The first full-length trailer for The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack has just dropped, showing us everything we can expect from this new pack. At the end of the trailer, an official release date was also given: October 2nd.
You can now pre-order The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack on PC via Steam and EA App, Mac via Origin, PlayStation 4 | 5, Xbox One | Xbox Series X/S, and Epic Games Store, priced at $39.99.
Also, if you buy the Expansion by November 13th, you’ll get the Warm & Cozy Digital Content, which includes 3 bonus items: the Toasty Tower Lamp, Toast-Tea Kettle, and Toasty Tootsies Socks.
What’s New in The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion?
The reveal trailer had a lot to show, so let’s take a closer look at everything we learned from the first look trailer for The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack.
New World: Gibbi Point
Gibbi Point is the new world coming packaged with The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits, a place for play, discovery, and adventure for Sims of all ages. It is home to wildlife such as jellyfish, glow worms, and plumbirds, as well as natural wonders such as the world’s largest geyser, crystal caves, and a bioluminescent bay. Getaways are at the heart of Gibbi Point, including kid’s camps, fitness retreats, and romantic contests.
Look out for activities such as boardwalk festivals, playing retro games consoles, catching butterflies, and quests from someone claiming to be the last Plumbird at Gibbi Point.
Gibbi Point is full of interesting landmarks, such as an erupting geyser.
Neighborhoods
Gibbi Point is made up of 3 neighborhoods: Wanderwood Wilds, Crystal Valley, and Jellyfish Junction. Each neighborhood is distinctive from one another and offers something different:
- Wanderwood Wilds – a leafy haven with forest trails and erupting geysers. Fish in mountain streams and tell campfire stories at Camp Gibbi Gibbi.
- Crystal Valley – home to sparkling rock formations, as well as a cozy romantic retreat at Love Highland.
- Jellyfish Junction – a waterfront wonderland with a lagoon and jellyfish, along with the chance to recharge body and mind at Revive & Thrive.
Several Lots and Getaway Systems in Gibbi Point have been made by creators including Jeyjeybink, daniellebuilds, Gryphi, KiwiSimsKate, and Axiisims. More of their Lots will also be available via The Sims 4 Gallery from October 2nd when Adventure Awaits releases.

New Gameplay for the Young and Old
The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits brings plenty of new gameplay for young Sims. Child Sims can now shape their personality and skills with Formative Moments, new Traits, and Childhood Sentiments that can influence their transition into adulthood.
New activities for kids include papercrafts, archery, diving, and Entomology. You can also construct your own playground jungle gyms to create a thriving play space for children. They can also enjoy classic games of hide-and-seek and rock, paper, scissors, as well as take on challenges to build their confidence and connections.
A new Aspiration just for kids is included with Adventure Awaits: Cool Kid on the Block.
Imaginary Friends make their return since The Sims 3 Generations Expansion Pack. A selection of four different dolls with different personalities are available, including goofball, creative, competitive, and evil.

Older Sims shouldn’t have to miss out on all the fun. They can indulge in new activities such as kayaking, watersliding, and working out with weights and exercise bikes. Also, don’t forget to try out the new blender! A new Trait is available too: Competitive.
A new career is also available for outdoorsy, adventurous Sims: Park Worker, which offers two branches: Camp Counselor and Park Ranger.

Build Your Own Getaways
Although Gibbi Point offers three pre-built Getaways, you have the option to build and customize your own! With the new Custom Venues and Getaway System, you can put together unique experiences for visiting Sims.
Getaways can last a day or so and vary from being restful to challenging, complete with scheduling activities. You can also apply your own rules, such as Elimination Rules for dating contests. You can also create itineraries for your Sims so they can plan out their Getaways.
Getaways created by you and other players can be shared via The Sims 4 Gallery.
