After 10 long years, Destiny 2 has long awaited its journey to the end. The game itself won’t end, but this saga will finish off as it takes on a new adventure. During the Destiny 2 Showcase on August 24th of 2023, Bungie confirmed that The Final Shape will launch off an ending and a beginning, you could say. This battle with the Witness becomes climactic for both in-game characters and for players as we anticipate brand new information (hopefully with the help of Eido) about the Witness and more fighting styles to explore.
The Final Shape will not only include more tools to all subclasses, armor sets to try on, and an exciting story. There is also a preorder floating around the internet to entice players to take a closer look at the new arrival. The Bungie store is showcasing a collectors item for many to snatch and have in their grasp to remember the ending of a great era.

Inside The Collectors Item
There are two versions of the collectors items; One Starting at $275 and another starting at $175 that in real life guardians can get their hands on. The cheaper version is all physical items accounted for, but excludes the game code for the Steam edition Destiny 2 – The Final Shape Collectors package. It is a lot, but it does include some really nifty items to treasure the memory of this long awaited expansion..
Although we don’t know how long Bungie will have it in its store for, it is best for players to snag a pre-order only if you have the money. Of course, if you don’t have the finances to be able to pre-order it, we can only hope that the collectors edition can stick around long enough to become cheaper.
Anyways, enough chit chat. Let’s get right into what this collectors package includes!
Like I said previously, there are two versions of this collectors package. But what are the special items for both? Well, if we take a look at their pre-order page, we can see a description of everything it will include:
- A replica of the Destiny 1 Tower with LED features like lights and sound to give it the nostalgia from the first game
- Small Simple Vanguard Mentor Figurines of Cayde-6, Zavala (Rest In Peace Lance), and Ikora.
- Vanguard Mission Dossier Consisting of documents about certain people and/or events.
- Vanguard Mission Patch
- And An Autograph Book
- (Pssst! There are messages of hope and wisdom that can be found within the tower and items with thorough inspection!)
- A Digital downloadable Destiny 2 Emblem
- And finally, a digital version of Destiny 2: The Final Shape Original Soundtrack.

Of course, one version will come with the Game Code for the expansion while the other will not have it. This Item will also be delivered around the same time as the new expansion.
The Emotions Of The Devs And Behind The Process
The developers had a great time making this bundle come to life. They spoke about the closeness this will bring to many guardians, especially for the ones who have been here from the very beginning. Working on this for 10 years had made them emotional.
Understandably, considering they worked hard for this game and to have this saga come to an end is something special for not only the devs, but as well as the players. After spending so much time on this for this era to end and start a new one is something that will strike the hearts of many. This collectors item will aspire everyone to remember what the game was.
