Big Changes Coming to Apex Legends for Season 5

Apex Legends is getting some big changes for Season 5 with Loba joining the team, Kings Canyon will be getting a huge makeover, a quest system introduced where players hunt for clues, and being able to participate in PvE. This update is due to drop next week, but until then check out the first gameplay trailer.

Big Changes Coming to Apex Legends for Season 5

Earlier this week, Respawn Entertainment gave players a teaser of things to come in Apex Legends Season 5: Fortune’s Favor. Today, we got a peek at some of the new gameplay to expect, and how Kings Canyon has gone through a few drastic changes.

Loba is the latest Legend being tossed into the fight for season 5, with the ability to throw out a device and teleport to its location. She is going to need it though, because as hinted at previously, Kings Canyon has had a makeover with the game’s original map being updated with some big modifications.

Everyone’s favorite hot drop, Skull Town, is now flooded – so hopefully all the Legends have learnt how to swim. Along with this it looks like you will have the chance to go underground and explore what gear hides below Kings Canyon.

Call of Duty: Warzone has seen a lot of success with their contract system, giving players in-game missions to complete. And it looks like Apex Legends could be going down that same route, as Legends will be able to find clues in order to complete quests and receive rewards for doing so.

Aside from a new battlepass and skins to unlock, a PvE mode appears to be making its way to Season 5 – although it’s not clear yet if this will be a limited time event.
