New Sims 4 Roadmap Revealed for May/June 2022

A new roadmap for The Sims 4 has just been revealed for the May/June 2022 season, announcing that a new Game Pack plus two Kit Packs are on the way. A teaser released over social media hints at what we could expect.

Thanks to the reveal of the next roadmap, we can expect some new content to arrive soon for The Sims 4. Specifically, we can look out for a new Game Pack and two Kits. These are set to be released at some point in May and June.

Since the beginning of this year, The Sims 4 has been in the season of “Simthing to Celebrate”. The previous roadmap was unveiled in January 2022. In that time, a Game Pack, My Wedding Stories, and two Kits, Carnaval Streetwear and Decor to the Max, were released. It seems that season is now over, with the announcement of this new one.

According to the official The Sims social media pages, which have been updated to reflect the announcement, the new season appears to have the title or tagline of “This Season It’s Lights Out”. In a short 14-second video, we see a few clips of gameplay in The Sims 4, which seems to hint at the new upcoming content this season and give us an idea on the theme. Not much is being given away at this point, as it’s only a teaser, but it’s enough to leave us intrigued.

A Sim is seen watching a TV in the teaser, with gameplay clips playing on it. The first shows some Sims out in a garden at dusk, including two children chatting and sitting on garden furniture. The second clip has a glammed-up female Sim flirting to the camera. The third is a spooky scene of a pond or lake at night, with a full moon in the sky and mysterious howls and noises heard. The fourth clip shows what looks like a deserted alleyway with a strange shadow going by. Then there’s static and the TV displays the words “Stay Up in The Sims“, followed by “…with 1 Game Pack and 2 Kits coming May/June 2022”. That’s the final thing we see before the end of the 14-second video.

This teaser may be short, but it raises a lot of questions and speculation as to what’s to come in May and June. It’s certainly a short season if it only spreads across two months, but it’s good news for players who are on the look-out for new content in The Sims 4. The new Game Pack and Kits could be anything, although the teaser provides some hints. If the title/tagline for this roadmap is “Lights Out”, it could mean a night-time theme or maybe even something supernatural on its way to the game.

The roadmap hints at new content around the theme of night-time.

At this point, nothing specific has been revealed. However, we can expect further information as we move through May and June.
