way to get to this Voucher is to get out of the cart while at the top of the cliff. From here, you can just glide down and grab the Voucher from mid-air. 

Joyeux Voucher 16

The sixteenth Voucher is technically back at the Silver Bottle Courtyard but it’s in an area that doesn’t become available until the Overgrown Valley does. South of the massive spiral device in the sky is a series of waterways and a few isolated Choo-Choo Cart tracks.

You won’t have to worry about those, at least for now, as the Joyeux Voucher is at the top of a wooden watchtower on the edge of a cliff. The easiest ways to get here are to either head south from the main town in the Bottle Courtyard or take one of the tracks from the junction in the Valley. 

Joyeux Voucher 17

For the seventeenth (and eighteenth) Vouchers, you’ll be going on a little trip deep into the mountains of the Mirage. From the Silver Bottle Courtyard, head south until the find the start of a Choo-Choo Cart track leading into a mountain cave. Boarding this cart will take you to a secret, isolated area to the very south of the map.

This area has its own quest attached to it and has plenty of chests you’ll need to find if you want to unlock the Kaeya outfit. As for the Voucher, it will be to the left of the track exit, nestled in a small building.

Joyeux Voucher 18

From the last Voucher, make your way deeper into the hidden cave. At this point, you should get the sidequest associated with this area (one you should definitely do as it awards a bunch of Primogems upon completion) and you’ll be able to see the huge mural at the back of the cavern.

To get to the next Voucher, walk up to the mural and then head left: there will be a Choo-Choo track leading into a destroyed section of the wall. Enter this area and the next Joyeux Voucher will be directly in your line of sight. 

Joyeux Voucher 19

For the last Voucher currently available in the Valley, return to the Choo-Choo Cart junction in the Overgrown Valley. Head to where you can change the track orientation and change it to the purple flower which leads into the southwest desert: this set of tracks will appear pink on the main map. Once you’ve set it up, hop in the cart and get going.

At one point on this specific track, you’ll be prompted to hop over to an alternative one. You need to move over as this will take you onto the correct set of tracks, ones which will take you straight to the next Voucher. You’ll find it hidden in a little alcove accompanied by one of the strange brothers from the main event quest. Pick it up and another set of Vouchers will be yours to claim. 

Pavilion of Hermits Joyeux Voucher Locations

Joyeux Voucher 20

The next few Genshin Impact Joyeux Vouchers locations are all going to be in the Pavilion of Hermits. This area is one you explore and will unlock by progressing through the main event quest (Secret Summer Paradise). Some of the Vouchers seen below won’t become visible or available to collect until after you complete the story at the tent at the heart of the Fairgrounds, so be sure to do that before continuing.

Once you’ve solved all the issues at the Fairground and restored life to the fair, you can begin your hunt. The first Joyeux Voucher can be found near the Fairground entrance to the southwest, trapped in a cage being closely guarded by a Hydro Eidolon. Interacting with this Eidolon will start a small game which, upon completion, will open the cage and let you nab your next set of Vouchers.

Joyeux Voucher 21

The second Pavilion Joyeux Voucher is really easy to get. To find it, head to the northwestern section of the Fairground: there should a path which branches from the main road to the tent which you can take to easily reach this area.

Here, you’ll find the Joyeux Voucher box floating above an inconspicuous tent. Climb on up and they’ll be yours.

Joyeux Voucher 22

Voucher 22 is a bit harder to get on account of its height. To be more specific, it’s dwelling in the trees above the Fairground, far above where you can get to by normal means.

You’re no normal Traveler, though. Climb around the hills near the big tent and you’ll get enough height to glide on over and claim the Voucher box: there are also a few Four-Leaf Sigils close by above a tight-rope, giving you another way to get up should you fail to make it over initially. 

Joyeux Voucher 23

Another high one, the next Pavilion Joyeux Voucher is on the outskirts of the Fairground. You’ll find it watching the festivities through a small crack in the wall to the south of the Fairground.

The easiest way to reach this location is to drop down from the area above, which is an easy detour to make as you head for the southeastern section of the Pavilion. Jump up, grab the Joyeux Voucher box and you’ll be one step close to those sweet Primogems or Kaeya’s free Sailwind Shadow skin in Genshin Impact. 

Joyeux Voucher 24

Proceed to the aforementioned southeastern area of the Pavilion to find the next Voucher. Here, you’ll find a separate set of stalls, challenges and chests to collect, along with another Joyeux Voucher.

This is another easy one, floating harmlessly above a makeshift stall. 

Joyeux Voucher 25

The final two Pavilion Joyeux Vouchers require a bit more work to get to. The twenty-fifth one can be accessed from that southeastern section of the Fairground, where you found the last Joyeux Voucher.

In that area, you’ll spy a rather large cave entrance which leads deeper into the mountains. This long cavern has a few chests and puzzles to complete, but the best prize is waiting for you at the end. Once you’ve reached the back half of the cave, the Joyeux Voucher will come into view, resting peacefully atop a stack of rocks.

Joyeux Voucher 26

The final Pavilion Joyeux Voucher can be found in a separate cave. This time, you’ll want to head to the north of the Pavilion, close to where you found Joyeux Voucher 21. Along this path is another diversion, which will take you into a long underground section.

Just like Voucher 25, the next Joyeux Voucher will be waiting for you at the very end of the cave. It’s located next to a Water Eidolon puzzle, helplessly waiting inside an elaborate carnival tent. Swoop in and grab the Joyeux Voucher box. 

Thinkers’ Theater Joyeux Ticket Locations

Joyeux Voucher 27

The last area introduced into the Veluriyam Mirage is the Thinkers’ Theatre, which can be found on the far east of the map. This location contains the last few Genshin Impact Joyeux Voucher Boxes you need to find to complete your collection. It is very likely that, while exploring the Thicket, you’ll unlock access to the Felicitous Joyspar gadget upgrade, making your search much easier.

To begin, the first Theatre Voucher can be picked up from the outskirts of the Thicker’s Theatre. Simply head east from the Silver Bottle Courtyard and you’ll come across the Voucher Box resting near the shore. 

Joyeux Voucher 28

For the second Theatre Voucher Box in Genshin Impact, follow the road leading from Voucher 1. This windy path will take you up the mountains and towards the elaborate woodland theatre at its heart.

Before that point, though, you’ll need to access a Choo-Choo Kart which oh so conveniently has the next Voucher Box located nearby. The box is suspended in mid-air between two ledges, one of which has a Four-Leaf Sigil on it: simply zip over from one side to the other with the Joyeux Voucher Box between you and it will become yours.

Joyeux Voucher 29

If you want to quickly grab the third Theatre Voucher Box, don’t ride the Choo-Choo Kart just yet. Instead, head further east into a small valley with water pooling at the bottom.

Once you’re here, it should be easy enough to spot the next Voucher Box resting underneath a collapsed tree branch. 

Joyeux Voucher 30

The 30th Joyeux Voucher in Genshin Impact will require some light puzzle-solving to obtain. High in the sky above where the previous Voucher Box is a floating building suspended in the air by magic. The only way to access this building is to find one of Sumeru’s handy Dendro plants nearby which, when hit by Dendro, spit out a series of Four-Leaf Sigils.

Then, once the Four-Leaf Sigils have been released, hop around on them until you find the optimal position. When you’re in the right spot, zip on over and the next Voucher Box will be yours.

Joyeux Voucher 31

You’ll find Joyeux Voucher Box 31 in a similar state as the previous one: floating in mid-air. This time it’s in a slightly more accessible location, being found underneath a massive set of tree roots to the south of Thinkers’ Theatre.

Find a nice ledge or area of flat ground nearby to the root and you can safely glide over and grab the Voucher with no problem. 

Joyeux Voucher 32

Whereas the previous few Vouchers were high in the sky, this next one is far below the ground. The sixth Theatre Voucher Box is floating atop a wrecked ship in an isolated, gloomy gorge near the eastern edge of the Mirage.

To enter this gorge, look at the map for a large body of water to the northeast of Thinkers’ Theatre. There’s a small canyon near this pool that you hop down into, letting you rummage around the area to your heart’s content. 

Joyeux Voucher 33

Voucher 33 is very simple to obtain, so long as you are progressing through the main event quest. After entering the Thinkers’ Theatre, you’ll meet up with a playwright and director, one who needs your help in performing and finishing his latest piece.

This will entail following him to a small performance area on the upper floors of the Thinkers’ Theatre. Once you’re in this room, look over to the left side and you’ll be easily able to spot the Voucher Box hiding amongst the wooden supports.

Joyeux Voucher 34

Voucher 34 is floating atop a tall wooden platform just as you enter the main part of Thinkers’ Theatre, set apart by a stone aesthetic not seen anywhere else in the area. 

To reach this area, you can either climb the nearby trees or wait until you progress to the higher tiers and float down. Either way, this is one of the easier Voucher Boxes to get in the Theatre. 

Joyeux Voucher 35

Outside the room where you found Voucher 33, there are a lot of Hydro Eidolons acting, playing and causing mischief. This large area of the Theatre hides many secrets, including chests, puzzles and the next Joyeux Voucher Box. 

Next to a circular platform where four Hydro Eidolons are playing a game, you’ll be able to spy the Voucher Box hiding behind the trunk of the main central tree. Hop the fence and this is an easy steal. 

Joyeux Voucher 36

The penultimate Voucher in our journey through the Veluriyam Mirage is an annoying one. This is because you need to complete a prerequisite quest to unlock the necessary location where the Voucher Box is being held. 

Said quest is called “The Black Nacre and the All-Devouring Kraken” which is one of the quests involved in the “Daiya’s Three Day Reverie” questline. You can pick this sidequest up by listening to one of the speakers at the Thinker’s Theatre, one which will direct you to try out several new storylines dotted around the Theatre. 

With the necessary quest in your journal, pop on over to the start location, a set of previously locked Choo-Choo Cart tracks. The quest itself is rather easy, just a meandering ride through a pirate adventure. 

Eventually, your cart will come to a stop after passing through an area locked with a yellow barrier. This underground section is where you’ll conclude the questline, but not before you pick up the 36th Joyeux Voucher Box from the ruins of an old pirate ship. 

Joyeux Voucher 37

Finally, the very last Joyeux Voucher in Genshin Impact 3.8 is actually in a rather obvious location, truth be told. It’s at the top of the massive wheel located in the Silver Bottle Courtyard, the one you’ve been working to fix through the main event questline. Trying to reach this location before completing the quest will yield few results as the Voucher Box is so high in the air that not even clever trickery or expert use of traversal skills will help you. 

Instead, you must advance the Secret Summer Paradise event quest to the point where you have repaired and restored the wheel. This will come after an elaborate and well-animated cutscene, giving you a good idea of when it’ll be made available. 

Once that’s over and done with, head back to the top of the wheel. There are several leafy platforms which you can stand on, allowing you to enjoy the sights as the wheel spins around to take you to your prize. Nab the final Voucher Box and your job will come to a close.
