Welcome to July and another Animal Crossing: New Horizons Bugs and Fish Guide. Things are continuing to heat up in the Northern Hemisphere and cool down in the South. And with that comes some radical changes to the catchable critters that are going to be around this month. As well as the rest of the season. With one half of the world about to get stupidly busy and the other half, well, you’ll soon see.
So as we all prepare for some seasonal fun (and desperately waiting on Nintendo to announce a new update) let’s take a look to see what is going on this month. Starting off with our good friends in the Northern Hemisphere.

It goes without saying that July is a big month when it comes to collectible bugs. Soon, your islands will come alive to the sights and sounds of Beetlemania. Many of them however are late night catches, with some being rather rare too. So be sure to have a nice variety of trees on your islands to maximise your chances in capturing the ones you need.

As with Fish, there isn’t much change on the Deep-Sea Creature situation; only three new arrivals and one leaver. And the leaver is around all day and stationary so you won’t struggle finding it. However, two of the new arrivals aren’t active till late at night with one being very fast at that. If you need advice on how to catch fast Deep-Sea Creatures, see the following guide for a neat tip.
SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE
No. Your eyes are not deceiving you, dear reader. This month in the Southern Hemisphere, there are no new Bugs or Fish arriving or leaving. Which should help to give you some time to catch any that you might have missed from last month. It will also give you time to practice your Snowman making skills. The only area that is seeing any changes is the Deep-Sea Creatures section, which sees the following leaving after this month.
DEEP-SEA CREATURES LEAVING AFTER THIS MONTH
