The Sims 4‘s Cause a Sensation season is underway, and the first content is being released this week, that being the community voted Kits, Castle Estate and Goth Galore. One will allow you to construct spectacular castles, while the other will let you give your Sims that perfect gothic makeover. The Sims 4 Castle Estate Kit and The Sims 4 Goth Galore Kit will release together on January 18th. They will be available on PC via EA App and Steam, Mac via Origin, PlayStation 4 | 5, Xbox One | Xbox Series X / S, and Epic Games Store. As with all The Sims 4 Kits, they will be priced at $4.99 each.
Castle Estate Kit
As the name of this Kit suggests, Castle Estate allows you to build something that until now hasn’t been possible in The Sims 4 (at least without custom content): castles! With this Kit, you can build some truly amazing Gothic-style castles, complete with stained-glass windows, grand entrance doors, gargoyles, beautiful stonework, and even an archway with a raised gate to give it a really authentic feel. The Castle Estate Kit will be perfect for anyone wishing to build a grand castle in The Sims 4. It should be noted that this Kit focuses on exterior castle design rather than interior, so there won’t be a new catalog of medieval-themed furniture that comes with Castle Estate.
Goth Galore Kit
The second Kit is all about fashion, this time bringing the goth look to your Sims. It is possible to create a gothic look in The Sims 4, but Goth Galore is just what you need if you want that spot-on goth Sim. With Goth Galore, you’ll receive a generous addition of items in Create-A-Sim, with lots of gothic-themed tops, bottoms, outfits, and accessories mainly consisting of black.
With the combination of a castle theme and a goth theme, The Sims 4 Castle Estate Kit and The Sims 4 Goth Galore Kit is set to be an interesting and complementary match when they release January 18th.
What Were the Other Two Options?
You might be wondering what the other options were in the community vote for The Sims 4 Kits. If the community hadn’t gone for goth fashion and constructing castles, we would have instead ended up with something completely different. For the fashion Kit, we would have had a rainbow core style theme, with bright rainbow colored and vibrant patterned clothing items. For the build Kit, we would have had a high tech futuristic theme, not too dissimilar to the architectural style seen in The Sims 3 Into the Future Expansion Pack.
