Act 3 of Destiny 2’s second Episode, Revenant, has arrived alongside an exciting new Exotic Mission, Kell’s Fall. In Kell’s Fall, Guardians siege Fikrul the Lifebringer’s final bastion of safety, an abandoned Awoken Tower deep within the Reef, in hopes of stealing back the Echo and preventing him from pulling all Eliksni into his undead army. Like most recent Exotic Missions, Kell’s Fall has a series of perplexing puzzles and secrets for players to unearth, with the most involved being several special melodies which need to be found and then on a unique Scorn Organ. Finding and deciphering these melodies is key to unlocking the full potential of the new Slayer’s Fang Exotic Shotgun and there are a lot of songs to figure out.
Here’s how to play all of the Kell’s Fall Melodies and unlock all of the Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic upgrades in Destiny 2’s newest Exotic Mission.

How to Play the Kell’s Fall Organ
After confronting the Trickster for the first time in the new Destiny 2 Exotic Mission Kell’s Fall, you’ll wander into the abandoned Awoken Tower that Fikrul has been using as his base. Upon entering the lair for the first time, you’ll be directed towards a rundown Scorn organ at the back of the room, one tended to by a slippery Scorn Organ Tender. This organ is what you’ll use to play all of the melodies you find scattered throughout the mission, which appear as groups of white notes seared onto the floors or walls of Fikrul’s lair.
The organ has 13 possible notes but, on your first visit to Kell’s Fall, only a handful will be available to play. To unlock all of the notes needed for the Slayer’s Fang Intrinsics, you’ll need to first complete Kell’s Fall three times, which will also complete Act 3 of Episode Revenant. We recommend running through the Exotic Mission on Normal before coming back to do all of the Melodies later. Additionally, we also recommend playing all of the melodies at once to cut down on how many times you’ll need to rerun this mission.
To play a melody on the Scorn organ, you simply step onto the plate in the middle of the instrument and then shoot the notes in the order you wish to play them. Once the song is finished, you should step off the organ and one of two things will happen; if you were unsuccessful in recreating a melody, you’ll be told that the melody “failed to resonate” and the organ will glow red; if you successfully weave one of the correct melodies, though, you’ll instead receive a special message unique to each song.
As just mentioned, there are six distinct melodies hidden throughout Kell’s Fall and each unlocks a new room or collectable somewhere within the mission. Most of the melodies will give you the ability to pick up the three Intrinsic upgrades for the Slayer’s Fang, the new Exotic Void Shotgun you’ll unlock upon first completing Kell’s Fall.
All Kell’s Fall Melodies in Destiny 2
Gateway Melody
The first melody available to play in Kell’s Fall is the Gateway Melody. This series of notes can be found in the Gateway, the first major section of the Exotic Mission where you fight the revived Trickster.
After defeating the Trickster for the first time outside of the Awoken Tower, start heading towards the Bailey but stop before entering the building proper. Then, turn around and on one of the pillars will be four symbols which correlate to notes on the Scorn organ. If you play these notes from top to bottom, you’ll play the Gateway Melody.
To play the Gateway Melody on the Scorn organ, shoot the following notes in sequence:
- 1, 8, 1, 9
The special message you’ll receive for this first melody reads: “The melody twists your stomach in knots. You’ve made a terrible mistake.”
Bailey Melody (Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic II)
The Bailey Melody is the first melody tied to one of the three Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic upgrades and it’s also likely the first melody most players will come across. The Bailey is the same area where you’ll find the Scorn organ and this is one of the easier melodies to both find and play.
To find the melody for yourself, go through Kell’s Fall until you reach the organ. Then, instead of going left towards the Mirror Gallery, take the stairs up to the right where you’ll find a new set of corridors. Continue going down these corridors and eventually, you’ll arrive at a dead end with a series of six glowing white symbols etched on the wall.
These six symbols make up the Bailey Melody and you can play it by inputting the following notes on the Scorn organ:
- 2, 11, 1, 10, 7, 6
You’ll know you’ve entered the right melody when you step off the organ and get the message: “The melody sounds like ancient gears grinding deep within the fortress.”
With the correct message given, head back up the right side balcony to where you found the melody etched onto the wall. This time, once you arrive, the door on the opposite side of the chamber will be mysteriously open, revealing a new room with a gnarled tree at its centre.
At first glance, it can be hard to find anything in this room but, at the very back near another set of locked doors will be a small glowing pouch. Interacting with this pouch will unlock the first Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic upgrade, Intrinsic II, which lets you alter the Barrels on the new Exotic Shotgun.
- A New Path in the Bailey
- Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic II
Mirror Gallery Melody (Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic III)
The next melody you’ll need to play is the Mirror Gallery Melody. The Mirror Gallery is the next area immediately after the Bailey and it’s where you’ll first encounter the main mechanic of Kell’s Fall in the magic dimension-hopping mirrors. To reach the Mirror Gallery, simply take the stairs to the left from the Scorn organ and keep going until you have to light a brazier to proceed through a locked door.
Before jumping through the mirror to the alternate dimension, take a look around the real-world Mirror Gallery and you’ll find the notes needed to play the next melody scattered around the nearby area. There will be four notes throughout the main hallway and two notes next to the magic mirror itself. This time, the order you play the notes is determined by how many objects are next to the note in question. For example, the first note many Guardians will encounter when entering the Mirror Gallery is to the left between a pair of benches. Around the symbol are six goblets, meaning that this is the sixth note you should play for this melody.
If you just want the Mirror Gallery melody without having to hunt it down yourself, here it is:
- 1, 4, 11, 1, 4, 10
When you step off the organ, you should see the message: “The melody sounds like a barrier giving way.”
The barrier in question is in the other world so head back to the Mirror Gallery and hop through the magic mirror. After battling your way past your first group of Scorn, you’ll arrive at the area with a massive overgrown tree in the middle: this is also the area where most of the Illusory Anchors for the Revevant Slayer I Catalyst Quest can be found.
To the left of this tree is a walkway with a door which is usually locked tight. With the melody played, though, the door is wide open, allowing you to wander inside and claim a lost Awoken knife to unlock the Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic III. This will allow you to change the magazine perks on the Slayer’s Fang.

Undercroft Melody
The Undercroft is a large and expansive area you’ll enter after defeating the Exotic Mission’s first major boss, the Bomber. This is the most complicated area in the mission to navigate, especially because you need to take a death-defying leap into the abyss to reach the tunnels connecting it with the next encounter.
The Undercroft is also full of notes and symbols, seemingly in a completely random order. There are a total of eight notes in the Undercroft, all of which make up the Undercroft melody, which goes as follows:
- 1, 8, 4, 11, 1, 6, 4, 10
- Undercroft Melody P1
- Undercroft Melody P2
For correctly inputting all eight of these notes in order, you’ll receive the message: “The melody sounds like a child, yearning for his father.”
This is the strangest melody of the bunch because it doesn’t actually unlock anything tangible. There’s no collectable to find, Intrinsic to seek out, or even triumph to claim. Instead, it unlocks a small easter egg in the Undercroft which, while it won’t increase your Triumph Score or give you a new toy to test out, may just tug at your heartstrings. To find it, make your way back to the Undercroft, specifically the area right before you leap down into the tunnels connected to the Vestibule. With the melody played, one of the small metal huts on the platform just before the leap will now be open, revealing an intimate effigy and shrine to Uldren Sov, likely created by Fikrul in honour of his dead father.

- Effigy for a Father
Vestibule Melody (Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic IV)
The Vestibule is the location of the next Kell’s Fall melody and home to the final Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic upgrade. This is the area just after the Undercroft and just before you begin the Mindbender encounter.
To find the notes for the Vestibule Melody, you’ll need to track down three unlit braziers which all have a corresponding note attached to them. You can find all three braziers near the Rally Flag before you jump through the first magic mirror. Finding and activating all three braziers will open a door back near the hole where you entered the Vestibule, revealing a fourth note etched onto the wall.
- Find the Torches, Open the Vestibule Door
- Each Torch Has a Symbol
If you piece these four notes together, you’ll get the Vestibule Melody:
- 1, 8, 1, 6
If you input all the notes correctly, you’ll get the message: “The melody sounds like a long sigh. Air stirring in a forgotten passage.”
With the melody played on the organ, head back through the mission until you arrive at the area before the start of the Mindbender fight. This time, when you light all of the torches to reveal the fourth symbol, an additional door will be unlocked next to it. This new door will lead to another chamber and the final collectable.
The collectable in question is an Awoken vase and, for picking it up, you’ll obtain the Slayer’s Fang Intrinsic IV as well as a Tonic of Exotic Ciphers, the rarest kind of Enriching Tonic which gives you the chance to earn a Cipher from completing activities or defeating combatants. Picking this up will also unlock the Secrets of the Revenant Slayer Triumph for finding all three Nightsworn Sight Intrinsic upgrades.

Throne Room Melody
The final Melody you’ll be able to encounter in the Kell’s Fall Exotic Mission in Destiny 2 is the Throne Room Melody. The Throne Room is the final area of the mission and the arena where you will face down Fikrul and his undead minions once and for all. Similar to the first and second melodies, this is one of the easiest melodies to both find and play.
As soon as you enter the Throne Room to fight Fikrul, turn right and head towards the nearby wall. In a small hollowed-out crevice, you’ll find the entire Throne Room melody etched onto that wall. There’s nothing special to this song, just play the symbols left to right as seen in the boss encounter.
The Throne Room Melody goes as follows:
- 1, 8, 1, 11, 9
Successfully inputting the final Kell’s Fall Melody will give you the ominous message: “The melody sends a chill down your spine. What have you done?”
Hidden Melody
There is one more melody available to play in Kell’s Fall. Similar to the Undercroft Melody, this hidden melody doesn’t give you anything except for a cool easter egg but it’s worth experiencing nevertheless.
The hidden melody goes as follows:
- 4, 7, 9, 6, 2, 6, 7, 1
This melody doesn’t have a special message like the other songs. However, you’ll know when it’s worked when someone special, and very unexpected, pays a visit.
That was how to play all of the melodies and unlock all of the Slayer’s Fang Intrinsics in the new Kell’s Fall Exotic Mission in Destiny 2.
