As you may know by now, every month, Animal Crossing Portal holds a poll for the most popular Villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. This month is no different, and below we have the most popular Villagers for November 2020. These villagers are worth between 15 and 20 million Bells, or a few thousand Nook Miles Tickets. Whichever takes your fancy. If you have any of these Villagers, now might be the best time to offer them up for other players to buy.Â

1) Marshal
Once again, Marshal is at the top of the most popular Villagers chart for November 2020. He topped the chart last month, and players clearly still find him adorable. Most of Marshal’s appeal is in his personality. He’s one of the funniest Villagers you’ll come across. Occasionally he might be found chattering away to himself, or he could come up to you and shout something extremely random. You never quite know which way he will go. He’s also the focus of some of the community’s best memes.Â
2) Raymond
Since Animal Crossing: New Horizons launched, Raymond has been a favourite character among players. His complete heterochromia makes his eyes entirely unique, which is just one of the reasons he’s struck such a chord with the community. He’s also well known for being neat, tidy, and rare. It’s not possible to pick this Villager up with an Amiibo card, meaning you really have to work to pick him up and get him to stay on your island.Â
3) Sherb
Like Raymond, Sherb is a brand new Villager in Animal Crossing: New Horizons and can’t be obtained through an Amiibo card. This makes him pretty rare, but that’s not why people love him. It’s Sherb’s blue fur and laid-back attitude that players find so adorable. He’s notorious for his easy-going attitude and will take any opportunity he can to relax, eat some food, and generally chill out. You’ll never find this Villager getting stressed out, which is something I suppose most players aspire to.Â
4) Zucker
Zucker has been up and down in the Villager popularity list over the course of the year. Now in the most popular Villagers for November 2020 list, we find him clawing his way back to the top five. He looked to be heading out of the top ten last month. Zucker’s appeal comes from the way he looks, which resembles a Japanese snack. However, he’s also quite a sought-after Villager because he’s one of the three octopus Villagers in the game. Some players like to collect all three octopus Villagers, which is likely why Zucker has seen a small surge in popularity.Â
5) Lucky
Lucky is a huge joke that the developers of Animal Crossing are having with the community. He’s a dog Villager that is completely wrapped up in bandages. Of course, we’re meant to assume that he had a horrible accident, but the developers went as far as forcing this poor dog to reference it in such a way that chills your soul. Calling him Lucky is just the icing on the cake. You’d have to have the worst luck in the world to end up looking like this, right?
6) Erik
Our lovable moose Villager is sticking around in the top ten! While he’s technically a deer, he looks so much like a moose that most players just say he is. The thing about Erik is that he’s about as Christmas-related as Villagers get in this game. He has a fantastic jumper that looks very festive. It’s also the fact that he’s a moose, which makes him look a little like a reindeer, and that his name is inspired by Lapland, where Santa is from!
7) Judy
It probably won’t surprise you to learn that Judy hasn’t shifted in this chart since last month. She’s been consistently popular since the game’s launch. The reason for that is her eyes. No other Villager has eyes like hers. They make her a bit of a unicorn, though she’s actually a bear, to be clear. Most players want to collect her so that they can gaze at those beautiful eyes whenever they want. Part of me thinks that some players would put them in a jar and keep them on a shelf if they could.Â
8) Audie
Audie is another firm favourite in the Animal Crossing: New Horizons community. While some players love her for her attitude and personality, which takes no prisoners, it’s her reputation that most players love. She’s said to be named after the mayor from a town in a game of Animal Crossing: New Leaf that one player put almost 3,000 hours into. At least in the US and EU, the name for Audie shows that the developers are aware of what their games mean to players.Â
9) Marina
Here we come to the second octopus Villager in this list. As with this aspect of Zucker, Marina is highly sought-after because of what she is, more than who she is. With both Marina and Zucker, a player has two out of the possible three octopus Villagers in the game. The bonus with Marina is that she’s pink, and she’s not shy about it either. When you have octopus Villagers together, you can sometimes catch them singing together, which is pretty damn cute.Â
10) Stitches
This month, Stitches has stuck around exactly where he was in October. This Villager is a scary amalgamation of multiple teddy bears, all sewn together into one. It’s thought that his personality is a mixture of all of those bears, which just makes him creepy in my book. Still, he has a brilliant interior to his house, which is filled with all kinds of kids toys and furniture. It’s like walking into a soft play centre, but there’s only one child there to play with it all.Â
11) Fauna
I have to say that Fauna is one of my favourite Villagers in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. She’s the best out of this most popular Villagers for November 2020 list because she’s just a being of pure light. Nothing can beat her, and most players tend to agree. She’s always got something nice to say to you and will find the bright side in all situations. To top it off, she’ll water the plants on your island, and she’s happy to do so. There is no other Villager in the game that’s this good as a friend.Â
12) Beau
While most Villagers on this list are tolerable, I find Beau to be one of the most obnoxious characters I’ve ever come across in a game. Unfortunately, this is just part of his personality. Luckily he doesn’t hold on to grudges for long when you call him out on being so nasty, because he has a terrible short term memory. As long as you’re polite and move along quickly, you should be able to cope with him being on your island. My advice is to sell him as quickly as possible though.
13) Dom
Earlier this year, Dom became somewhat of an icon. The LGBT+ community of Animal Crossing: New Horizons picked him as their mascot for Pride month. Whether that’s because of his pink skin, or tie-dye shirt, I’m not quite sure. Regardless, his popularity hasn’t faltered since. He’s been a consistent part of this list for months now and shows no sign of disappearing. However, his popularity has dropped somewhat, which is why he’s down here. I suspect he’ll be around until next year’s Pride month though.
14) Ankha
Here we have another non-mover for the month. Ankha is the sphinx Villager, though she’s actually a cat. She’s completely obsessed with the Egyptians, to the point that she’s become a visual representation of their culture. Even her house is covered in Egyptian stuff. There’s just no escape from it. She is pretty funny though. She’ll share gossip with you about most other Villagers on your island. Just watch out. This cat scratches anyone she cares to.Â
15) Merengue
Poor old Merengue is just about holding in there in this chart in the last place. She’s one of the few Villagers with an appearance that’s based on food. As you can probably tell, the food she’s based on is a strawberry shortcake. While she might look delicious, she’s got a fierce temper that will see you off in a flash if you get on the wrong side of her. As long as you’re friendly with her, she’ll be a real asset to your island. If she just makes you hungry though, maybe consider selling her.Â
That’s it for our most popular Villagers for November 2020 in Animal Crossing: New Horizons list. If there’s a Villager that you think should be included in December, let us know who and why in the comments!
DeerDog
Don’t be mean to Beau. He did nothing wrong.
