ESPN Announces EXP: Invitational – Apex Legends at X Games Minneapolis
ESPN has announced the EXP Invitational: an Apex Legends eSports tournament that will take place at X Games Minneapolis next month.
Running from August 2nd to 3rd, the competition will feature twenty squads of three players who will battle it out at U.S. Bank Stadium. The tournament will contain a total of twelve matches, allowing for six matches each day. The winning team will receive a grand prize of $150,000 USD.
Five squads have earned their spot through online qualification, which consisted of two teams from Europe, two teams from North America, and one team from Oceania. The remaining fifteen teams joined the tournament via invitation. A list of each team and their players can be seen below.

Hosting and commentating the live-streamed event is seasoned eSports talent Alex “Goldenboy” Mendez, Bil “Jump” Carter, Rachel “Seltzer” Quirico, and Daniel “DDK” Kapadia.
Viewers will be able to watch from 3 PM – 8 PM (CT) through ESPN’s app or through the network’s Twitch and YouTube channel.
