One of the Game Packs for The Sims 4Spa Day, is officially getting a refresh. With the anniversary of The Sims 4Spa Day is getting updated with new content and gameplay on top of its original features. It’s an unusual move by EA, as this is the first time any pack has ever been “refreshed”, but it should be a welcome one. The Sims 4: Spa Day will officially be refreshed on September 7th. Those who already own Spa Day will get the updated version for free.

The Sims 4: Spa Day was originally released July 2015 as the second Game Pack for The Sims 4. This Game Pack allows your Sims to visit the spa, complete with massage tables and chairs, mud baths, saunas, meditation, relaxing bath soaks, and yoga. Spa Day introduced the Wellness Skill, which helps your Sims to relieve stress. The Wellness Skill can be built up by doing yoga and meditation, as well as using the sauna and getting a massage. Climbing the Wellness Skill unlocks new interactions and abilities to further help your Sims get relaxed.

The newly revamped version of Spa Day has all its original features kept intact, but it’s getting some new features to expand the Game Pack. A new trait is coming with the refresh, High Maintenance Sim. Sims with this trait will struggle with trivial everyday things more than the average Sim, but a trip to the spa should keep them happy. There’s also a new aspiration, which will center around the Wellness Skill and pampering your Sims.

Your Sims can now get their nails done in fabulous designs and styles.

The Wellness Skill is getting expanded. Children can now gain this skill, and can take part in activities such as yoga. As well as this, those with developed Wellness can mentor other Sims for a bit of extra cash. With the Wellness Skill, Sims can also work towards being a Zen Guru or Self-Care Specialist.

There’s more coming with the refresh. Massage tables and massage chairs allows your Sims to unwind, but Sims can now receive a manicure or pedicure. With Sims getting their nails done, this means that you can now customize the way your Sims’ nails look, such as the color, design, and style. This is also available to children. This is something that’s never been done before in The Sims, unless you count the claws you could give your Sims in The Sims 3: Supernatural. Sims can also get facial masks, which previously only appeared when having mud baths or soaks.

The Sims 4: Spa Day was met with great reception in its original release, so hopefully fans will appreciate this new update to the popular Game Pack.
