Prepare to Cause a Sensation in The Sims 4’s New Season

2024 for The Sims 4 kicks off with the first season of the year: Cause a Sensation. This season, lasting from January up to April, will bring four Kits, a new Stuff Pack, and a SDX (Special Delivery Express).

Prepare to Cause a Sensation in The Sims 4's New Season

Players of The Sims 4 have been kept busy for the past month since the release of the For Rent Expansion Pack. Now it is time to begin a new season with the start of a new year, and 2024’s first season for The Sims 4 has been revealed: Cause a Sensation. The theme for this season is mixed with celebrations and creating a sensation through storytelling and building. The celebrations theme comes as part of the anniversary for The Sims, as in February, it will be 24 years since the first game came out. 2024 also marks the 10-year anniversary of the original release of The Sims 4.

The Cause a Sensation season begins now in January, and will last up until April, when the next season will roll in. The previous season included the release of The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack. For this season, there are no new Expansion Packs. However, there is plenty to look forward to, lined up as ever in a season roadmap.

A Look at The Sims 4’s Roadmap for January – April 2024

Here is a quick summary of what to expect in The Sims 4’s Cause a Sensation season: four Kits, a Stuff Pack, and a SDX (Special Delivery Express) drop. We’ll go into more detail about each new content coming this season.

New Kits

The first you may already know if you’ve been following The Sims 4 news for the past year. A while ago, there was a survey concerning two new Kits: a Build Kit and a Fashion Kit. People had to vote for a medieval castle theme or a futuristic tech theme for the Build Kit, and a gothic style or rainbow style theme for the Fashion Kit. Later, the results were revealed, and the winners were a Medieval Castle Build Kit and a Gothic Style Fashion Kit. It was announced that these Kits would be released, possibly in pairs (as with all The Sims 4 Kits), sometime in Early 2024. This season is Early 2024, so it’s very likely that Medieval Castle and Gothic Style will be coming to The Sims 4 very soon.

However, these aren’t the only Kits on the horizon. Two other Kits have been announced in the roadmap as well. One is a “Celebratory Build Kit.” We’re not sure as of yet what this could be, but seeing as The Sims‘ anniversary is in February, this particular Kit will probably release sometime in this month. There is also a co-created Style Kit to look forward to. Again, there’s not a lot to go on, but hopefully all will be revealed soon.

The Gothic Style Kit could be similar to the goth outfits from The Sims 2 Teen Style Stuff.

New Stuff Pack

There’s more to the Cause a Sensation season than just Kits. A new Stuff Pack is on the way! Last season, The Sims 4 dropped the Home Chef Hustle Stuff Pack, a homecooking-themed pack, the first Stuff Pack in a very long time. The Stuff Packs are still rolling in, and next is this new one. With the animated roadmap featuring a jewelry box and the Stuff Pack being “Sparkling”, it looks like this is going to a jewel-themed, including new objects and fashion. Then again, it may not be, as The Sims 4 can throw some surprises out.

Special Delivery Express

Finally, there’s the SDX drop. SDX is short for Special Delivery Express. This was a feature introduced to The Sims 4 a few years ago, and is essentially free updates to the game that focuses on adding in a few new free items. There has been a few of these over the years, adding things such as new Create-A-Sim content, as well as new objects to buy for your Sims. At the moment, it’s not clear what this SDX drop is, but it’s noted to be “Beautiful”, and with the season’s theme in mind, it could link to new fashion items.

That sums up everything we know so far about The Sims 4‘s new 2024 season, Cause a Sensation. We’ll keep you posted on the latest news about The Sims 4 this season, including more details on the upcoming content.
