The new Sims 4 July 18th game patch 1.78 brought new hair and swatches to walls, floors, fences, and doors. The most surprising part is the ability to Paint Ceilings in Build Mode; you no longer have to deal with white ceilings and can add color. To paint, you need to open up Build Mode and will find the update where you would previously apply “Floor Patterns”. The Sims team also added more colors to many of the floor patterns, wall patterns, and colors to build and use in your building. You can now enter the new Free Camera in Build Mode if you want the best view of those ceilings.
New Door and Tiles Patterns
With The Sims 4‘s new Horse Ranch Expansion Pack being out, The Sims team added new items to the base game. There are new Native American cultural items in Create-A-Sim with 3 new gender-neutral hair. Your Sim’s hair can be braided in a double braid, a single braid, or lengthened hair. There’s also a new grill recipe for a Native American traditional meal called Three Sisters Chili is made of corn, beans, and squash. Several new East Asian Sims Eye Presets and Brow Presets are also available for your Sims.
New Hair
Along with the new stuff, bug fixes were finally addressed in The Sims 4 base game and in many of the packs. In the game patch, Sims now more consistently wash hands in the sink closest to the toilet. The Sims team finally added Stair Railings to the pre-built homes. In the Get Famous Expansion Pack, unlocked hairstyles in the Acting Career now show all newly added swatches. Dream Home Decorator pack has been updated, so it is now possible to use custom pronouns in Sim Preferences. There are many more fixed bugs, and these are just a few that’s been fixed by the team.
