Updates for The Sims 4 aren’t exactly new, but the content that comes with this one is. The Halloween 2023 update brings not only a batch of fixes, but also a brand-new feature to The Sims 4: Discovery Quests.

What Are Discovery Quests?

Discovery Quests in The Sims 4 are simply tasks that earn your Sims rewards when completed. These quests are designed to show you what you can do in The Sims 4, perhaps new ways to play the game or make new discoveries. Completing these will be worth your while, as you’ll be rewarded with Simoleons, potions, and satisfaction points to use in the Reward Store.

You'll get a pop-up message in your game asking whether you want to start a Discovery Quest. You can always do it later.

Examples of Discovery Quests include exploring different ways of making Simoleons in The Sims 4. They will also help you learn how to manage your Sims’ Needs to keep them happy, gain new skills, how you can use your Sim’s in-game phone, completing aspirations, and exploring different worlds.

Discovery Quests will be useful for both new and old players, whether showing you the ropes of unfamiliar gameplay or giving you the chance to try something different. The settings for Discovery Quests can be found in Game Options under the Tutorials & Tips tab, if you want to toggle them on and off, or reset them.

Discovery Quests can be turned on and off or even reset in the Game Options.

The base game for The Sims 4 is getting a new Create-A-Sim item in the form of a onesie, which is appropriately themed for Halloween. The onesies are available for child Sims and older.
