Animal Crossing: New Horizons is no stranger to adding in analogies to real world holidays and March is no exception as the game is set to receive Saint Patrick’s Day themed items in its latest update. Whilst the update has mostly been promoted around its big addition to the game; this being the Super Mario themed items to conclude the franchise’s 35th anniversary celebrations. The official Animal Crossing: New Horizons website has included information on additional seasonal items that will be added to the game in the next update.

These items include new furniture and clothing options to celebrate events such as the Hinamatsuri festival (Also known as Doll’s Day or Girl’s Day) on the 3rd March. Pi Day on the 14th March which features a Pi themed pie. And as previously stated, the Animal Crossing: New Horizons will receive Saint Patrick’s Day themed items (or as it is known in Animal Crossing Shamrock Day), with a range of green coloured furniture and clothing options. Including but not limited to a shamrock rug, lamp, and leprechaun inspired clothing.

Players who download the update will receive a Super Mario themed free Mushroom Mural wallpaper in their in-game mail boxes. This will act as a preview of what Super Mario inspired items will be available early in March; you will not be able to order the Mario themed items until the 1st March. So all of you wanting to turn your islands into a recreation of World 1-1 will need to wait a little longer.

On March 20th Animal Crossing: New Horizons will have been out a whole year. However at this point it is unclear if Nintendo will be releasing any updates or special items to commemorate that event. However we can be certain that Isabell will likely make a mention of it for players who have been on their islands a whole year. Well, providing she isn’t prattling about what she saw on TV the night before.
