Nintendo Nerfs Animal Crossing's Egg DropsThe Bunny Day egg event, a period of constant egg drops leading up to Easter Sunday in Animal Crossing: New Horizons has been a blight on our daily lives in enjoying the game. Not only has player’s hunt for crafting materials and fishing been repeatedly thwarted by multi-coloured easter eggs sprouting up instead, but the sounds of the Bunny Day balloons flying above us has been a regular occurrence of dread. What can do do with these eggs? Not much, but crafting Bunny Day/Easter-themed outfits and furniture no-one in their right mind will probably never used. Thankfully, a new Animal Crossing update has lessened the pain.

Finally listening to fan feedback, Nintendo dropped its latest Animal Crossing update in patch 1.1.4, which adjusts the rate drops for eggs until the 11th of April. On Easter Sunday itself, the 12th, egg drops will increase again for those few who are actually interested in the event, and then the eggs will at last disappear forever.

Nintendo has described the patch notes as a balance adjustment for the event. It’s without a doubt a welcome sign that the developer is constantly monitoring fan reactions to the newly-released title and the events that come with it. As long as the next event isn’t so frustratingly intrusive towards actually enjoying the game, it’s going to be a good year for Animal Crossing fans.
