Cheats can be very useful, including in games such as The Sims 4. As each Expansion, Game Pack and Stuff Pack has been released, more cheats have been added on. The Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion is no different. With The Sims 4 Growing Together, a ton of new cheats have been added into the game. They may only be available with Growing Together, but if you have this Expansion, you might be tempted to use them.
The Sims 4 Growing Together is a family-themed Expansion Pack, emphasising on family-oriented gameplay to bring those family moments to life and enhance the true importance of family in The Sims 4. There are lots of new additions with this Expansion, including quirks for toddlers and infants, Milestones for all Sim ages, plus new aspirations and traits. If you want to remove a pesky quirk from your infant or add a useful reward trait, then the new The Sims 4 Growing Together cheats will help you there.

One important note for the cheats in this guide for The Sims 4 Growing Together is that some of them will require you to download the AllCheats mod by TwistedMaxi in order for the cheats to work. A Quick Reminder on Cheats in The Sims 4
For the purposes of this guide, here’s a quick rundown on how to use and activate cheats in The Sims 4.
To open the cheat console, where you input all your cheats, do the following according to whichever platform you’re playing on:
PC: Press Ctrl + Shift + C
Mac: Press Ctrl + Command + C
PlayStation: Press L1 + L2 + R1 + R2
Xbox: Press and Hold LB + LT + RB + RT
Right in the top left corner of this screen, the cheats console will appear.
If done correctly, a white bar will appear in the top left of your screen. This is the cheat console. Here, you write in the cheat you want to activate (or deactivate). Once you’ve written the cheat code, press the enter command. The cheat should work straightaway. You can enter as many cheats as you like with the cheat console open. When you are done with the cheat console, close it again by using the same buttons as you used to open it.
If a cheat does not work for some reason, try it again. Whether you use lower or uppercase letters makes no difference, but make sure of spacing as well as any special characters or symbols.
Most cheats in The Sims 4 require you to enable cheats in order for them to work. The command you need to enter into the cheat console is “testingcheats true”. Make sure you enter this command before any other cheats, otherwise they won’t activate. You can disable cheats again by entering “testingcheats false” into the console. It’s a good idea to do this whenever you are done with cheats, to avoid any issues.
Many cheats needs to be accessed by first entering “testingcheats true”.
All Growing Together Cheats
Now you know how to enter cheats, here are all the cheats that come with The Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion for you to try out and play with.
Trait Cheats
Traits play an important role in The Sims 4. They shape and define your Sims, affecting how they behave and react to the world, either in a positive or negative way. Growing Together has a bunch of new traits, including exclusive traits for the new infant life stage and reward traits that are normally earned from playing as infants, toddlers and children. You can easily add or remove the new traits that came with The Sims 4 Growing Together with these cheats.
With trait cheats, to add traits to your Sim, use the word “equip” in the cheat. If you want to take a trait away from your Sim, swap “equip” with “remove”.
Traits added via cheats will instantly appear in the Traits panel when successfully entered into the cheat console.
Infant Trait Cheats
Infants aren’t actually exclusive to Growing Together. They arrived in the base game via a free update shortly before the pack’s release. However, we’ll include these cheats for adding/removing infant traits here for your convenience, since The Sims 4 Growing Together adds so much to the infant life stage.

Reward Trait Cheats
The Sims 4 Growing Together has some very rewarding bonus traits to hand out. These come from aging up from an infant or toddler, plus the new child aspirations has some bonus traits normally gained from completing them.
As an infant and toddler, you can earn one of three bonus traits when you age up from an infant to a toddler and from a toddler to a child. Depending on how well-cared-for the infant and toddler was and the skills and Milestones they gained, they’ll earn a bonus trait – or they may not.
If you want to quickly add these traits – or remove them – you can use these reward trait cheats that came with The Sims 4 Growing Together.
Reward traits unlocked in Growing Together can have a big impact on your Sims for the rest of their lives.

Note: Although there are 4 aspiration reward traits available, one for each of the new aspirations, only 3 are currently listed here. That’s because the fourth one, Practiced Host, doesn’t seem to work. We’ll update this guide if we find a solution to getting the fourth aspiration trait to work.
Aspiration Cheats
For the first time since the base game, new aspiration have been added for children in The Sims 4. Children are the youngest life stage who can have aspirations in The Sims 4, and with Growing Together, four new ones have been added on. The original four aspirations each focused on a child’s skill: Communication, Imagination, Mental and Motor. The new Growing Together aspirations mixes these skills up, combining aspiration goals that incorporate, for example, Imagination and Motor skills.
The goals for each of the child aspirations are pretty easy. If you want to skip them to work your way up, you can use these cheats for the new The Sims 4 Growing Together aspirations. Each of the four aspirations has 3 levels to climb, starting at level one.
If you’re stuck in a particular aspiration, you can use cheats to bump you up a level or two.
To make these particular cheats work, you’ll need TwistedMaxi’s AllCheats mod installed.

Infant and Toddler Quirk Cheats
One new feature with Growing Together are infant and toddler quirks. These sort of work like extra traits that affects your infant or toddler’s mood and behavior. Infants and toddlers can get up to 3 randomly assigned quirks each that are chosen by the game – unless you use cheats. You can easily swap in and out quirks to your choosing – or even get rid of them completely. Quirks appear in the Traits panel.
Adding/Removing Infant and Toddler Quirks
You can opt to type the cheat into the cheat console, but the infant/toddler quirk cheats are quite lengthy. The Sims 4 Growing Together adds a new option when shift-clicking on your infant or toddler to add and remove these quirks.
First, make sure you’ve entered “testingcheats true” into the cheat console. With that done, shift-click on the infant or toddler whose quirk you want to add or remove. This will bring up the usual interaction menu, but with a few extra commands only accessible through cheats being enabled. The one you want is Pack Cheats. Then select Expansion Packs. Next, click on EP13 – Growing Together. The next option to appear will be Infant Quirks or Toddler Quirks. From here, you have two choices: Add Discoverable Quirk and Remove Quirk.
Once you shift click on your infant or toddler, follow this sequence of options.
When you select Add Discoverable Quirk, you’ll get a menu of all the quirks available. You may notice that some quirks are greyed out and cannot be selected. There may be two reasons for this. First, the quirk has already been assigned. Second, the quirk clashes with another and therefore cannot be chosen. Even with cheats, there are limits. For example, you can’t have an infant who both Loves Being Held and Hates Being Held.
This quirk cannot be assigned as it clashes with a Sim’s quirk or trait.
When your Sim becomes an infant or toddler, all 3 quirks will be assigned, and can be changed with cheats, even if your Sim hasn’t “discovered” them yet. They can also be changed after the quirk has been discovered.
The shift-click infant/toddler cheat is quite useful in finding out what quirks your little one has been randomly assigned, especially since you don’t normally find out until through playing the game. The quirks that are greyed out are the ones that are pre-assigned.
If you don’t like the quirks the game has randomly chosen for you, you have the power to change them thanks to cheats. You can use Remove Quirk, which brings up all the quirks that have been assigned to your infant/toddler. They will all be here, even if the quirk hasn’t been “discovered” during gameplay yet.
You can easily remove quirks with the shift-click method.
It’s important to note that when you add a new quirk to your infant or toddler, the quirk won’t visibly appear in the Traits panel, like traits cheats. This is because you have to discover them through gameplay. However, using the Remove Quirk interaction will visibly make the quirk disappear from the Traits panel.
Infant Quirk Cheats
Altogether, there are 19 quirks for infants with The Sims 4 Growing Together. These cheats allows you to add or remove them.

It’s not just the new infants that gets quirks (and cheats) with The Sims 4 Growing Together. Toddlers can gain quirks too, and here they all are, so you can add or remove them.

Midlife Crisis Cheats
There’s more with Growing Together! Sims in their Adult years can now experience a midlife crisis. This comes in the form of a temporary aspiration, found under the Aspirations panel. Midlife crises tend to last about a week in the game, giving you plenty of time to work on those goals.
With cheats, you can trigger a midlife crisis, if you don’t want to wait for one to come along. These cheats are also handy if you’d rather set your own type of midlife crisis rather than waiting for the game to choose for you.
These are another set of cheats that will need AllCheats installed in order to successfully activate.

Family Dynamics Cheats
Yet another new feature of The Sims 4 Growing Together allows family members to have unique relationships and bonds with each other that they can’t have with non-family Sims. These are normally gained through gameplay and interaction, but these cheats allows you to add and change dynamics of your choosing.
In order to make the family dynamics cheats work, there’s an extra step required. This is to retrieve a Sim’s ID using the ID cheat, which is a base game cheat. This is a one-command process, but you’ll need to do it twice, as you’ll need the ID of both Sims you plan to share a dynamic with.
This is the cheat you need to get a Sim’s ID: sims.get_sim_id_by_name [First and Last Name of Target Sim]
When you enter this cheat correctly, the Sim’s ID number will appear. Write it down somewhere safe so you can use it later. This will be a long number, and you’ll need it for the family dynamics cheats.

Milestone Cheats
There are a HUGE number of Milestones, so there are a lot of cheats to get through here. Milestones are an important, as well as popular, feature that comes with Growing Together, so it makes sense to add it to this collection of cheats for The Sims 4 Growing Together.
As with some of the other cheats, AllCheats by TwistedMaxi is needed to use the Milestone cheats.
Milestones are earned through gameplay, but you can add them using cheats and a specific mod.
The Milestone cheats can be a bit of a mouthful to enter into the cheat console. All Milestone cheats start off with this same command: developmental_milestones.unlock_milestone. After this command, leave a space and enter the Milestone cheat you want according to the Milestone you want to add to your Sim.
Note that some of these Milestones depend on which DLC you have installed. For example, the Born at Hospital Milestone is only available if you have The Sims 4 Get to Work Expansion installed.
