Animal Crossing: New Horizons has topped the UK Entertainment Software Charts for the week ending 20th March. This comes as somewhat of a surprise, given it’s one year after its original release last March.

Nintendo’s best-seller had huge success last year as the first lockdown began in the UK, and it continues to perform well as COVID-19 restrictions continue to affect our daily lives.

New Horizons replaces PlayStation’s Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales, which drops to number three for the week.

In its physical form debut, Hades was the seventh best-selling game of the week, while Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury’s remains at number two.

Once again, 2013’s Grand Theft Auto V remains in the top ten at number five, Minecraft Dungeons is a surprise inclusion at number ten.
