PUMA is getting a taste of Animal Crossing with their newest clothing and footwear collection. The PUMA x Animal Crossing: New Horizons Collection will be released September 18th. The new collection will be available for adults and children on the official PUMA website and select stores worldwide.Â
PUMA’s new Animal Crossing collection includes new designs of their most distinctive shoe styles: Suede, Wild Rider, and Future Rider. The new footwear will feature Animal Crossing graphic prints and icons, such as the iconic leaf and animal residents found in the game. The predominate colors that feature in the new clothing range are pale blue, green, and white.
PUMA offers a selection of clothing apparel such as shirts and shorts as well as shoes.
It’s not just shoes that PUMA will be offering. The collection will also include t-shirts, long-sleeved shirts, hoodies, shorts, and sweatpants. These too will also be inspired by the graphics and style of Animal Crossing.
PUMA, the German multi-national sportswear brand, have previously released apparel inspired by video games. In 2019, they collaborated with TETRIS, and in 2020, they collaborated with Nintendo to celebrate Mario’s 35th anniversary, as well as the release of 3D All-Stars.
Animal Crossing has been popular ever since its first release back in 2001. The latest addition in the Animal Crossing series, New Horizons, was released last year exclusively for Nintendo Switch. The central theme was all about having an island getaway. The game is designed to be easy-going and a form of escapism for its players. The game is full of colorful characters, including Tom Nook and Isabelle. New Horizons was particularly popular, as it was released during the Covid-19 pandemic, when many people around the world were forced to stay at home during self-isolation and lockdown.
