Ranking All the Worlds in The Sims 4 From Worst to Best

A ranking all the worlds in The Sims 4 from worst to best as of March 2026, including all destination worlds. The worlds will be ranked based on how attractive they are, their value for visiting and residing in, as well as personal and general overall feelings towards each one.

Ranking All the Worlds in The Sims 4 From Worst to Best

Worlds play a huge role in The Sims 4. It’s where Sims carry out their daily lives, whether they’re just visiting for the day, vacationing there, or a place they call home. With so many worlds to choose from, thanks to the numerous Expansions and Game Packs, it can be hard to choose where to send your Sims.

I’ve decided to rank the worlds from worst to best in The Sims 4, including all vacation destinations, and see which one comes out on top. There are 31 worlds altogether in The Sims 4, which is quite remarkable. This also made ranking them extremely difficult!

I have previously done a ranking of The Sims 4 worlds, but I decided to create a new one from scratch due to several new worlds being added since then. Also, my opinions and feelings towards each of these worlds has shifted since the last ranking a few years ago. This ranking will also be more generalized, analysing each world as a whole, not just focusing on value based on residential offerings.

31. Batuu

  • From: The Sims 4 Star Wars Journey to Batuu Game Pack

I don’t own every DLC for The Sims 4, including some of the Game Packs. One of these is The Sims 4 Star Wars Journey to Batuu. When I first saw the announcement trailer for this Game Pack, I wasn’t interested, so I didn’t bother getting it. To be honest, I don’t feel as if I’m missing much.

I don’t hate Star Wars, but I wouldn’t say I was a fan. I also think the idea of having a collaboration between The Sims 4 and Star Wars is an interesting choice (in a good way), but it’s not one that really captures my imagination. This means I’ve never got to visit Batuu in The Sims 4. Whether I ever will or not, at this point I don’t know.

For now, it has to go at the bottom of my list simply because I’ve never visited it and I’m not really that interested either. Never say never, though.

30. Magnolia Promenade

  • From: The Sims 4 Get to Work Expansion Pack

I love The Sims 4 Get to Work, especially the Doctor career, as well as the Detective (I still haven’t tried out the Scientist career). However, I hardly ever visit Magnolia Promenade, the world that shipped with this Expansion.

To me, it just feels a bit pointless. There’s nothing in Magnolia Promenade to compel me to visit. I don’t visit the businesses, or even own any of them. There are hardly any unique amenities worth checking out.

The only time I ever use Magnolia Promenade is to place down a pre-built restaurant from the Dine Out Game Pack, and I haven’t even done that for a very long time. That’s why Magnolia Promenade sits almost at the bottom of my ranking.

29. Newcrest

  • From: The Sims 4 Base Game

Newcrest was the third world added to The Sims 4. It didn’t come with any DLC, just a free update for the base game. Newcrest is a unique world in that all its lots are completely blank. Newcrest is a blank canvas, ready for you to build on or place lots. You can make it whatever you want, put whatever you like there; homes, businesses, whatever. For example, I tend to put my restaurants and spas (Spa Day Game Pack) in this world.

For this purpose, Newcrest isn’t a bad world. You certainly can’t turn down extra space in The Sims 4, especially when blank lots are lacking sometimes. The problem is because Newcrest starts off blank in every new game, you have to build it all up from scratch every single time. Unless you want to build your own neighborhood or fill the empty lots, you might be less inclined to come here and instead look to a more established world in The Sims 4.

Don’t think that because I put Newcrest so low on this list that it’s a bad world. It’s great for the purpose it serves (extra space and building your own neighborhood), but I personally don’t use it that much, at least compared to other worlds, so it sits here on the list.

28. Forgotten Hollow

  • From: The Sims 4 Vampires Game Pack

I like that The Sims 4 decided to dedicate an entire Game Pack to Vampires, especially as they tend to be popular among players. I have played as a vampire once or twice, and it was an interesting experience.

Forgotten Hollow makes an ideal home for Vampires, which its darkness and gloominess, perfect for Vampires wanting to avoid the deadly sunlight. It also has a few beautifully-designed Gothic houses, as well as some Vampire neighbors. However, unless you’re playing as a Vampire in The Sims 4, Forgotten Hollow might not be a world you frequent very much. There’s also not that much going on in the way of community lots or unique features.

It does have its own unique identity, but as someone who doesn’t often play as Vampires, Forgotten Hollow has to be this low on my list.

27. Glimmerbrook

  • From: The Sims 4 Realm of Magic Game Pack

I don’t own The Sims 4 Realm of Magic, so I’ve never been to Glimmerbrook. Like Batuu, I’m not really that worried either. I’m not particularly interested in being a Spellcaster and performing magic and whatnot (although I like the idea of having a Familiar).

Although Glimmerbrook does look quite interesting, it’s not enough to make me want to grab the Game Pack, even if there is a sale on. Maybe one day, but right now, I’m good.

26. StrangerVille

  • From: The Sims 4 StrangerVille Game Pack

This is the last world on this list that I don’t own and have never played. However, of the two, StrangerVille, both the world and the Game Pack, is the one I’m most tempted to get. Hopefully one day I will, but for now, this is where it goes on my ranking.

What compels me to StrangerVille is that it looks a cool and interesting place. It’s set in a red desert, has some nicely-designed lots, and the trailer park is quite unique. Also, I’d love to try out the story of StrangerVille. I love story-based and goal-oriented gameplay, so it ticks the boxes for me.

25. Moonwood Mill

  • From: The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack

Werewolves is another Game Pack that is dedicated to a new Occult Sim. I rank this over Vampires is for a few reasons. One is that I had more fun playing a Werewolf than a Vampire. The second reason is that I like Moonwood Mill better.

It’s not the biggest world in The Sims 4 by any stretch, but it is fascinating. It’s well-designed as well. Although it only features two community lots, they are both very good. The bar is a converted bus, and also houses a Werewolves-only bunker for them to hang out in. The library also feels multi-purpose compared to other libraries in The Sims 4, and has a unique design.

Moonwood Mill is perfect for Werewolves. However, the reason this world isn’t higher on my list is because I don’t play Werewolves often. In fact, the last time was my first time, when I got the pack. If you’re not a Werewolf, you might find it difficult to have a reason to visit Moonwood Mill, or live there. Nevertheless, it’s great for what it is.

24. Del Sol Valley

  • From: The Sims 4 Get Famous Expansion Pack

Del Sol Valley is the place to be if your Sim is looking to be a Celebrity, or already is one. Modeled after Hollywood, it has community lots exclusive to high-ranking Celebrities, as well as exorbitant mansions.

Although it does host some more modest residential lots, you might find it hard to visit or live in Del Sol Valley if you’re not a Celebrity. You might feel a tad out of place. Therefore, unless you’re an established Celebrity, you might not feel as compelled to seek out this place.

23. Ravenwood

  • From: The Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack

When a new world for The Sims 4 Life & Death was announced, I was worried it would be a bit like Forgotten Hollow: dark and gloomy, not a lot to do. When I got to play in Ravenwood, I was quickly proven wrong. Ravenwood does feature a gloomier neighborhood, but it is far more interesting than Forgotten Hollow, and the other two neighborhoods are much brighter while still retaining Ravenwood’s charm.

I had fun exploring Ravenwood, as it has a lot of secrets to discover, as well as its own festivals. The lots are pretty decent too.

I only have Ravenwood this far down on my list simply because I don’t go there very much, but it is a good world nonetheless.

22. Nordhaven

  • From: The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack

From 2025, Businesses & Hobbies was probably my least favorite of the 3 Expansions that was released that year. I definitely think they did the new Small Business system justice, and the other new gameplay were nice additions. However, Nordhaven did feel oddly empty and lifeless for me.

I do have a fascination for Scandinavian towns. I think they’re very charming, and Nordhaven is no different, but despite the Small Businesses as well as the Hobby Meetups, it doesn’t feel like there’s much to do in Nordhaven.

21. Chestnut Ridge

  • From: The Sims 4 Horse Ranch Expansion Pack

Horse Ranch is all about horses, and boy do they do a good job of it. I was seriously impressed when The Sims 4 Horse Ranch came out, mainly with the new horse gameplay. Naturally, a new world had to be built to accommodate them: Chestnut Ridge.

Environmentally, it’s very beautiful, as well as vast, perfect for galloping around on a horse. The whole rustic vibe of the place is just marvelous. However, I can’t help but feel that Chestnut Ridge is only a place you go to if you own a horse. Otherwise I don’t feel too tempted to head over there.

20. Ondarion

  • From: The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack

Royalty & Legacy is the newest Expansion for The Sims 4, which makes its world, Ondarion, the newest world in The Sims 4. As far as worlds go, Ondarion is pretty good. The three neighborhoods are reminiscent of Ravenwood, being very distinct from one another and having their own identity, despite being part of the same world.

Ondarion is fabulously exotic and exciting and well worth taking a trip for. It’s one of those places you feel eager to explore and learn more about. Despite it being the home of several Dynasties enrolled in the Noble Career and being tailor-made for the Royalty & Legacy gameplay, you don’t feel shoehorned into engaging into all that even if you live there.

19. Innisgreen

  • From: The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack

Innisgreen is another newer world in The Sims 4, home to the latest Occult: Fairies! The Sims 4 seems to hit the nail on the head with Occults, as Fairies are fun and fabulous to play as. Innisgreen is the natural hub for Fairies, and it is simply incredible. The design of the lots and the look and feel of the world as a whole is just amazing. Plus, one of the lots allows you to live in a giant tree!

I think Innisgreen is wonderful. The reason I don’t have it too high on this list is simply because I haven’t played as a Fairy since I got the pack, or returned to Innisgreen as a result, but I would certainly love to one day soon.

18. Gibbi Point

  • From: The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack

Usually a central selling point for a pack in The Sims 4 is its world. If the world is great, it can seriously boost how you feel towards a pack, even if you don’t care much for the gameplay. If it’s bad, it can dampen your feelings. Fortunately, Gibbi Point is a highlight of Adventure Awaits

Although I don’t care much for the Getaways (I find them needlessly rigorous), I do like several of the features. The Plumbird quests, the new Papercrafting activity, the new outdoorsy/fitness themed clothing, and the new world, Gibbi Point.

Gibbi Point is wide-open and intriguing, full of delights such as an active geyser and a forest containing an old watchtower, as well as butterflies and moths to collect. It’s a great place for outdoorsy Sims to embrace nature. It’s one of those worlds that puts a smile on your face just thinking about it.

I haven’t played in Gibbi Point much since I got Adventure Awaits, but I would love to return there soon.

17. Ciudad Enamorada

  • From: The Sims 4 Lovestruck Expansion Pack

The Lovestruck Expansion was a pleasant surprise for me, not being as bad as I feared (although the updated Romance system is a total pain to deal with). One thing that did initially intrigue me about Lovestruck was its world, Ciudad Enamorada, Spanish for City in Love. Inspired by cities in Mexico, Ciudad Enamorada lovingly recaptures the look and feel of these real-world places with its unique architecture, design, and culture.

Ciudad Enamorada really does feel unique in its own right. It’s very exciting and colorful, a pleasure to visit. I also had fun collecting all the axolotls!

16. Tomarang

  • From: The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack

Tomarang is another colorful, exotic location in The Sims 4, with a heavy Thailand influence. I love visiting worlds in The Sims 4 that are exotic like this. It’s been beautifully done with its lively market and lush parks and vibrant buildings and intriguing jungles. I also enjoyed visiting the Tiger Sanctuary. I’m not so bothered about the whole Residential Rental lots, even though I didn’t have a problem with them.

15. Evergreen Harbor

  • From: The Sims 4 Eco Lifestyle Expansion Pack

I have to be honest, Eco Lifestyle is probably my least favorite Expansion Pack of The Sims 4. It’s not bad, and I’m certainly not anti-eco-friendly, but gameplay-wise, it’s the one I use the least. However, one thing that Eco Lifestyle does have that I like is its world, Evergreen Harbor. It has that odd mix of being suburban and natural. It’s quite an attractive place (at least if your environmental score is good).

The one thing I really love about Evergreen Harbor is the community projects, where you can change the way the individual neighborhoods look. Watching them transform to make them even more attractive is quite something to see. I also really like the use of apartments in this world, being affordable and nicely-designed.

14. Granite Falls

  • From: The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat Game Pack

Granite Falls isn’t a world you can live in, but instead a world you visit on vacation, which is fine. It was actually the first destination world created for The Sims 4, allowing Sims to embrace the outdoors with camping, hiking, foraging, and fishing. Granite Falls has this special serenity that’s just what you need from a vacation world.

I actually appreciate the fact that you can only go to Granite Falls on vacation, as it makes it feel more special every time you visit, wanting to make the most of your trips there.

13. Tartosa

  • From: The Sims 4 My Wedding Stories Game Pack

Tartosa is the Italian-inspired world that shipped with My Wedding Stories. Fittingly, it’s very romantic. It’s also one of the most beautiful worlds in The Sims 4. It’s just so fantastically stunning that it takes your breath away. You feel like you want any excuse to head over there, whether it’s to try some cake out at the stall, relax at the beach, or even get married.

The great thing also is that Tartosa is one of those worlds in The Sims 4 where you don’t need to actively engage in the pack’s gameplay to live there or even visit. Just an hour’s trip alone is enough to help you unwind and dose you in a sense of tranquility.

12. Copperdale

  • From: The Sims 4 High School Years Expansion Pack

Copperdale is home to the High School lot, exclusive to the High School Years Expansion. Copperdale is a great setting for a high school. It’s not a bad place to live, and it is quite attractive, but personally I prefer visiting there now and again. There are a few key highlights aside from the school, such as the boardwalk amusement park which has plenty to do, as well as the trendy ThriftTea store.

11. Mt. Komorebi

  • From: The Sims 4 Snowy Escape Expansion Pack

Mt. Komorebi works well as both a visiting place and a place to live. It is one of the most attractive worlds in The Sims 4 with its tranquility and unique setting. After a trip to Mt. Komorebi, you definitely feel a sense of calmness. Mt. Komorebi has a lot going for it, such as the hot springs, festivals, hiking trails, and of course the snowy mountain itself.

10. Henford-on-Bagley

  • From: The Sims 4 Cottage Living Expansion Pack

I really like The Sims 4 Cottage Living, and I also really like Henford-on-Bagley. The whole pack has a very relaxed, calming vibe about it, and so does the world. It’s very open and extremely pretty and tranquil, with wild animals to interact with and unique plants to forage for. I also enjoy doing the errands for various residents. Henford is just a really lovely place all round.

My favorite place to visit now and again is the pub, aka the bar, where you can grab a plate of sausages and mash or other traditional British countryside pub food. Mm!

9. Selvadorada

  • From: The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure Game Pack

Of the destination worlds in The Sims 4, Selvadorada is the highest ranking on my list. I love visiting this place. It’s wonderfully cultured and fun to explore. I cannot wait to head into the jungle and start digging for treasure, but the sights alone are a treasure to behold.

There’s a special thrill when I reach the temple. Even though it isn’t easy and it’s tough going for you and your Sim, it’s well worth doing.

When I’m taking a break from temple and jungle exploration, I’m chilling out in the town, hitting the bar and enjoying the music and company, sampling the local cuisine, purchasing some souvenirs and exploration gear, or just chilling out and taking in the sights. Selvadorada sure makes a fantastic vacation destination in The Sims 4.

8. San Sequoia

  • From: The Sims 4 Growing Together Expansion Pack

San Sequoia is another world in The Sims 4 noted for its attractiveness, not just visually, but also in terms of gameplay. It’s a lovely suburban setting that has a true feel of homeliness to it. My favorite place is easily the Celebration Center, aka the Recreation Center. You could spend all day at this place, with plenty of different activities for all the family. The water park is also worth checking out.

7. Oasis Springs

  • From: The Sims 4 Base Game

The base game of The Sims 4 offers three worlds. Oasis Springs is one of them, and also an OG for The Sims 4. Willow Creek and Oasis Springs are purposefully different environmentally, with Oasis Springs being distinctly more arid and desert-like. Oasis Springs works brilliantly as a vibrant world to live in, thanks to its generous offering of homes to move into, big and small, as well as empty lots waiting to be built on.

I do sometimes feel that Oasis Springs gets overlooked in favor of Willow Creek, and while admittedly I have ranked the latter higher on my list, Oasis Springs is definitely not a bad world either.

6. Sulani

  • From: The Sims 4 Island Living Expansion Pack

I don’t often have Sims who live in the beautiful tropics of Sulani, but I do enjoy paying it a visit every so often. The beaches, the wonderful weather, the vast open oceans, the amazing scenery. It’s just stunning.

Even if you’re not vacationing here, you certainly feel as if you’ve been on one after dropping by for a while. It just has that wonderfully relaxed feel to it, like all the cares in the world don’t exist. I also enjoy partaking in the Conservationist Career while in Sulani, watching the place slowly transform into a verdant paradise.

5. Britechester

  • From: The Sims 4 Discover University Expansion Pack

I rank Britechester in the top 5 of my world ranking of The Sims 4 partially because I like this Expansion. I enjoy the college experience in The Sims 4, and Britechester is certainly the place to soak up that energy. You have the lively dormitories, the array of buildings that make up the classrooms, the stands selling beverages for a quick snack on the go, the lawns you can sit on to do classwork or just chill out… on and on.

Even though university can be full-on, there’s no better place than Britechester to feel focused but also at ease. It’s like the place has your back. It comes with some really useful places to visit too, such as the rowdy bar, the quiet library, and the studious student commons. It feels like Britechester has everything you need to not only succeed in your studies, but just in life generally.

4. Willow Creek

  • From: The Sims 4 Base Game

Willow Creek is the highest ranking OG world on this list. It just seems to have the full package when it comes to a good world in The Sims 4. It’s got a good selection of residential lots, cool and interesting places to hang out, and is generally very attractive. Willow Creek has a wonderfully homely vibe to it, like being welcomed in with a hug every time you set foot in it.

3. Brindleton Bay

  • From: The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs Expansion Pack

Weirdly, I don’t have pets very often in The Sims 4, and admittedly I haven’t really played in Brindleton Bay much recently. However, it doesn’t stop this world from making it into my top 3. There’s just something very cozy about Brindleton Bay, and I love anything that invokes a cozy feel. I love the New England aesthetics, the rustic-yet-charming docks, the trees that are autumnal all year round. It’s just a lovely place to be in.

2. San Myshuno

  • From: The Sims 4 City Living Expansion Pack

I love San Myshuno, simply put. It’s a fantastic, exciting, vibrant, and lively place to be, whether you’re a visitor or a resident. I’m not always a massive fan of apartment living, mainly because I usually have the worst luck with noisy neighbors, but even this can’t stop me from loving the city.

Every neighborhood is wonderfully designed and attractive, offering something different. The massive park is well worth a visit, offering some tranquility and vast space after the hustle-and-bustle of the city.

The best part for me is the festivals, when the city really comes alive, with Sims coming to enjoy the activities and mingle. All the festivals are fantastic, but my favorites are GeekCon, the Spice Festival, and Romance Festival. It’s hard to resist these events when they’re announced, even if I don’t currently live in San Myshuno.

1. Windenburg

  • From: The Sims 4 Get Together Expansion Pack

We’ve made it to my number one world in The Sims 4! Even though Get Together isn’t my favorite Expansion Pack, and I don’t tend to engage in the Clubs system very much, or any of its gameplay, there is one thing about this pack that makes it absolutely worth owning for me: its world, Windenburg. It is simply superb.

I completely adore Windenburg. It’s not so much the residential lots, as the cheaper ones are Tudor design and the more expensive are more modern. However, it’s the neighborhoods and community lots that really make this world outstanding and what draws me back to visit over and over again.

Windenburg has plenty to attract you. The inviting cafes, the energy-focused gym and pool, the lively nightclubs, the calming library, the rowdy bar. Plus, you have the special lots such as The Bluffs and Ancient Ruins. My personal favorite has to be the Von Haunt Estate, which is simply beautiful and has plenty to do there for a wonderful day out.

On the whole, Windenburg is simply a gorgeous place. It’s mostly a very old town, but I love how they integrate the more modern parts as well. I especially enjoy visiting the Olde Platz neighborhood, with its various fountains and amazing views.
