How to Get Elsie’s Rifle – Stranger Danger Quest

The Elsie’s Rifle is the first BRAVE weapon you are allowed to acquire. Select the Hall of Champions in your directory and head to Article 99-40 found by Shaxx. You will be presented with a quest to rapidly eliminate opponents with a pulse rifle or get Crucible kills with a pulse rifle.

Players who enjoy Crucible will be able to secure 50 kills with a Pulse Rifle in no time. Thus making PVP the fastest option for completing the Stranger Danger quest. For those less Crucible-inclined, you’re still able to complete the quest in PVE activities. Also, players will gain increased quest progress while playing Destiny 2′s new game mode: Onslaught.

Elsie’s Rifle ‘Shiny’ Variant – Holofoil Weapon Variant

All 12 BRAVE weapons are capable of dropping with a ‘shiny’ variant. Also known as the Holofoil variants, they feature an exclusive Weapon Ornament that is only available for a limited time. After the release of Destiny 2: The Final Shape, Holofoil variants will cease to drop.

In addition to dropping with an exclusive Ornament, Holofoil weapons also drop with 2 perk selections in each column. This gives you double the chance of getting your desired Elsie’s Rifle roll. It is also possible to get 2 god rolls on one weapon, saving inventory and vault space.

Elsie’s Rifle Perk Pool

While Elsie’s Rifle may not feature the ‘Rewind Again’ Intrinsic Trait, its similarities to No Time to Explain are striking. Its key difference is its ability to roll randomized perks, allowing for new Void subclass builds. Guardians can now use perks like Destablalizing Rounds and Repulsor brace on Elsie’s Rifle.

In addition to fantastic subclass-focused PVE perks, the Elsies’ Rifle is not lacking in Crucible rolls. If you’ve played Crucible recently, you know the power long-range weapons can offer. High-impact frame Pulse Rifles are fantastic at countering the current auto-rifle meta, but Elsie’s Rifle is exceptional due to its perk pool. Indomitability – BRAVE weapon Origin Trait

Indomitability is a fantastic Origin Trait for any Guardian who plays into their Subclass Abilities. The all-new Origin Trait grants grenade energy with every kill while using a Light Subclass. While playing on a Darkness Subclass eliminations will grant melee energy. Each elimination may only grant 5% energy but with perks like Destabilizing Rounds, you’ll see this multiply.

The all-new perk ‘Desperate Measures’ requires melee and grenade kills to increase its damage bonus. The new Origin Trait pairs well with perks like these, allowing players to increase their damage further. Perks like Adrenaline Junkie and Demolitionist should be considered as well.

Elsie’s Rifle God Rolls – Versatile Void Rifle

The first BRAVE weapon to be added to Destiny 2 came with many great rolls that allow Guardians to dominate in PVE and the Crucible. With Headseeker becoming hugely popular, it’s no surprise this perk has drawn the attention of crucible players to Elsie’s Rifle. Additionally, players can pair it with perks like Zen Moment for additional stability and accuracy.

In addition to having fantastic crucible rolls, Elise’s Rifle has great PVE rolls that are sure to clear almost any group of adds. For players who aren’t a fan of Destabilizing Rounds, Perks like Frenzy and Desperate Measures are more than capable of increasing your damage output and kill rate. Players should not that attuning Elsie’s Rifle will increase its drop rate to 50%.

Sharpshooter Elsie’s Rifle (PVP) Zen Moment + Headseeker

Zen Moment combined with a high-impact frame makes for an incredible Pulse Rifle with nearly no recoil. If you’re looking to engage in long-distance fights in the Crucible with Elsie’s Rifle, the added accuracy is a fantastic bonus. With under 4 hits to an enemy, you will have the maximum stack of Zen Moment. Each stack of Zen Moment will provide reduced weapon shake, reduced reticle bounce, and flinch resistance.

Headseeker has recently become popular in The Crucible due to its ease of activation and significant bonuses. Headseeker is activated by dealing non-precision shots and provides an increase in damage and aim assist. (+10 aim assist) The damage increase is a slight increase in the precision multiplier, making precision shots hit harder.

Double Crucible Damage Perks (PVP) Under Over + Headseeker

If you’re looking for a perk combination capable of massive damage, this is an amazing roll. Two damage perks capable of rolling on one weapon is an uncommon sight in Destiny 2. For these perks to function correctly in Crucible is even less common. But Elsie’s Rifle is anything but common…

Under Over will provide players with a 20% increase in damage after hitting a body shot within the Crucible. With the addition of precision damage and aim assist provided by Headseeker, players are sure to annihilate at medium to long range. It is a much-welcome capability amid the current meta. One burst is even enough to remove an enemy’s shield!

Volatile Pulse Rifle (PVE) Repulsor Brace + Destabilizing Rounds

Also one of the best rolls for PVE on the Recluse, this Elsie’s Rifle roll is an add-clearing machine. Destabilizing Rounds applies Volatile to nearby enemies when getting an elimination. Introduced in Season 10, the Destabilizing Rounds perk made Volatile Rounds possible without Artifact Perks or Subclass Fragments. This is an incredible perk for large groups of enemies due to Volatile’s area-of-effect damage.

Paired with Volatile Rounds, Repulsor Brace is an exceptional perk capable of keeping you alive in sticky situations. When defeating an enemy with a Void Debuff, players are granted a 45 HP Void Overshield. While this perk may be unimpressive on its own, Volatile applied from your Destabilizing Rounds counts as a Void Debuff. This makes for a constantly refreshing Void Overshiled when dealing with large groups of enemies, making it very hard to die.

Double Damage Perk (PVE) Under Over + Frenzy

Do you wish that Elsie’s Rifle had double damage perks viable for higher-level PVE content? Don’t worry, we’ve got you covered! This roll is exceptional for difficult content and will only get better when Anti-Barrier Pulse Rifles eventually return. While Under Over provides a 125% increase in damage to combatants with an overshield, it also provides a 50% increase in damage against Barrier Champion shields.

In addition to the damage bonus provided by Under Over, Frenzy also gives a 15% increase in damage. Frenzy also increases the Handling and Reload Speed by 100, maximizing both. The only requirement to activate Frenzy is to remain in combat for 12 seconds. Destiny 2 considers you ‘in combat’ if you have fired at or been fired at by an enemies in the last 5 seconds. Frenzy also lasts for 7.2 seconds after the player is no longer in combat.
