The Sims 4 is regularly graced with updates. Sometimes it’s just for bug fixes, but now and again, updates for The Sims 4 means new free goodies. For the latest update, instead of brand-new objects, many from the base game have been updated to include several new color swatches. This free addition to the game was hinted at in the fall roadmap for The Sims 4. It was mentioned that with a new update, you could “customize your space with color”.
A variety of objects have had new color designs added to them, 149 in total. There’s simply too many to list them individually, but generally, the objects with updated colors are:
- Window Hangings
- Wooden furniture and furnishings, such as tables, mirrors, displays, and décor
- Kitchen appliances, counters, and cabinets
- Chess tables
- Wooden floors
- Garden and window flowers, as well as plant boxes
- All base game windows
This should hopefully please players who like building in the game, with new colors to coordinate as well as mix-and-match. The additional variety of wood colors should also be a welcome update.
This isn’t the only feature introduced in the newest update. To get players excited for the new Kit Packs dropping October 5th, several new Create A Sim additions have been included. These have been inspired by Korean-fashion-themed Incheon Arrivals Kit and Indian-themed Fashion Street Kit. Look out for some new outfits for adults, as well as a new pair of shoes, a bracelet, new headwear, and some new hairstyles. This should give players a taste of what the upcoming Kit Packs have to offer.
