The Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion Pack comes with two brand-new careers. One is the Reaper career, which has your Sims working as a “Grimtern” for the Grim Reaper. The other is the Undertaker career, which is a “traditional” career in The Sims 4. For this guide, we will look at the Undertaker career. It may not be an active career like the Reaper career, but don’t underestimate it. Working as an Undertaker can be rewarding, and in The Sims 4, you have the choice of becoming either a Mortician or a Funeral Director. If you’re having trouble in this particular career or you can’t decide which branch to take, this guide will help you out there.
We’ve got more guides specifically for The Sims 4 Life & Death Expansion, such as these:
What You Need for the Undertaker Career
You might look at the Undertaker career and think that it’s not as involved as the Reaper career. You may have a point there. Yes, it’s not an active career. There’s not even an option to work from home. However, don’t be mistaken in thinking that the Undertaker career is an easy option for a death-related career and your Sim can just cruise through by getting a few skill levels up. The Undertaker career is quite demanding if you want your Sims to get promoted. Your Sim will need to learn various different skills to reach the top, and then there are the branches themselves. Mortician or Funeral Director? While the pay is roughly the same, each branch focuses on different skills and activities.
Before you embark on the Undertaker career, you should know what you’ll need if you want to be successful.
However, regardless of whichever branch your Sim may take, this is what you should have ready for your Sims if you want them to succeed in the Undertaker career:
- A Computer: There are a few reasons why your Sim should have easy access to a computer while in the Undertaker career. They’ll be working on their Thanatology skill, and one good way to build it is by reading theories online. Your Sim may also be required to write obituaries, a task that also requires a computer. Morticians may need to use a computer to gain a certification, which gives you another good reason to have one for your Sim. Simply put, your Sim will be using a computer quite often during their time in the Undertaker career.
- Gym Equipment or TV: In the early levels of the Undertaker career, as well as the Mortician branch, your Sim will be asked to work out for their daily task, or even get to a certain Fitness level to get promoted. That’s why it’s a good idea for your Sim to invest in some work out equipment, even if it’s just a treadmill. Alternatively, your Sim can work out via a TV.
- Somewhere to Garden: Planting and gardening is commonplace in the early stages of the Undertaker career and for the duration of the Funeral Director branch. Your Sim might need to harness their Gardening skills, or simply be asked to plant something new as a daily task. It’s therefore ideal to have a garden going, even if it’s just a small patch.
- A Mirror and Other Sims to Interact With: Charisma is another skill that crops up in the Undertaker career. It is advised that your Sim gets to know other Sims, as well as practicing their Charisma in front of a mirror. Also, you’ll sometimes need to have a Deep Conversation with another Sim for a daily task.
- An Easel: If you join the Mortician branch, one skill your Sim will need to work on is the Painting skill. They’ll be spending quite a bit of time Painting to get it to the midway point, so get yourself an easel and get painting.
- A Bookcase: Morticians may be asked to read books for their daily task, so have a bookcase with books ready. Sims can also read about historical deaths from bookcases to build their Thanatology skill. You can also purchase and store skill books if you prefer to gain skills that way.
- A Chess Table, Telescope, or Microscope: Basically, any object that builds the Logic skill. This applies to Sims in the Mortician branch.
There’s just one final thing that you should be made aware of. The Undertaker career may not be ideal for Elder Sims. This is simply because they easily get tired from doing anything too strenuous, such as exercise, and in the early levels and Mortician branch, working out is required for getting promoted. It’s hard work for Elder Sims to work out, at least for long periods. However, if you’re determined to try and make it work, you can have Elder Sims work out for a little while, take a little break, and then resume. It’s not entirely impossible to have Elder Sims overcome this shortcoming, but just keep a note of it. You don’t want to push your older Sims into an early grave!
All Levels in the Undertaker Career
Now you know everything you need to work your way up in the Undertaker career in The Sims 4, let’s take a look at all the levels available. You can learn things such as the hours, days, and salary, as well as rewards from getting promoted, and what you need to do in order to get promoted.
The First 4 Levels
In the Undertaker career, you pick a branch quite early on compared to other careers in The Sims 4, once you reach level 5. You’ll need to decide which path your Sim will embark on: being a Funeral Director or Mortician. We’ll talk more about it in detail later. For now, here are the first four levels of the Undertaker career.
Grave Digger
Level: 1
Work Days: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Work Hours: 8am – 2pm (6 hours in total)
Salary: §22 per hour (§132 per day)
Daily Task: Work Out
Promotion Requirements: None
If your Sim is starting at the bottom of the Undertaker career, they’re starting out as a Grave Digger. Hey, someone’s got to do it, right? The hours aren’t too punishing. They don’t start too early in the morning and get to finish early afternoon, too. The pay isn’t bad either, and your Sim gets to work five hours a week, putting plenty of Simoleons into their household funds.
If you want your Sim to get promoted to the next level, all you need to do is make sure they work out before heading into work. Have your Sim spend a few hours working out in front of the TV, hitting the gym equipment, going for laps around the pool, or just jogging around the neighborhood or park. That promotion will be in the bag before they know it, and they’ll be moving on up.
Although there are no skill requirements needed to get promoted at this stage, it is recommended that your Sim begins to work on their Thanatology skill. This is built up by reading theories on a computer, reading about historical deaths at a bookcase, or simply by reading the Thanatology skill books. Another good skill to focus on is Fitness. Your Sim will need to be pretty fit if they want to be a serious Undertaker, so have them working out regularly.
Body Guard
Level: 2
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Work Hours: 9pm – 5am (8 hours in total)
Salary: §36 per hour (§288 per day)
Daily Task: Plant Something
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 3 Fitness Skill
Promotion Rewards: §144, New Clothes
Let’s hope your Sim is a night owl, because they’ll now be working the night shift! The hours are quite long, but they’ll at least be making more money. They’ll also get weekends off.
To get the next promotion, your Sim will need to get their Fitness skill to level 3. Hopefully your Sim has gained Fitness already from all that working out in their previous position, so it shouldn’t take long to get to that third level, if they haven’t yet.
Your Sim also has a new daily task: to plant something. Get your hands on any fruit, veg, herb, or flower, then plant it somewhere. It doesn’t matter what it is or where it is, it’ll fulfil the daily task. You might as well start gardening now, as your Sim will need this skill later along the line. Get a small garden going so your Sim has something to work with to build up their Gardening skill.
Grave Keeper
Level: 3
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Work Hours: 9am – 5pm (8 hours in total)
Salary: §54 per hour (§432 per day)
Daily Task: Have Deep Conversation
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 4 Fitness Skill, Reach Level 2 Gardening Skill
Promotion Rewards: §220, Gossip About the Dead Social Interaction
Your Sim is swapping the long night shift for a long day shift instead, which might suit some Sims better. Their days also stay the same, but they’ll again be making a little more money. At this level, your Sim unlocks a new social interaction: Gossip About the Dead, which can be found under the Friendly > Gossip social menu.
To get up to the next level, you need to bring your Sim’s Fitness skill up to level 4, and their Gardening skill to level 2. Your Sim should also spend some time each day having a Deep Conversation with someone as part of their daily task.
Removal Service Staff
Level: 4
Work Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Work Hours: 10am – 6pm (8 hours in total)
Salary: §65 per hour (§520 per day)
Daily Task: Work Out
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 5 Fitness Skill, Reach Level 2 Charisma Skill
Promotion Rewards: §265, Plague Mask Accessory
At the fourth level of the Undertaker career, there are a few subtle changes in your Sim’s schedule, not just the new salary. Your Sim will now work from Tuesday to Saturday, but they’ll still get two days off in a row. They’ll also still work eight-hour day shifts, but it’s shifted slightly, so they’ll now start at 10am and won’t come home until 6pm.
Your Sim’s daily task has switched back to working out. Your Sim will also need to work out to get their Fitness to level 5, if it isn’t already. Not only that, but your Sim will need to start working on their Charisma skill. At this stage, they only need it at level 2, which won’t take long to reach. Just have them practicing speaking in front of a mirror. Getting your Sim into a Confident mood will help gain this skill faster.
Once your Sim gets past level 4 in the Undertaker career, they have to decide between being a Funeral Director and a Mortician.
Funeral Director or Mortician?
Once your Sim gets promoted past Removal Service Staff, they have a key decision to make. They’ll be asked to choose between two different career branches: Mortician or Funeral Director. Whichever one you go with is ultimately up to you, but there are some things you might want to know to help influence your decision.
In both branches, your Sims will work the same number of days, and the same number of hours, although the actual days and hours vary. The pay at each level is also roughly the same. The biggest influence in your decision is probably going to come from the promotional requirements, based on your Sim’s skills, traits, and personal preferences, which may make working your way up a bit easier.
In the Funeral Director branch, your Sim will have to develop different skills if they want to get promotions. These skills include Fitness, Charisma, Gardening, and Thanatology.
In the Mortician branch, your Sim will work on various skills at each level to get promoted. These include the Painting skill, Charisma skill, Logic skill, Fitness skill, and of course Thanatology.
You should keep these skills in mind when deciding on a branch, thinking what would suit your Sim better. Some skills you don’t need to get up beyond level 5, but others you do. For example, Funeral Directors need at least level 8 Charisma, while Morticians need level 7 Fitness quite early on.
You should also know that in both branches, you need to get your Sim’s Thanatology skill to level 4, which is one level below the maximum.
One last thing to keep in mind is the daily tasks, which vary between each branch and level. Funeral Directors typically have to write obituaries on computers and plant new plants, while Morticians focus their time on earning their certifications and reading books.
Funeral Director Branch
Your Sim has chosen the path of a Funeral Director, focusing on the events that honor a recently-deceased Sim. Your Sim will need to work on a number of skills, including Fitness, Charisma, Gardening, and of course Thanatology. They’ll also be writing obituaries on computers.
Administrative Assistant
Level: 5
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Work Hours: 10am – 5pm (7 hours in total)
Salary: §76 per hour (§532 per day)
Daily Task: Write Obituaries
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 6 Fitness Skill, Reach Level 3 Charisma Skill
Promotion Rewards: §532
Now your Sim has chosen the path of a Funeral Director, there are a few changes to get used to. Your Sim has gone back to working Mondays to Fridays, but they have one less hour to work a day now, finishing an hour earlier than before. The promotional requirements are sticking to your Sim working on their Fitness and Charisma, making them bump up each skill to their next level.
Your Sim also has a new daily task to complete: writing obituaries. This makes a change from working out. To write obituaries, your Sim needs access to a computer. This task can be found under the Write menu, the same place where your Sim goes to practicing writing or write stories. You’ll need to do this for a couple of hours a day to mark it as completed.
Grief Counselor
Level: 6
Work Days: Sunday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Work Hours: 9am – 5pm (8 hours in total)
Salary: §126 per hour (§1,008 per day)
Daily Task: Have Deep Conversation
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 4 Charisma Skill, Reach Level 2 Thanatology Skill
Promotion Rewards: §1,008
It’s time for more changes with yet another promotion. Your Sim’s work days are different now. They’re still working five days straight, but Wednesday to Sunday, giving them Monday and Tuesday off. They’ll also work an extra hour, going into work a bit earlier. They will be making a lot more money though; just over a thousand Simoleons per day is nothing to sneer at.
To get promoted, your Sim will need to have deep conversations with other Sims each day. This is probably linked to the fact that your Sim is now a counselor in grief. Also, they’ll need to improve their Charisma skill by one level, and start working on their Thanatology skill. It make sense to study death as they’re working with it.
Burial Consultant
Level: 7
Work Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Work Hours: 9am – 5pm (8 hours in total)
Salary: §165 per hour (§1,320 per day)
Daily Task: Plant Something
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 5 Charisma Skill, Reach Level 3 Gardening Skill
Promotion Rewards: §1,320, Discuss End of Life Services Social Interaction
Things are shifting about again. Your Sim will now work Tuesdays to Saturdays, and make a little more money, but their hours will remain the same. At this level, your Sim unlocks an exclusive social interaction: Discuss End of Life Services.
We’re going back to Gardening and planting with this position. Your Sim should now be a level 3 gardener, and proficient enough to be a level 5 Charisma speaker. Your Sim will need to plant some more plants if they want to satisfy their daily task.
Services Manager
Level: 8
Work Days: Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Work Hours: 9am – 5pm (8 hours in total)
Salary: §203 per hour (§1,624 per day)
Daily Task: Write Obituaries
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 6 Charisma Skill, Reach Level 4 Gardening Skill
Promotion Rewards: §1,624
Same days, same hours at this position, except for a slight shift in work days. There’s a new daily task to deal with as well: Write Obituaries, which you did as a daily task when you first started as a Funeral Director. If you want to see the next promotion through, focus on getting your Sim’s Charisma and Gardening skills to the next level.
Don’t neglect your Sim’s Thanatology skill either. They’ll need it at level 4 if they want to get that top promotion.
Assistant Director
Level: 9
Work Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Work Hours: 10am – 5pm (7 hours in total)
Salary: §290 per hour (§2,030 per day)
Daily Task: Plant Something
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 8 Charisma Skill, Reach Level 4 Thanatology Skill
Promotion Rewards: §2,319
You’re almost there! Just one final push to the top of the Undertaker career in the Funeral Director branch. From now, you’ll be working Tuesday straight through to Saturday. That’s still 5 work days, but at least you’ll have two days off together. You also have one less hour to work, and don’t go in until 10am, so your Sim gets to have a lie-in in the morning. The pay is also very, very good.
You’ve made it this far. Why not take that last step to the top of the career ladder? If you want to do this, you’ll need to get your Sim’s Charisma level to 8, which is two more levels up than the last promotion, but a bit of time schmoozing with other Sims – or practicing in the mirror – and your Sim will get there eventually. Also, you’ll need to turn your attention back to Thanatology one last time, but only up to level 4 instead of the max level of 5. The daily task has also gone back to planting something, so nothing too taxing.
You’ll need your Sim’s Charisma skill at level 8 if you want to get to level 10 of the Undertaker career, Funeral Director branch.
Funeral Director
Level: 10
Work Days: Sunday, Monday, Friday, Saturday
Work Hours: 11am – 5pm (6 hours in total)
Salary: §440 per hour (§2,640 per day)
Daily Task: Discuss End of Life Services
Promotion Rewards: §2,666, Corpus Commendations, Contemplate Existence, New Clothes
Yes! Your Sim is now officially a Funeral Director! What’s so good about being at the top? A few things, like only working four days a week now as opposed to five (you get Tuesday to Thursday off each week). You also only work six hours now, starting quite late at 11am.
Mortician Branch
The Mortician branch of the Undertaker career is a little different to that of Funeral Director. There’s more focus on Fitness, but also Painting. Make sure your Sim keeps up with their Thanatology skill as well.
Death Scene Cleaner
Level: 5
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Work Hours: 10am – 6pm (8 hours in total)
Salary: §84 per hour (§672 per day)
Daily Task: Read
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 6 Fitness Skill, Reach Level 2 Painting Skill
Promotion Rewards: §672
Your Sim has taken the path of being a Mortician. There are a few differences to their new role. They’re back at working Monday to Friday, and their hours have stayed the same. Their salary isn’t bad either. However, the skills they need to focus on for promotion is a little different. They still need to work on their Fitness, but now, they need to get their Painting skill to level 2. As well as this, their daily task requires them to read. That’s it. They just need to read a book for a while each day.
Microbial Researcher
Level: 6
Work Days: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Work Hours: 9am – 5pm (8 hours in total)
Salary: §108 per hour (§864 per day)
Daily Task: Earn Certification on the Computer
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 2 Logic Skill, Reach Level 2 Thanatology Skill
Promotion Rewards: §864
Things are getting serious in the Mortician business now. The days and hours haven’t changed, and naturally your Sim is making a little more money, but the promotion requirements have changed up again. Instead of Fitness and Painting, your Sim will be working on their Logic and Thanatology. Find a chess table, microscope, or telescope to get that Logic leveled up. Your Sim won’t have to do too much work, as they only need each skill at level 2.
For your Sim’s new daily task, they’ll need to Earn Certification via any computer. This is something your Sim can do multiple times, and they may need to do it more than one to get the task 100% complete. It appears as its own action on the computer, not tucked away in a menu.
Cremation Specialist
Level: 7
Work Days: Sunday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday
Work Hours: 9am – 5pm (8 hours in total)
Salary: §156 per hour (§1,248 per day)
Daily Task: Read
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 7 Fitness Skill, Reach Level 2 Painting Skill
Promotion Rewards: §1,248, Discuss End of Life Services Social Interaction
The work days are changing about. Instead of Monday to Friday, it’s Tuesday to Friday, then a work day on Sunday. Your Sim’s daily salary has also gone up over a thousand Simoleons. Your Sim also has access to a new interaction: Discuss End of Life Services, so it’s not just Funeral Directors who get this.
If you’re looking for the next promotion, you’ll want to refocus your efforts on Fitness, as well as Painting. Your Sim will also need to hit the books again and get reading.
Embalmer
Level: 8
Work Days: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Work Hours: 8am – 4pm (8 hours in total)
Salary: §210 per hour (§1,680 per day)
Daily Task: Read Thanatology Theories
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 3 Logic Skill, Reach Level 4 Painting Skill
Promotion Rewards: §1,680
At level 8 of the Mortician branch, there’s a slight shift in hours and days, although the number of hours and days remains the same. A new promotion means improving on your Sim’s Logic and Painting skills, but these are relatively low level, so they shouldn’t take long. Also, your Sim will need to read up on death theories online as their daily task to better increase their chances of promotion.
Mortuary Assistant
Level: 9
Work Days: Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday
Work Hours: 9am – 4pm (7 hours in total)
Salary: §288 per hour (§2,016 per day)
Daily Task: Gain Certification
Promotion Requirements: Reach Level 4 Thanatology Skill, Reach Level 5 Painting Skill
Promotion Rewards: §2,319, Contemplate Existence
You’re just one step away from the top of the Undertaker career in the Mortician branch. As a Mortuary Assistant, you still work five days, but have Thursdays and Fridays off, plus you’ve got one less hour to work each shift. The pay is also pretty good.
If you really want to get to the top position, here’s what you need to do. Get to level 4 of the Thanatology skill, and level 5 of the Painting skill. Get painting and studying death! You’ll also need to spend some time at the computer with the Gain Certification interaction.
Mortician
Level: 10
Work Days: Sunday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
Work Hours: 9am – 3pm (6 hours in total)
Salary: §435 per hour (§2,610 per day)
Daily Task: Read Thanatology Theories
Promotion Rewards: §2,666, Murphy Membrane, New Clothes
You did it! You’re now a top Mortician! There are a few perks at the top. You now only work four days a week instead of five, getting three days off on the trot. You also only work six hours now, one less than before.
Undertaker Chance Cards
Chance cards are quite common in all careers of The Sims 4, and the Undertaker career is no exception. These crop up quite frequently, some even repeating, so you’ll get an idea of what consequences you’ll get. Here’s a rundown of all the chance cards you may very well get during your time in the Undertaker career, with outcomes included:
Beyond the Grave |
Well this is awkward. As a new cadaver is rolled in, [Sim Name] can tell something’s… off about it. [Sim Name]’s been in the business long enough to know the subtle sweet aroma of a lingering soul, still left in the body. Looks like this must have been a botched job by Grim, or most likely – one of his new Grimterns. How might [he/she/they] go about handling this? |
Option 1: Call Grim to Finish the Job |
Option 2: Report this Oversight! |
Option 3: Cut a Serendipitous Deal (Requires Thanatology Skill) |
Option 1 Outcome: Grim’s ego is clearly wounded, but at least we did it by the book. Hopefully Grim doesn’t hold on to this grudge when [Sim Name]’s time is up. (Small Performance Gain and Relationship Loss with Grim) |
Option 2 Outcome: Grim owes you one for your discretion. Now that soul is safely in the afterlife where it belongs and this won’t be a mark on The N.W.D.D.’s insurance record. |
Option 3 Outcome: Our little secret, sure. Do you have any spare souls in the lost & found I could have as a thank you for this generous discretion? (Medium Performance Gain) |
Buried With Work |
The morgue has been receiving deaths from off the coast, at an estate called ‘House of the Fallen Tree’. Odd name. Their records are riddled with mysterious deaths dating back decades. [Sim Name] is hesitant to dig any further. What if someone out there wants this to stay buried? |
Option 1: Dig In |
Option 2: Leave it Alone |
Option 3: Start with the Tricous |
Option 4: Sell This Information |
Option 1 Outcome: Further digging revealed quite a number of deaths on the grounds. Including an entire family, the estate’s original owners. [Sim Name] notices they all died under suspicious means. How tragic. |
Option 2 Outcome: It’s probably best to leave it alone. Unless a detective comes knocking, what’s the point of getting wrapped up in this? |
Cost of Living |
An unfortunate financial crisis is affecting one of [Sim Name]’s clients. It’s hard living in this economy, even as someone who is not living. Will [Sim Name]’s kindness peek through? |
Option 1: Offer Simsurance |
Option 2: Absorb the Cost |
Option 1 Outcome: Unfortunately business is business, and no special treatment is allowed. [Sim Name] can’t help but feel a bit sorry for the client though… |
Option 2 Outcome: A truly generous offer! [Sim Name] should be wary not to do it too often, lest [he/she/they] bankrupt [himself/herself/themself]. Even in death, debt follows. (Medium Performance Gain and §150 taken out of household funds) |
Grave Mistakes |
While doing rounds, [Sim Name] notices a rather large crack running straight down the center of an old gravestone. Strange sigils lay carved into the sides and a sad aura envelopes [him/her/them] as [Sim Name] draws nearer.
Upon a closer look, [Sim Name] sees the grave sits caked in dirt, barely legible, and [Sim Name] begins to wonder why no one has ever come to visit or bring flowers. Is it cursed or just forgotten? Either way, [Sim Name] has to do something. |
Option 1: Order a New One |
Option 2: Clean As Best You Can |
Option 3: Research the Grave Site (Requires Thanatology Skill) |
Option 1 Outcome: [Sim Name] placed the order for a replacement gravestone. Unfortunately with no family to contact, the cost falls on the company. It’s a rather hefty bill which makes [Sim Name]’s boss not too happy. (Small Performance Loss) |
Outcome 2 Outcome: With a little elbow grease, [Sim Name] made the grave look practically new! (Minus the crack, of course.) Before leaving, [Sim Name] runs [his/her/their] fingers along the sigils. “What strange carvings.” A chill passes over [Sim Name] before turning to leave. (Small Performance Gain) |
Outcome 3 Outcome: Flipping through the office’s records, it looks like the plot belongs to a Jon Smith Tricou. Sadly, no family contact is listed. Poor Jon. |
Keep Your De-Composure |
That previous case just keeps itching in the back of [Sim Name]’s mind. [He/She/They] can’t let it go. Apparently, records showed two registered plots located at that estate, House of the Fallen Tree. If [Sim Name] were to use certain connections and job expertise, could [he/she/they] reunite these burials with the other family plots and end the hauntings? |
Option 1: Continue Minding Your Business |
Option 2: Inform the Right Authorities |
Option 3: Move the Plots |
Option 4: Make Ghostly Amends (Only Available for Ghosts) |
Option 1 Outcome: Stopping a haunt is not [Sim Name]’s job. |
Option 2 Outcome: The whole situation goes far beyond what [Sim Name] can do, but knowing who to call was pretty impressive. (Small Performance Gain) |
Option 3 Outcome: It’s hard to believe that [Sim Name] had the guts to step foot in that house, let alone exhume the burials. There’s no sure way of knowing if the reunification worked, but there’s already been word that the estate’s paranormal activity has died down. A grave keeper did mention heightened activity at the cemetery, but that’s probably just a coincidence, right? …Right? (Small Performance Loss) |
The Rest in Pieces |
A ghost is haunting the funeral home! How fitting… Either [Sim Name] brought this on or someone in the morgue has been messing with something they shouldn’t have. An angry spirit whips through the showroom, crashing caskets to the floor and shattering vases full of floral arrangements. [Sim Name] has to stop them! |
Option 1: Shout ‘Do Your Worst!’ |
Option 2: Invoke Her Name |
Option 3: Call in Grim |
Option 4: Use Ghostly Powers (Only Available for Ghosts) |
Option 1 Outcome: While that may work, or at the very least sound really cool, in movies, [Sim Name] did not get a great response after egging on the ghoul. They live to tell the tale, but their office rests in pieces. (Small Performance Loss) |
Option 2 Outcome: [Sim Name] kept chanting ‘Jennicor Tricou…Jennifer Tricou‘ as the ghost shrieked in horror. [Sim Name] carried on, reading aloud a list of names from Jennicor’s family. Jennicor wailed and crashed out the window, never to be seen again. (Small Performance Gain) |
Toe Tags |
Another death has come in from off the coast, at the House of Fallen Trees estate. Fright seems to take the life of just about anyone who walks through those doors. In fact, [Sim Name]’s records show 3 deaths in just the past year! What could be so scary about a house? Could it be truly cursed? |
Option 1: Mind Your Business |
Option 2: Honor the Dead |
Option 3: Track Down These Ghosts |
Option 4: Sell This Information |
Option 1 Outcome: Not [Sim Name]’s ghosties, not [Sim Name]’s haunted house. It’s best to just let dead things lie. |
Option 2 Outcome: [Sim Name] shares a few kind words before beginning [his/her/their] process. Hopefully these mysterious deaths one day stop…although it is good for business. (Medium Performance Gain) |
Option 3 Outcome: With the estate name in mind, [Sim Name] was able to find the estate owners. ‘Tricou.‘ TRICOU?! Like that creepy broken grave?! Theories online claim Fricorith and Gvaudoin Tricou now haunt the residence, scaring off anyone who dares enter. Could they be responsible for the string of fright-wrought deaths on the property? (Small Performance Gain) |
Undertaker Career Rewards
Some careers in The Sims 4 offer exclusive objects and clothing upon getting promotions. The Undertaker career is no different. However, things get a bit more mixed up. There aren’t so many objects and outfits than new interactions that you might want to know about. Here’s everything you can unlock in the Undertaker career:
- New Outfits (Level 2, Level 5 in both branches, Level 10 in both branches)
- Gossip About the Dead Social Interaction (Level 3)

- Discuss End of Life Services Social Interaction (Level 7 in both branches)
- Corpus Commendations (Level 10 Funeral Director)
