The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack

Yes! At long last, a brand-new Stuff Pack is coming to The Sims 4. It’s certainly been a while since the last one came out, Paranormal Stuff. This Stuff Pack is called Home Chef Hustle, and as the name suggests, focuses on home cooking. There will be new ways to cook, new ways to make money from cooking, plus new objects and clothes. As ever with Stuff Packs, there will be a brand-new object in the form of a waffle maker.

To support the release of The Sims 4 Home Chef Hustle Stuff, the base game will get a free update that will cover two things. First, locating recipes to cook will be made much easier thanks to a new filter, as the list of meals available to cook have grown bigger and bigger over the years. Second, baking cupcakes will no longer be restricted to the cupcake making machine. They can now be baked in the oven!

It’s not currently known when the release date for Home Chef Hustle Stuff is, but there will be a video revealing more about this new Stuff Pack on September 14th, which you can catch on YouTube.

More Upcoming The Sims 4 Content

Home Chef Hustle Stuff is only the beginning for The Sims 4 this season. Coming up between September and December is plenty of new content, including a ‘neighborly’ Expansion Pack! At this stage, the theme for the Expansion Pack is unknown, so until its official reveal, we can only guess what could be the next big thing after horses.

The Sims Mobile

The Sims Mobile is getting new stuff soon too. This game will be celebrating Halloween, 100 years of Hollywood, plus a new story that features a gnome and a bickering couple. Look out for lots of goodies!

The Sims Freeplay

The Sims Freeplay has some exciting content being added as well. Suggested by Creator Michiiiro, Day of the Dead will be celebrated in Freeplay, complete with music, food, objects, and outfits to get into the spirit of the occasion.

There’s more for The Sims Freeplay! The newest update, Pastel Pastimes, will add new objects and outfits reminiscent of that from The Sims 4 High School Years Expansion and The Sims 4 Pastel Pop Kit.

An Update on Project Rene (and the Future of The Sims 4)

Behind The Sims wouldn’t be complete without another look at Project Rene, the next generation in The Sims series. In the previous episode, we got a sneak peak at what the game is starting to look like in early development stages. In this third edition of Behind The Sims, while we didn’t see any new footage, we did learn some important information about Project Rene.

One is that it is not going to replace The Sims 4, unlike previous editions of The Sims where a new game would come along, officially ending the road for the previous era. That’s not the case with The Sims 4 and Project Rene, as The Sims Team seeks to have these games coexist, meaning that Project Rene will release but The Sims 4‘s journey will continue with new content being added on.

The other news about Project Rene is that the game will be free to download upon release. This mirrors The Sims 4, which was recently made free-to-play (the base game at least). This will make Project Rene more accessible. They also stated that no subscription would be required to play.

Another important fact revealed about Project Rene is that the game will grow after its release. The Sims 4 is now 9 years old, and over this period of time, the game has grown and evolved thanks to numerous updates. This means that while Project Rene may not have everything The Sims 4 has initially, players should not feel disappointed or anxious as more content will be added on overtime. Paid DLC will also be a thing for Project Rene, just like The Sims 4 with all its Expansions, Game Packs, Stuff Packs, and Kits. However, it will be a little different. An example given is that the base game may have basic weather, so you don’t need to get the Seasons pack to experience weather. You will get additional seasonal-themed gameplay and content with the Seasons DLC instead.

Vice President of Creative for The Sims Lyndsay Pearson dropped in to share some updates on Project Rene.

The Sims Official Merch Store

Finally, there is a new official merch store for The Sims that will be available later this year. Currently, you can register on the official website to get notified on any updates and when the first merchandise drops.

That’s everything that was announced in Behind The Sims Episode 3 and coming soon in the Hustle and Bustle season. Keep an eye out for more news on The Sims soon!
