The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack Revealed in First Official Trailer

The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack has just received its first look with a new trailer. Key details include the new world Innisgreen, gameplay where Sims and nature live in harmony (or chaos), Ailments, the Apothecary Skill, and the much-anticipated new occult Sims: fairies! The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack is set to release on July 10th on PC via Steam and EA App, Mac via Origin, PlayStation 4 | 5, Xbox One | Xbox Series X/S, and Epic Games Store for $39.99.

Fairies

Fairies have been a long-awaited feature to be added into The Sims 4, and they will definitely be a part of Enchanted by Nature.

  • Sims can transform into Fairies, going down two different paths: a Harmonious Fairy who helps others, or a Discordant Fairy who brings mischief.
  • Fairies have various abilities such as nurturing plants, manipulating objects, changing moods of other Sims, and more.
  • Fairies can suffer from Emotional Starvation, as they feed off emotions from other Sims and potions rather than food.
  • Fairies have unique customization options such as wings, skin tones, ears, teeth, head accessories, glowing tattoos, and more.
  • Sims who aren’t fairies can use Fairy Dust to enchant plants, bring gnomes to life, and more.

Innisgreen

Innisgreen is the new world that comes with The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature. It is made up of three neighborhoods, each of these having a unique way of connecting your Sims to nature.

  • Coast of Adhmor, a peaceful seaside town with simple everyday pleasures.
  • Sprucederry Grove, a mixture of friendly shops, cozy homes, and draping ivy where civilization and nature merge.
  • Everdew, a magical forest.

Innisgreen is also home to Mother Nature, who is responsible for setting your Sim on a journey to transforming into a Fairy.

A Balanced Life

A new feature with Enchanted by Nature is all about learning to be emotionally balanced, particularly in Innisgreen.

  • Failure to be balanced can result in unwanted side effects that affect day-to-day life, such as a slowed rate in gaining new skills or struggling to manage needs.
  • Sims who live very imbalanced will fall foul of Ailments.
  • With the Greenie Meanie Ailment, for example, Sims will gain the Gardening Skill faster, but will also be more prone to getting Angry.
  • Other Ailments include Emotional Void, Simoleon Fever, and Sonic Sinuses.

Sims with Ailments won’t have to suffer long, thanks to a new object and skill.

  • Ailments can be treated and cured with the new Apothecary Table.
  • Unique ingredients such as Lightning Root and Aura Blossom can be found from foraging and gardening.
  • Sims can learn and follow detailed recipes to create new treatments.
  • The new Apothecary Skill can be developed further with the Elixir Enthusiast Aspiration.
  • Naturopath is a new profession where Sims can work with others to cure their Ailments.

Your Sims may need luck on their side if they want to work on their balance in Innisgreen.

  • Sims living in Innisgreen can have good, ordinary, or bad luck.
  • Luck can affect a Sim’s career, love life, cooking, foraging, and other parts of their life.
  • Luck can be influenced with a charm that can be bought, found or made at an Apothecary Table.
  • There are two different luck charms: good and bad.

The Apothecary Skill is a big feature of Enchanted by Nature, and could be a new career for some Sims.

Living With Nature

Sims can embrace living alongside nature with Enchanted by Nature with some new gameplay options and objects.

  • Sims can develop the new Natural Living Skill by living with nature.
  • The new Nature Nomad Aspiration is a great way to get Sims involved with this new way of life.
  • Sims can eat, bathe, sleep, and live off the land, sacrificing modern comforts for a simpler life.
  • Sims can become self-reliant with activities such as eating freshly-caught fish, sleeping on the ground, and summoning a privy bush.

If Sims aren’t quite ready to give up everything in modern life but still want to embrace natural living, there are options for that too.

  • Living houseplants are a new feature with Enchanted by Nature.
  • Unlike decorative plants already existing in The Sims 4, houseplants need watering, care, and attention.

Like past worlds released for The Sims 4, Innisgreen also features Lots built by members of The Sims community, including TheCrackedKyber, The Sims Scrolls, Ninahschmidt, and Sandra Pyka.

Lots in Innisgreen not only have elements of nature and fantasy, but are also inspired by Irish and Celtic architecture and aesthetics.
