It has just been officially confirmed that a new Expansion Pack is on the way to The Sims 4, and will be revealed in traditional The Sims 4 style in the form of a reveal trailer in a few days’ time on September 4th. The twentieth Expansion Pack for The Sims 4 is titled Adventure Awaits, and the preview clips as shown in the video on social media already gives us a good idea of what this Expansion Pack could be about.
What Do We Know So Far About The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits?
The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack looks set to be themed around vacations, hobbies, and recreational activities. The tagline for Adventure Awaits is “Break away from the everyday“, which seems to support this.
From the social media clips available, what we know so far for sure is that new features include a brand-new world with a lake and mountains, as well as new activities such as archery (probably coming as a new skill) and exercise bikes, complete with spin classes. You can also spot Sims kayaking on the water if you look closely enough in one clip.
Adventure Awaits was previously leaked and revealed in several articles courtesy of Sims Community, along with leaks regarding the new Fall 2025 roadmap. Now though, it’s official, and it’s happening very soon.
Comparisons to Previous Games
This Expansion seems to be reminiscent of previous games such as The Sims 2 Bon Voyage and The Sims 2 FreeTime. It also brings to mind previous DLC for The Sims 4, notably vacation-based gameplay such as Jungle Adventure and Snowy Escape, but with a touch of family-based gameplay such as Growing Together.
Platforms and Price
We’ll know plenty more about The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack when the first reveal trailer is released on September 4th at 8am PST. We don’t yet know for definite the release date of Adventure Awaits, but it can be expected to be available on the usual platforms, including PC via Steam and EA App, Mac via Origin, PlayStation 4 | 5, Xbox One | Xbox Series X/S, and Epic Games Store for $39.99.
