As of June 29 10am PT, Sims Sessions has gone live in The Sims 4, introduced in the latest patch. Sims Sessions is a free in-game music festival exclusive to The Sims 4, where players and Sims can enjoy live performances from Bebe Rexha, Glass Animals, and Joy Oladokun. The event will last until July 7 10pm PT.

So, how does Sims Sessions work, and how do you attend? The Sims Sessions music festival takes place at Magnolia Blossom Park in Willow Creek every Sunday (in-game Sunday, not Sunday in real life). The event starts at noon and ends at midnight. At the festival, not only is there a stage for the performances, but there is a stand where you can buy festival t-shirts, as well as other merchandise. There is also a food stand, a sales table where you can buy or sell items, and tents which you can use to sleep in.

During the festival, lots of Sims will come to watch the show alongside you and your Sim. They will change into festival t-shirts and chat with each other, and when the performances are under way, they will gather in front of the stage and cheer.

Sims can buy special festival t-shirts from the stand.

During the festival, the three artists will take to the stage to perform their songs, which are performed in Simlish (the made-up language the Sims speak). Joy Oladokun sings Breathe Again, Glass Animals (represented by lead singer Dave Bayley) sings Heat Waves, and the headline artist Bebe Rexha sings the acoustic version of Sabotage. All artists play the piano set on the stage, and a spotlight will be on them, complete with effects such as bubbles.

The performers will bow and wave to the audience before and after every performance, and will only hang around long enough to perform their song. When they leave the stage, they will disappear. You cannot speak to them or interact with them like you can with other Sims. You can only watch them perform and cheer them on and even take their photo. Between the performances, there will be a short break. While the three artists perform, you cannot go on the stage or use the piano.

The festival goes on long enough so you can watch all three artists perform on stage. After the last performance, you will be allowed to go up on stage. You can even play the piano if you want.

When the festival ends at midnight, the attending Sims will start to head home. After the festival has ended, when you walk away, all the objects associated with the festival will disappear, such as the stage and tents and stands. You can watch the festival all over again the following Sunday, and can continue to do so every Sunday until the event ends on July 7 10pm PT.

Additionally, Bebe Rexha’s unique outfit is available in Create a Sim for your Sims to wear, and you can listen to all the songs from the festival in the game from the Pop radio station.

The festival is free, with no admittance charge, and you can watch it as many times as you like, so make the most of it while it lasts!
