Out of all the extensive DLC you can get for The Sims 4, the ones that divide the fandom the most are probably Kits. Many feel these are pointless, a waste of money, just a quick cash-grab, and that time and effort would be better put into making more Expansions, Game Packs, and Stuff Packs.
I myself admit that I was in this camp, until I got The Sims 4 Desert Luxe Kit for free and saw that Kits did have something to offer. Since then, my Kit collection has grown, and I now own at least half the Kits on offer for The Sims 4. I even wrote an article exploring the pros and cons of The Sims 4 Kits. As Kits are so divisive, I thought it would be interesting, as well as fun, to rank them all.
As of March 2026, there are a total of 57 Kits available for The Sims 4, all offering something different. We’ll go through them all and I’ll rank them from least to top favorite. I’ll also include the Kits I don’t (yet) have. These will be situated at the bottom of my ranking, but I’ll order them based on how likely I would get them one day.
57. Castle Estate Kit
- Release Date: January 18, 2024
- Kit Order: 26
Pros
- Great if you ever want to build castles
- Won a community vote for a new Buy/Build Kit
Cons
- Not personally worried about building any castles (at the moment at least)
The Sims 4 Castle Estate Kit is the first of many Kits I don’t currently own. Why is this one at the very bottom of my list? Don’t get me wrong, I find castles fascinating. I’ve visited enough of them in my lifetime and they all have wonderful history and backstories. I also thoroughly enjoyed playing The Sims Medieval, where as a royal you can live in a castle. It’s just that in the context of The Sims 4, I’m not that worried.
I do like building my own Lots now and again, but castles aren’t one of them. That’s why, until I do decide to build a castle, Castle Estate Kit is not part of my collection.
56. Courtyard Oasis Kit
- Release Date: May 18, 2021
- Kit Order: 4
Pros
- Great for creating an exotic outdoor space
- Comes with a variety of objects, including furniture, décor, and wall and floor patterns
Cons
- Not that worried about getting this
I find exotic items fascinating, such as the ones included in The Sims 4 Courtyard Oasis Kit. The stuff in this Kit reminds me of the items you got with The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff.
However, the reason I haven’t got this Kit yet is because I can’t see myself using it that much. Saying that, the content packaged with this Kit is very attractive, and I like that you get furniture, decorations, lighting, architecture items, and floor and wall patterns to complete that beautiful exotic outdoor space. Perhaps one day I will be tempted to get it.
55. Bust the Dust Kit
- Release Date: March 2, 2021
- Kit Order: 1
Pros
- Gameplay looks… interesting?
- Actually includes new Aspirations
- Great if you want to simulate cleaning up in The Sims 4
Cons
- This Kit doesn’t capture my attention enough to get it
Bust the Dust was one of the very first Kits released for The Sims 4, alongside Country Kitchen and Throwback Fit. The idea was that each of these Kits was a different kind of Kit. Bust the Dust was labeled as a Gameplay Kit.
The Sims 4 Bust the Dust is very unique. It includes five new objects, all of which are vacuum cleaners, and the idea is that a Lot can be “invaded” with dust bunnies. The goal is to hoover up all these dust bunnies using the cleaners. There are even two new Aspirations that come exclusively with this Kit. One focuses on keeping an immaculately tidy Lot, while the other embraces a messy lifestyle.
So why have I not (yet) invested in Bust the Dust? Simply because it doesn’t interest me enough. I don’t really mind cleaning in The Sims 4; there is something strangely therapeutic about it. However, I just don’t want to be laden with more chore-like gameplay. My Sims have enough to deal with already!
54. Industrial Loft Kit
- Release Date: August 26, 2021
- Kit Order: 5
Pros
- Great for adding industrial-style furniture and decorations
Cons
- Not worried about this Kit at the moment
The Sims 4 Industrial Loft Kit is another one I have yet to get. I’m not that big on industrial-style items, although browsing through the list of available objects, they do look quite good. Perhaps one day I’ll change my mind. These objects would look especially good in apartments.
53. Basement Treasures Kit
- Release Date: April 20, 2023
- Kit Order: 20
Pros
- Adds items specifically designed for basements
Cons
- Don’t normally have basements in my game, so I haven’t bothered with this Kit
Basements are a cool thing to have in The Sims 4. They can serve as extra space for your Sims, or cool hangout spots. If you want to create a basement setting where old stuff is kept, then The Sims 4 Basement Treasures Kit is what you’re looking for. It even includes things like an old TV and worn-out sofa. The reason I don’t personally have this Kit is that I don’t normally worry with basements in The Sims 4, although if I did change my mind, I know this Kit is available.

Need your Sim’s basement to look cluttered with old discarded items? Basement Treasures Kit has you covered.
52. Everyday Clutter Kit
- Release Date: November 10, 2022
- Kit Order: 16
Pros
- Like clutter objects in The Sims 4? This Kit is for you
Cons
- Not worried about clutter objects? You probably won’t be bothered with this Kit
I actually quite like clutter objects in The Sims 4. They can really fill a space and make it feel lived in. So why then have I not got Everyday Clutter Kit? To be honest, with all the packs I have installed, I’m quite happy with the amount of clutter items available to me, so I don’t really feel the need to get this specific Kit. Maybe one day, but for now, I’m good.
51. Décor to the Max Kit
- Release Date: March 21, 2022
- Kit Order: 11
Pros
- Comes with bold and bright objects
- The objects look really cool, especially with the tigers!
Cons
- The style of the objects might be a little “out there” for some
I nearly got The Sims 4 Décor to the Max Kit when it was first announced and released. I was really attracted to the bright, bold, and beautiful stylish objects. I’m not sure why I ultimately didn’t get it. Maybe the objects were a little too flamboyant? Perhaps one day I’ll be tempted to finally get it, like some of the other Kits.
50. Riviera Retreat Kit
- Release Date: May 30, 2024
- Kit Order: 31
Pros
- Adds sophisticated outdoor objects specifically for the pool
- Looks good in worlds like Tartosa (but anywhere really!)
Cons
- Might not use much if you’re not worried about building outdoors
The Sims 4 Riviera Retreat was another Kit I very nearly got but didn’t. Looking back, I kind of wish I had. The objects in this Kit look so stylish. Perhaps because I don’t tend to worry about my outdoor spaces that much, I didn’t think I would use it much. This is definitely a Kit I’m considering getting sometime in the future.

If you spend a lot of time outdoors by the pool, The Sims 4 Riviera Retreat Kit will make these spaces look sophisticated.
49. Simtimates Collection Kit
- Release Date: January 19, 2023
- Kit Order: 19
Pros
- Adds new lingerie for older Sims
Cons
- May not appeal if you’re not into lingerie wear
With The Sims 4, I love anything that adds new nightwear. I love pyjamas. So why did I pass on The Sims 4 Simtimates Collection Kit? At the time it came out, I wasn’t interested. I’m not that big on lingerie wear. Saying that, Simtimates does add some pyjama-type items. It might also be nice to give Sims some more sophisticated wear for the bedroom.
Simtimates is one of those Kits, along with a few others, that I’ve had my eye on getting, and perhaps I will some day.
48. Cozy Bistro Kit
- Release Date: May 30, 2024
- Kit Order: 30
Pros
- Has everything you need to build the perfect bistro
- Comes with a pre-built bistro you can place in any world
Cons
- May not be of interest if you’re not planning to build bistros
For some reason, I actually thought I had bought The Sims 4 Cozy Bistro Kit, but as it turned out, I hadn’t. It does look quite interesting though, especially the cool and cozy vibes the objects bring to a bistro setting.
I should get this Kit one day, and if I do, I’ll update this list accordingly. For now, it sits high-up on my unpurchased-ranked Kits for The Sims 4.
47. SpongeBob’s House Kit
- Release Date: December 4, 2025
- Kit Order: 41
Pros
- Great if you’re a fan of SpongeBob SquarePants
- Includes fun items from SpongeBob, everything you need to build a Pineapple-Under-the-Sea
Cons
- Feels a bit out of place and a bit too cartoony, even for The Sims 4!
- Only really for die-hard SpongeBob fans
We’ve finally reached the first Kit in this ranking that I actually own (as of writing this), and that’s SpongeBob’s House Kit. Basically, everything you need to recreate SpongeBob SquarePants’s iconic house, aka his pineapple-under-the-sea, is all packaged in this Kit. If you’re a die-hard SpongeBob fan, you’ll be in heaven. Otherwise, you probably won’t use it that much.
It does come with some really cool objects, like SpongeBob’s bed and sofa, plus a functioning foghorn alarm clock that is so fun to use. Plus, the wallpaper prints are just too awesome.
However, the objects do kind of feel out of place, too cartoonish, even for an already-slightly cartoony game like The Sims 4. Still, it’s a fun Kit to own.
46. Modern Menswear Kit
- Release Date: December 2, 2021
- Kit Order: 9
Pros
- Adds more clothing for men
- Clothing is very cool and stylish
Cons
- Don’t use this Kit very much
Why have I put The Sims 4 Modern Menswear almost last in my owned-Kits ranking? I actually find it a shame that I have, as it’s not a bad Kit at all and the items are really cool, but it’s sadly one of those cases where I simply use or like the other Kits more.
I was initially attracted to Modern Menswear because the fashions looked really cool, and was different to what we normally get for masculine Sims. It’s just that I don’t tend to dress my Sims much in these outfits.
I hate myself for unintentionally overlooking this Kit. Perhaps I should pay more attention to it and have my Sims dress up in these trendy threads, instead of sticking to the usual normal, boring jumpers and jeans. Why shouldn’t my Sims make a statement and stand out from the crowd in these fresh, stylish outfits?
45. Blooming Rooms Kit
- Release Date: November 9, 2021
- Kit Order: 8
Pros
- May be attractive to botanical-loving players
- Adds lots of new interesting plants, namely for indoor use
Cons
- Some might find it a little outlandish
- Don’t personally use very much
I myself am surprised I don’t rank Blooming Rooms very high, but it’s probably because like Modern Menswear, I don’t use the stuff from this Kit much. I think I actually got this one for free, as it was available for free for a brief period. I do like having indoor plants, but I just find Blooming Rooms a tad over-the-top. That’s just me though, as I know a lot of people like owning big collections of indoor plants.
44. Modern Retreat Kit
- Release Date: November 13, 2025
- Creator Kit Order: 9
Pros
- Adds stylish, sophisticated objects designed for living room space
Cons
- Feels a bit forgettable
I actually hate critiquing Creator Kits specifically because I love it when notable content creators of The Sims 4 come forward and present their very own Kits, even if it’s ones I may not necessarily use a lot. I do like The Sims 4 Modern Retreat Kit, but unfortunately it does feel a little forgettable. It might be that it’s still relatively new and I’ve just overlooked it, so that’s on me.
43. Garden to Table Kit
- Release Date: November 13, 2025
- Creator Kit Order: 10
Pros
- Adds stylish outdoor objects
Cons
- Simply (but strangely) don’t use it very much personally
It’s a shame I’ve had to put The Sims 4 Garden to Table Kit so low, as this is actually a good Kit with nice-looking objects. I like the idea of having a stylish outdoor space for my Sims, especially on a warm sunny afternoon, where they can relax and eat and chat after a day’s gardening or working or whatever. I just haven’t had the chance to use the stuff very much in my own games. Perhaps I’ll make the effort and do so the next time I play.
42. Desert Luxe Kit
- Release Date: September 14, 2022
- Kit Order: 15
Pros
- Adds some really cool outdoor items
- I got it for free!
Cons
- I don’t use the stuff much
The Sims 4 Desert Luxe Kit was made available for free to players who already owned The Sims 4 when it became free-to-play a while ago – and you can hardly turn down a free Kit! This was actually the very first Kit I got for The Sims 4, and made me realize that Kits had something to offer. Although I don’t use the stuff from Desert Luxe that much, I still really like it, and do plan to use it in the future.

The Sims 4 Desert Luxe Kit works really great in worlds like Oasis Springs, StrangerVille, and Chestnut Ridge.
41. Silver Screen Style Kit
- Release Date: February 12, 2026
- Kit Order: 44
Pros
- Adds stylish and sophisticated outfits 1940s noir-style
Cons
- Don’t use very much
I got The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Grand Bundle, which also meant I got the Silver Screen Style Kit. This is a neat Fashion Kit, with stylish 1940s noir-themed clothing items. This stuff always reminds me of L.A. Noire, which is a great game. I like the aesthetics this Kit brings, but I don’t tend to use it much, which is why I have to put it down here on this list.
40. Golden Years Kit
- Release Date: May 1, 2025
- Kit Order: 37
Pros
- Adds stuff specifically for older Sims
Cons
- Does get used, but not that often
Finally, something for older Sims! I do feel like the Elder life stage does sometimes get overlooked in The Sims 4, so it’s nice to have a Kit specifically tailored to them, and this stuff is pretty neat. I don’t have anything bad to say about it, except as I don’t always play as older Sims, I don’t use The Sims 4 Golden Years Kit as much.
Saying that, when I do play as an Elder Sim, these items are ready and waiting for me, and I really like the stuff, especially the long nightie for feminine Sims. I also have my younger life stage Sims wear this, so this Kit does get used.
39. Business Chic Kit
- Release Date: January 30, 2025
- Creator Kit Order: 3
Pros
- Adds sophisticated and stylish outfits specifically tailored to business Sims
- Good variety of swatches
- Adds equal number of stuff for masculine and feminine Sims
Cons
- Unless my Sims are exceptionally wealthy or business-centered, I don’t use this stuff much
The Sims 4 Business Chic isn’t half bad. I like the selection of outfits available. However, I don’t tend to use this Kit that much. I’ll probably have my Sims wearing this stuff if they work in business or are wealthy, but as I often play households with lower income and more creative careers, they might not get worn very much. Nevertheless, I do admire the items and know that they are a go-to for future use.
38. Refined Living Room Kit
- Release Date: January 30, 2025
- Creator Kit Order: 4
Pros
- Comes with stylish and sleek objects designed for living room/study use
Cons
- A bit too minimalist and modern for my tastes
Since first writing this ranking, I’ve had more time to let this Kit, The Sims 4 Refined Living Room, soak in. It’s not a bad Kit, but weirdly, as a minimalist myself, it does feel a little stripped-back, as well as a bit too modern and contemporary for my personal taste. Still, the items are nice. I especially like the wall painting, and the objects come in a nice palette of colors.
37. Yard Charm Kit
- Release Date: February 26, 2026
- Creator Kit Order: 12
Pros
- Adds a bunch of cool stuff for your backyard, including a new hot tub
- Includes stuff for front yard, not just backyard
Cons
- Feels oddly lacking in content
The Sims 4 Yard Charm is one of the newest Kits on this list (to date). It’s actually a pretty decent Kit. I like the modern design of the objects and the selection you get, including a new colorful wooden hot tub. I also appreciate that stuff was included to go in the front yard of your house, not just the back.
However, as good as what we get it, Yard Charm feels strangely lacking in content, despite having the same amount as other Kits. I’m not sure why. But at the end of the day, quality rules over quantity, and the items are cool.
36. Restoration Workshop Kit
- Release Date: May 1, 2025
- Kit Order: 39
Pros
- Adds objects to create a cool workshop space such as a garage or shed
- Includes three objects you can fix up to build Handiness and then use
Cons
- Don’t use this Kit very much
The Sims 4 Restoration Workshop Kit is another that I appreciate the concept of and its purpose, but I don’t actually use it very much in the game. However, it is a good Kit. I like the style of the objects and the choice of color swatches you get.
The best part though is the fixer-upper objects such as the stove, microwave, and refrigerator. Not only can you then use these as functioning objects, but you can also build your Handiness Skill. They can also be sold for money, if you wish to take that approach.
35. Grange Mudroom Kit
- Release Date: August 21, 2025
- Creator Kit Order: 7
Pros
- Creates objects that focuses on an otherwise neglected space in your house
- Objects can also be utilized in other rooms and spaces
- Nice range of swatches
Cons
- Admittedly not used very much
The entrance to your home is typically the first room you enter upon arriving home, and naturally, you want it to be warm and welcoming. This Kit, Grange Mudroom, is designed just for that, creating an elegant and stylish entrance room for your house.
This Kit comes with a nice selection of objects, notably the cupboards and cabinets. The wallpapers create a very nice touch as well. The best part is these objects can work in other rooms as well, not just the hallway.

A Kit that specifically adds entrance room objects may seem odd, but they work nicely. Why neglect your home’s entrance?
34. Kitchen Clutter Kit
- Release Date: May 1, 2025
- Kit Order: 38
Pros
- Adds clutter objects just for the kitchen
- Objects make kitchens look more lived-in
Cons
- Another neglected Kit on my list
I’m sad that I don’t use The Sims 4 Kitchen Clutter Kit more, as I actually really like this Kit. I like the theme of it, the aesthetics, and the objects themselves. You get a new refrigerator with stickers and magnetics and drawings stuck all over it, a sink full of dirty dishes and cutlery, and all the clutter objects are just really neat.
If you’re a clutter fan in The Sims 4, this should be a part of your collection. There’s no better place to have clutter than in a kitchen – unless there’s no room left to cook!
33. Essential Glam Kit
- Release Date: August 21, 2025
- Creator Kit Order: 8
Pros
- Adds a great selection of new make-up for various occasions
Cons
- If your Sims don’t often wear make-up, you might not use it much
I like having my Sims wear make-up, especially in The Sims because the options available are fun and creative, and they can complete your Sim’s look. I don’t always bother with it, but when I do, I like it.
I’ll admit that when Essential Glam, the first ever make-up Kit for The Sims 4, was revealed, I was a bit sceptical. Would there be enough included to make it worth it? As it turned out, there was. You get a good selection of new make-up for your Sims, primarily for more glammed-up occasions, but why not more casual wear as well? I always like it when new make-up is added to The Sims 4, and Essential Glam Kit is no exception.
32. Prairie Dreams Kit
- Release Date: December 11, 2025
- Creator Kit Order: 11
Pros
- Adds a neat selection of cottagecore-type outfits for masculine and feminine Sims
- Sweet set of accessories
- The color swatches and patterns are good
- Goes perfectly with other DLC such as Cottage Living and Horse Ranch
Cons
- Don’t use very much
The Sims 4 Prairie Dreams Kit is a decent addition to the long list of Kits in The Sims 4. It has a really lovely spring/summery feel to it and it certainly is very fitting for the prairie theme. The individual items are gorgeous and there’s a good balance for masculine and feminine styles.
I personally haven’t used this Kit much since getting it. It feels like much longer ago since it came out. I would like to use this Kit more though.
31. Fashion Street Kit
- Release Date: October 5, 2021
- Kit Order: 6
Pros
- The clothing items are sweet and exotic and come in beautiful patterns and colors
- Feels like you get a lot with this Kit
Cons
- Don’t use items very much
I really hate myself for not using the stuff from The Sims 4 Fashion Street more, because I actually really like it. I love the Indian clothing, with all the different beautiful colors and patterns, as well as the accessories. I should use this Kit a lot more, and perhaps I will.
30. Cozy Kitsch Kit
- Release Date: November 14, 2024
- Creator Kit Order: 2
Pros
- Includes bold and sophisticated retro objects
- Good number of objects included
Cons
- Hard to think of anything bad, depends if I feel like using it in game
In the category of Object Kits, I really like The Sims 4 Cozy Kitsch Kit. I love the bold designs, especially the checker patterns, as well as the equally-bold colors used throughout. You can create a really cool space with these objects.
29. Greenhouse Haven Kit
- Release Date: April 20, 2023
- Kit Order: 21
Pros
- Ideal if you have Sims with green fingers
- Looks great in any garden setting
- You can build greenhouses!
Cons
- Not a gardener? Probably not appealing enough
- May need plenty of space to build the greenhouse
I really like The Sims 4 Greenhouse Haven Kit. However, I recollect the one time I spent ages building a new greenhouse in my game, looking forward to using it – and then my game decided to crash. I made the classic schoolboy mistake of not saving my work, so of course I lost my greenhouse, and I was so gutted I couldn’t be bothered to do it all again.
Regardless of this unfortunate incident, it didn’t put me off liking Greenhouse Haven. Everything you need to build a greenhouse is right here. I loved the greenhouses from The Sims 2 Seasons, so this was a welcome addition to The Sims 4. I also often have Sims who have green fingers and spend time gardening, or flower arranging, so this was a big green thumbs-up from me.
28. Wonderland Playroom Kit
- Release Date: February 26, 2026
- Kit Order: 45
Pros
- Excellently captures Alice in Wonderland theme
- Every object feels fun, creative, and lovingly-made
- Fun and vibrant color and pattern swatches
Cons
- Could have included items for bedroom, notably a bed
I love anything that’s Alice in Wonderland themed. I don’t just mean the movies, but just the whole concept of it. It’s weird, yes, but in a good way. It’s fun, silly, and imaginative. We all need a bit of silliness and weirdness in our lives.
I really appreciate that a whole Kit was made around Alice in Wonderland, and that’s The Sims 4 Wonderland Playroom Kit. I’m actually surprised this hasn’t been done already! I absolutely adore the objects that come with this Kit, every single one. They’re exactly what makes Alice great.
My only gripe is that they didn’t include a new Alice-themed bed. I know this Kit is specifically designed for a playroom in mind, but I felt an opportunity was missed here. Otherwise it’s nearly perfect.
In fact, it’s probably one of the best Kits of The Sims 4 in recent times – even though it somehow ends up so low on this list!
27. Artist Studio Kit
- Release Date: September 19, 2024
- Kit Order: 32
Pros
- Want to build an art studio or space for your artistic Sims? This has everything you need!
Cons
- If the above doesn’t apply, you probably won’t worry
When I saw there was a Kit with items specifically for having your own art studio in The Sims 4, I was thrilled. I’m quite artistic, and I like my Sims to be artistic too, so with The Sims 4 Artist Studio Kit, having a dedicated space for painting and woodwork was a neat idea.
26. Secret Sanctuary Kit
- Release Date: January 16, 2025
- Kit Order: 36
Pros
- Includes both Buy/Build mode and Create-A-Sim items
- CAS stuff is really sophisticated and stylish
- Buy/Build mode stuff isn’t bad either
Cons
- Buy/Build mode stuff probably not as good as CAS
On January 16th 2025, The Sims 4 got two Kits, one that was masculine and inspired by Don Lothario, the other feminine and inspired by Bella Goth. The latter is Secret Sanctuary Kit. You might find it odd that I ranked the masculine Kit over the feminine one.
I do like The Sims 4 Secret Sanctuary, especially the new stuff you get in Create-A-Sim. There’s some seriously stylish stuff for your Sims! The reason I ranked this lower though is because I felt that while the new Buy/Build objects weren’t bad, they weren’t as good as the CAS content.
25. Storybook Nursery Kit
- Release Date: September 19, 2024
- Kit Order: 33
Pros
- Includes new stuff for Newborns, Infants, Toddlers (and technically Child Sims as well)
- Beautiful vintage items in gorgeous swatches
Cons
- Old-fashioned items might not appeal to everyone
I love it whenever we get new stuff for kids in The Sims 4, whether it’s new toys, activities, décor, or Create-A-Sim stuff. Storybook Nursery is perfect for that then.
It includes stuff for all the young life stages in The Sims 4, from newborn babies to young children. I especially love the mix of pastel and dark colored swatches, so it feels like we have a lot of choice and creativity in decking out kids’ rooms. The old-fashioned look of these items are also a welcome addition because before, most of the kids’ stuff was modern, so it’s nice to have some more variety.
24. Party Essentials Kit
- Release Date: April 18, 2024
- Kit Order: 28
Pros
- Great if you want more party stuff
- Items are really fun and colorful
Cons
- Might not use much if you’re not really a party animal
I don’t usually bother with parties, both in The Sims and the real world. However, that doesn’t stop me from liking The Sims 4 Party Essentials Kit. I think it’s because I like the items on offer, and they’re all fun and in bright cheery colors to liven up any party. If I do ever host a party in my game, I’ll make sure to remember this Kit.
23. Urban Homage Kit
- Release Date: April 18, 2024
- Kit Order: 29
Pros
- Includes cool retro 90s clothing
- Comes in bright and bold colors
- Great for everyday wear, or parties
Cons
- Might be too “party-like” for casual wear
I really like The Sims 4 Urban Homage Kit. Perhaps it’s because I was born in the 90s, although I was really too young to remember that decade. Even so, I like all the CAS stuff that comes with this Kit, especially the bold colors and designs. It works well for everyday casual wear, or if your Sim is heading to a party. This Kit also came out the same time as Party Essentials, and I think the two Kits work really well together.
22. Little Campers Kit
- Release Date: May 26, 2022
- Kit Order: 12
Pros
- Adds fun new stuff for kids
- Combines well with other packs like Growing Together, Outdoor Retreat, and Movie Hangout
Cons
- Don’t really use the stuff much
I like The Sims 4 Little Campers Kit. It’s fun, cool, and caters to kids. Having an outdoor space for kids to hang out and have sleepovers and camp-outs and watch movies on a cloth projector screen? Sweet!

What’s a better hangout place for kids than outdoors around a firepit watching movies? That’s what you get with The Sims 4 Little Campers Kit!
21. Casanova Cave Kit
- Release Date: January 16, 2025
- Kit Order: 34
Pros
- Adds CAS and Buy/Build items
- All the content is really cool!
Cons
- Only has 10-15 items each for CAS/BB mode
The Sims 4 Casanova Cave Kit should basically be called The Sims 4 Don Lothario Kit, as it’s inspired by his character. Between this and the Bella Goth-driven Secret Sanctuary Kit, Casanova Cave is, in my opinion, slightly more superior. Apart from liking the items better generally, I also feel the balance of Create-A-Sim and Build/Buy objects is an improvement.
20. Incheon Arrivals Kit
- Release Date: October 5, 2021
- Kit Order: 7
Pros
- Adds some really cool styles
Cons
- Better suited for city and streetwear
At first I wasn’t sure I’d use The Sims 4 Incheon Arrivals Kit very much, but now I use it quite often. I think it’s the good mix of smart streetwear but also more casual threads. The long coat, boots, sneakers, and tracksuit are particular favorites for me. I also really like the color and pattern swatches.
19. Goth Galore Kit
- Release Date: January 18, 2024
- Kit Order: 27
Pros
- Adds goth style to The Sims 4
Cons
- Goth fashion may not be for everyone
I’m surprised myself at how much I like The Sims 4 Goth Galore Kit. I’m certainly not a goth myself! I did have my hair dyed dark purple once, but that probably doesn’t count. Anyway, I was pleased that a goth Kit was added to The Sims 4 because I did feel we needed more goth fashion, and this Kit actually does this very well.
I should also mention that this was a community voted Kit, alongside Castle Estate. I did actually vote for the other CAS option, which was rainbow outfits, so I was a tiny bit disappointed that the goth style won, but when I saw Goth Galore, I knew the community had voted well.
18. Book Nook Kit
- Release Date: June 1, 2023
- Kit Order: 22
Pros
- Adds cozy study/living room stuff
- Ideal for book-loving Sims
- Also works for Sims who are writers
Cons
- Might be too niche if you’re not into books or study room settings
The Sims 4 Book Nook Kit is really neat in that it includes everything you need to build a book lover or writer’s paradise. You can surround yourself with books in a cozy setting. I just like the general vibe that Book Nook provides.
17. Autumn Apparel Kit
- Release Date: October 9, 2025
- Kit Order: 40
Pros
- Appeals to those who love autumn
- Great range of items for masculine and feminine Sims
- Nice selection of seasonal color and pattern swatches
Cons
- Colors can feel a tad muted and dull
I love the autumn. It’s my favorite time of year. I love the color of the autumn leaves and the cozy vibes of the season. That’s why I really like The Sims 4 Autumn Apparel Kit. I know we already have the Seasons Expansion, but to have a Kit just for autumn fashions was a great idea.
I love the collection of clothing items and accessories. Sims can enjoy the autumn in style and look very cozy and in-season. I especially love the thick sweaters and gloves with the matching hat.
16. Modern Luxe Kit
- Release Date: September 7, 2023
- Kit Order: 24
Pros
- Adds stylish and luxurious bedroom items
- Nice variety of swatches for a sophisticated setting
Cons
- Might not appeal to those uninterested in expensive luxury items
In a way, The Sims 4 Modern Luxe Kit reminds me a bit of The Sims 2 Glamour Life Stuff. That Stuff Pack wasn’t half bad, and neither is Modern Luxe. I don’t normally go for luxury in The Sims 4, but the items in this Kit are really sweet and stylish. It’s kind of hard to resist using this stuff, and why shouldn’t my Sims have a bit of luxury?
15. Grunge Revival Kit
- Release Date: June 1, 2023
- Kit Order: 23
Pros
- Grunge clothing, yes!
- Great variety of swatches
- Sims look really cool wearing this stuff
Cons
- Don’t like grunge clothing? Probably no, then
I surprisingly liked The Sims 4 Goth Galore, but I probably like The Sims 4 Grunge Revival Kit even more. No, I’m not a grunge person either, but I just like this stuff a little better. I especially like dressing my teen Sims up in this stuff. It feels like you get quite a lot packaged in this Kit, even if it is the same amount as any other Fashion Kit.
14. Country Kitchen Kit
- Release Date: March 2, 2021
- Kit Order: 2
Pros
- Ideal if you want to build a kitchen in a classic rural style
- Quality over quantity
- Beautifully-designed objects
- Variety of swatches, from pastels to more muted colors
Cons
- If the above point doesn’t apply to you, you probably won’t be worried
- Has only 15 items compared to usual 25 today
When the first three Kits were released back in 2021, Country Kitchen actually caught my eye. This was because The Sims 2 Seasons Expansion included a bunch of country-themed objects, including for the kitchen, and I loved it. And The Sims 4 Country Kitchen Kit reminded me of those items.
For a long time, I didn’t have this Kit, feeling there wasn’t enough content to worry me (which is true, as there’s only 15 new items compared to the standard 25 you get in most Kits now). However, when The Sims 4 Marketplace arrived, Country Kitchen Kit became available for free. I’m not one to turn down a good freebie, so I downloaded it straight away. As quickly as I grabbed it, I fell in love with it.
Despite the lack of objects, this is a case of quality over quantity. Every item is worthwhile and really creates that beautiful vintage country kitchen look. I especially like that the display shelf and sculpture items (which actually feel more like clutter) have these different intricate designs. I have no regrets finally getting my hands on this Kit, free or otherwise.
13. Bathroom Clutter Kit
- Release Date: January 19, 2023
- Kit Order: 18
Pros
- Adds items specifically for decorating bathrooms
- Good variety of items
- Good selection of swatches
Cons
- Might pass if you’re not worried about decking out bathrooms
I don’t always bother with decorating bathrooms. They’re usually just a place where my Sims go to have a shower, bath, use the toilet, wash their hands, or use a mirror. Bathrooms serve more as a practical means.
However, why shouldn’t bathrooms be a bit more interesting? What if you could make them feel more lived in and homely, like the rest of your Sim’s home? That’s why I like The Sims 4 Bathroom Clutter Kit. I like a lot of the little stuff that comes with this Kit, like the storage unit, the electric toothbrush, soap dish, shelf of items, jar of bath salts… It’s just really neat.
12. Comfy Gamer Kit
- Release Date: January 16, 2025
- Kit Order: 35
Pros
- Perfect for gamers
- Works with designing bedrooms/study rooms
- Great variety of swatches
Cons
- Some might find this Kit “too feminine” or “girly”
I love The Sims 4 Comfy Gamer Kit. This appeals to me perfectly, and I have plenty of Sims, young and old, who enjoy computers and gaming, so this is something I’d use quite a bit. I know I mentioned about this Kit being “girly”, but that’s not entirely true. There are swatches other than pastel ones, such as black, if you want to get a more neutral look.
11. Throwback Fit Kit
- Release Date: March 2, 2021
- Kit Order: 3
Pros
- Really cool vintage fitness wear
- Love the colorful swatches
- Includes stuff for kids and older Sims
Cons
- Wish we had more swatches with the purple multi-colored patterned design
I love The Sims 4 Throwback Fit Kit. It’s actually the only original Kit I currently own. I just love the range of clothing, especially their bright and bold swatches. Usually when I style my Sims, when it comes to fitness wear, this is my go-to range.
10. Tea Time Solarium Kit
- Release Date: February 12, 2026
- Kit Order: 43
Pros
- Beautiful selection of objects
- Can create a sophisticated and elegant solarium
- Objects come with great color and pattern swatches
- Perfectly goes with The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Grand Bundle
Cons
- Haven’t used much yet (but want to!)
The Sims 4 Tea Time Solarium Kit was included with The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Grand Bundle, along with Silver Screen Style Kit. Of the two Kits, I prefer Tea Time Solarium. I haven’t had much chance to use it yet, but I do really like all the stuff that comes with this Kit. They’re so elegant and sophisticated. I especially like the flowery table cloths and the intricately-designed windows.
9. Moonlight Chic Kit
- Release Date: May 26, 2022
- Kit Order: 13
Pros
- Absolutely adore the clothing
- Looks great for many occasions
- Great variety of colors
- Lots packed in this Kit
Cons
- More feminine stuff than masculine
I seriously love The Sims 4 Moonlight Chic Kit. When I first saw it, I liked it, but when I bought it, I loved it. It comes with a lot of great outfits that I frequently dress my Sims in. They also look great for several occasions, whether it be casual everyday wear, slightly smarter wear, parties, even formal wear. You can get a lot of use out of Moonlight Chic.
8. Sleek Bathroom Kit
- Release Date: April 10, 2025
- Creator Kit Order: 5
Pros
- Adds great new stuff for bathroom
- Selection of objects allow you to get really creative
- Great range of color swatches
Cons
- Could maybe had added extra wall or floor tile patterns to create more variety
I’ve got a thing for bathrooms in The Sims, ever since The Sims 2 Kitchen & Bathroom Interior Stuff Pack, which was one of my favorites from The Sims 2. The Sims 4 Sleek Bathroom Kit is the same story. I love the selection of colors we get to choose from, and the objects are so well designed with their sleek and modern looks. Nowadays, whenever I’m redesigning a bathroom in The Sims 4, I usually use the stuff from this Kit.
- Release Date: February 3, 2022
- Kit Order: 10
Pros
- Love the clothing with this Kit
- Includes great stuff for feminine and masculine Sims
- Adore the colors, patterns, and swatches
- Can be worn either for parties or everyday wear
Cons
- Some might find it too “party-like” for everyday wear
I love The Sims 4 Carnaval Streetwear, which I actually find bizarre as I previously stated that I’m not a party goer in The Sims 4. That is true, but I love this Kit’s stuff so much, I have my Sims wear these items anyway. I mostly use this stuff for party wear, but they also look great for hot weather outfits.
6. First Fits Kit
- Release Date: September 1, 2022
- Kit Order: 14
Pros
- Adds cool new threads for kids
- Items are mostly gender neutral
Cons
- May not be for players who don’t normally worry with child life stage
More kids’ stuff? Yes, please! I really like The Sims 4 First Fits Kit because even though I think the base game clothes for kids is good, First Fits adds more stuff that’s a little edgier. Any kids will look seriously trendy in the stuff from this Kit.
5. Poolside Splash Kit
- Release Date: September 7, 2023
- Kit Order: 25
Pros
- New swimwear, yes!
- Includes stuff for kids and older Sims
- Great swatches
- Also has really good accessories
- Not just swimwear, but summer wear too
Cons
- Might not be for those who aren’t interested in swimwear
I’ve heard that a lot of people don’t care for this Kit (or Kits in general, let’s be honest). I’m certainly not one of them. I absolutely love The Sims 4 Poolside Splash Kit.
Why do I like it so much? For a long time, I found the swimwear in The Sims 4 decent, until this came along, and now whenever my Sims need swimwear, these are my go-to items. I just struggle to find anything bad to say about this Kit.

The new swimwear options from The Sims 4 Poolside Splash Kit will ensure that your Sims look stylish at the pool!
4. SpongeBob Kid’s Room Kit
- Release Date: December 4, 2025
- Kit Order: 42
Pros
- Perfect for SpongeBob fans
- Includes both Buy/Build and CAS items
- Great variety of color and pattern swatches
- Adds new stuff for kids
Cons
- Non-SpongeBob fans might not care too much about this
I love SpongeBob SquarePants. I loved watching the TV show growing up, and even occasionally watch it now and again when I feel like watching something silly but lighthearted. That’s probably why I love The Sims 4 SpongeBob Kid’s Room Kit so much.
I like getting new kids stuff in The Sims, and with this SpongeBob-themed bedroom stuff? Even better still! What’s even better yet? New SpongeBob pyjamas, for kids and older Sims! SpongeBob fans will be in seventh heaven with all this stuff.
3. Sweet Allure Kit
- Release Date: April 10, 2025
- Creator Kit Order: 6
Pros
- Adds cute and stylish outfits for masculine and feminine Sims
- Comes in great variety of pastel-colored swatches
- Great fun mixing and matching clothing items
- Accessories really top off the look
Cons
- Wish we had an extra outfit or two, and another pair of shoes
I absolutely adore The Sims 4 Sweet Allure Kit. This Kit comes with a fantastic selection of tops, bottoms, outfits, and matching accessories to complete your Sim’s look. The variety of swatches in sweet pastel colors are just chef’s kiss. I have a lot of fun mixing and matching the different items with this Kit. I also appreciate that male Sims didn’t get overlooked with a Kit in this style.
You also feel like you get a lot packaged with Sweet Allure, despite having the same amount of content as other Fashion Kits.
2. Pastel Pop Kit
- Release Date: November 10, 2022
- Kit Order: 17
Pros
- Love all the objects with this Kit!
- Adore all the different colors and patterns
- Works well with High School Years and Comfy Gamer
Cons
- Another one of those Kits that might be considered “too girly” for some
- Wish there was a single version of the bed
I love, love, LOVE The Sims 4 Pastel Pop Kit. These are my go-to set whenever I’m designing a teen’s room. I just love the different objects and their variety of swatches. It’s so pretty!
1. Sweet Slumber Party Kit
- Release Date: November 14, 2024
- Creator Kit Order: 1
Pros
- I love new pyjamas!
- Has stuff for feminine and masculine Sims
- Not just pyjamas, but accessories too
- Great variety of colors and patterns
Cons
- Might pass if you’re not bothered about pyjamas
- Mainly focuses on feminine wear
We’ve finally made it to my number one Kit for The Sims 4, and that is Sweet Slumber Party.
I was VERY excited to learn we were finally getting DLC dedicated to pyjamas, which I love. The pyjamas in The Sims 4 are pretty decent, but the stuff with this Kit are just excellent. I was a bit worried when I got it that I’d be disappointed and it wouldn’t be what I thought, but it was much better than I hoped.
Now whenever I get my Sims dressed up for bed, these items are my most used. I just wish this stuff came ten years ago! Thank you Trillyke for doing this Kit – seriously!
