The Sims 4 Ondarion World Guide

Ondarion is the world that comes with The Sims 4 Royalty & Legacy Expansion Pack. It is a place full of Nobility, with several of its existing families consisting of established Dynasties, all of whom are competing for the crown. Ondarion is also a very culturally diverse world, featuring three distinctive neighborhoods based on different countries in the world. This rich world is very regal, opulent, and full of curiosities. 

Since Ondarion is such a vast and diverse place to both visit and live in, it can feel overwhelming at first. Therefore, this guide will take you on a complete tour of Ondarion, introducing the Sims who live there, the various residential and community lots, facilities to know about, and even secrets to discover.

1. All Neighborhoods and Lots in Ondarion

Ondarion is made up of three different neighborhoods: Bellacorde, Dambele, and Verdemar. Each one has its own residential and community lots, as well as facilities. There are also some features you might not be aware of!

1.1. Notable Features in All Neighborhoods

Even though all of the neighborhoods are different, they do share some common features you should know of.

• Boats: All neighborhoods have vast waters to swim in, but also free boats to sail around in.
• Beaches: Every neighborhood in Ondarion has at least one beach you can visit.
• Swordsmanship Tournament Spots: Each neighborhood has a designated spot for engaging in Swordsmanship activities, such as practicing and duels.
• Dance Floor: You don’t need to visit the lots to find a ballroom dance floor. These can be found in a different spot in each neighborhood to practice your dancing, or even plan Grand Balls.
• Food Stalls: A food stall can be found in every neighborhood. What is served depends on the neighborhood.
• Restrooms: If your Bladder is calling for attention, a restroom can be located in each neighborhood. If you have Enchanted by Nature, you can Sponge Bathe here as well.

1.2. Bellacorde

The most beautiful and romantic neighborhood in Ondarion, inspired by Mediterranean countries such as France, Spain, and Italy, but also the most expensive. The elite lifestyle thrives here… but so does juicy, scandalous gossip that spreads like wildfire.

This luxurious apartment is a great place to live. It has all the usual rooms such as a kitchen, dining space, bedroom, bathroom, living area, study, but it also contains a throne room and Swordsmanship training room! If the Alto household expands or you move a bigger family in, you can always convert some of the rooms into extra bedrooms.

If you love the Alto’s luxurious apartment, you can move into the apartment next door! It is a little more expensive, but you get more of the same. It’s beautifully furnished, and although it isn’t currently decorated as such, there’s plenty of room for a throne, dance floor, and training dummy should you want to make this space fit for a Noble.

Just watch out for the Heist Havoc lot challenge, which means more visits from burglars – but this can be removed.

This beautiful mansion with its wonderfully landscaped gardens is perfect for nobility. Inside is a grand throne room/ballroom with a bar, a large parlour room with books and a grand piano, a big  kitchen, two dining areas (inside and out), and a vast number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The dining room also contains a secret passageway.

1.2.4. Giardino del Grandioso

This space is fantastic for building something big, especially as it’s the largest available lot space in The Sims 4. You can build the mansion of your dreams here if you wish, although a small house already exists here. It is very basic, with a kitchen/dining space, bathroom, and bedroom, and not much else. However, the space available for expansion is ridiculous, so you shouldn’t have any problem building something bigger here.

1.2.5. La Vivace

Unwind in the glamorous and opulent lounge of Ondarion: La Vivace. This is a wonderful space for hosting Grand Balls – but probably not much else, aside from mingling with Sims when events aren’t happening. 

If you have the My Wedding Stories Game Pack, you could easily transform this place into a gorgeous Wedding Venue. You just need to add a wedding arch or two, seating for guests, and then other items like a toasting set and wedding cake stand. What could be more romantic than a wedding in beautiful Ondarion?

1.2.6. Renaissance Road

This more modest yet still beautiful home is where the Monty household live. You’ll find a living room, kitchen and dining room, two bedrooms, and one bathroom.

1.2.7. Notable Features in Bellacorde

Apart from the lots, there are other amenities found in Bellacorde to know about, useful if you’re just passing through, visiting for a day trip, or even living there.

• Enchanted Mirror: Found at the lake. Can be used to discover secrets and see into the future, but this can backfire and give a negative Moodlet.
• Easels: A row of easels can be found in Bellacorde.
• Statue: A unique statue can be Viewed near the palace – or defaced.

1.3. Dambele

Dambele, inspired by West Africa, holds a long tradition of arts and crafting, and is noted for being warm and welcoming. On the surface it doesn’t look like an affluent neighborhood, but it is very wealthy. They just choose not to display it. The heart of Dambele is the community and sharing.

This is the vacant apartment lot in Dambele. It’s cheaper and a little more basic than the other apartment, but still a decent and affordable place to live, especially if you’re just starting out in Dambele, plus there’s space for a small family. Like the other apartment, there may not be enough room to fit a throne, but it might be manageable if you can sacrifice some space. 

Initially, this place has a kitchen, dining area, living area, two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a back room.

1.3.2. 18 Bright Cliff

This apartment in Dambele is slightly more expensive than the one next door, but it is more opulent. It has a living space, dining room, kitchen, two bedrooms, and two bathrooms. It’s a nice comfortable home. It might be a bit of a squeeze to have any Noble items here, like a throne, but you might be able to make it work by juggling some items around.

The fanciest building in Dambele, the palace is home to the Darong Dynasty. Inside is a huge host of rooms, including a throne room, ballroom, study, kitchen, dining room, living room, bedrooms, and bathrooms.

1.3.4. Hardcover

Hardcover is a new type of lot introduced with Royalty & Legacy: Backroom. This is essentially where it functions as a library during the day, and then operates as a nightclub at night. The nightclub can be found in the basement.

1.3.5. Sankofa Residence

• Bedrooms: 3
• Bathrooms: 3
• Cost: §224,527
• Lot Traits: Great Acoustics

This large house situated in old Dambele is suitable for a larger household. Plus, there’s space for your Noble amenities such as a throne. However, it is very expensive, like everything in Ondarion. Without cheats, it’s beyond reach for a starter household. If you can afford it though, it includes a living area, kitchen, dining area, study, bedrooms, bathrooms, a balcony, and an upstairs bar area. The furnishings also come with a secret passageway.

Sankofa has a lot of potential for Sims living the high life, even if they’re not in the Noble Career. It can be a great place for hosting parties. Some ideas for inspiration include building a basement pool (there’s not really a lot of room outside) and placing a hot tub on the top floor. You’ll be the envy of your neighbors!

Another consideration is turning this particular lot into a Vacation Rental, as Ondarion currently doesn’t have any. It can be the perfect place to relax and take a break.

1.3.6. Zanbira Market

• Lot Type: Community Market
• Size: 30 x 20
• Cost: §123,139
• Lot Traits: Convivial, Teen Neighborhood

This is another new type of lot introduced with Royalty & Legacy. The Community Market is where Sims come together to sell their wares. Sales tables are found here, as well as an industrial kitchen and seating areas.

1.3.7. Notable Features in Dambele

Dambele is an interesting neighborhood with some features to look out for.

• Anansi’s Well: At this well, you can complete a series of trials, which earns you a powerful reward trait, plus a promotion in the Noble Career. We have a guide just to help you with this. You can also toss a coin into the well to get some useful advice.
• Ancestor’s Tree: You can ask for an Ancestor’s Blessing at this tree, View it, or Recite.
• Podium: Sims in the Noble Career find this podium by the beach useful for conducting speeches and hosting conferences, which builds Charisma Skill.
• Telescope and Easel: If you look around the back of the big mansion, you can find a telescope and easel to use to build Logic and Painting Skill. 

1.4. Verdemar

A coastal port, home to Nobles and pirate ancestors, and inspired by Portugal. Marked as a place for the adventurous and outcasts.

1.4.1. Abrantes Estate

The Abrantes Estate is a lovely, opulent mansion, the perfect home for Nobles. Behind its stone walls are a living room, kitchen, dining room, throne room, upstairs parlour, study, bedrooms, and bathrooms. Plus, if you go up the stairs from the study, you can climb the tower to the top to find a telescope, a great spot for looking out over Ondarion.

1.4.2. Casa do Corsário

This small but stylish home is occupied by sole member Aloisio Romauldo. It contains a living area, kitchen, dining room, bedroom, and bathroom. This place also has its own secret passageway, useful for getting around. It’s a great place for a single Sim, or a couple – if you can afford it.

1.4.3. Fisherman’s Hut

The Fisherman’s Hut is the only vacant built lot in Verdemar – and it’s affordable for starter Sims! There’s a bit of space outside, plus your own pond, which means there’s room for expansion should you want it. It’s very basic and barebones inside, with cheap furniture and small rooms, but with a bit of spare money, this place can really be fixed up.

It is quite cramped inside the Fisherman’s Hut, so you’ll either need to be clever with your space (especially if you’re familiar with tiny homes) or make use of the free space to do some expansion work.

1.4.4. The Lair in the Open-Air

This lot is completely empty and ready to be built on. It might not seem very big, especially if you want to build something fancier, but if you look at Aloisio Romualdo’s place, which is even smaller, you’ll realize there’s plenty enough room to put something nice here. If not a residential home, why not place some kind of community lot? Ondarion’s the perfect place to host a restaurant or spa, or anything missing that you desire.

This land is also right by its own pond where you can catch fish and go frog hunting, if you enjoy that sort of thing.

1.4.5. Verdemar Palace

This gorgeous mansion is home to the Thebe household. It has a beautifully-landscaped garden full of hydrangeas, its own opulent throne room, a ballroom with a bar, a large kitchen/dining room, living room/study, an attic room, and three bedrooms and bathrooms. It’s truly a home fit for royalty.

1.4.6. Ye Olde Voyager

• Lot Type: Bar
• Size: 30 x 20
• Cost: §111,407
• Lot Traits: Convivial

This beautifully-designed bar is a great place for Sims to mingle and relax after a busy day of Noble duties. You can find the usual bar amenities; a bar, grand piano, games tables, and plenty of places to sit and chat with friends. A secret passageway is installed upstairs.

1.4.7. Notable Features in Verdemar

Aside from the lots, Verdemar has some interesting features you might want to know about.

• Travel ports: Verdemar features two travel ports so you can get to the bottom of the hill and up to the top, saving a lot of time traveling by foot.
• Lighthouse: You cannot enter the lighthouse at Verdemar, but you can View it.
• Sword in the Stone: Verdemar’s unique feature is a sword stuck in a stone. Only a Sim with high Swordsmanship Skill can pull out this sword. Attempting to do so with low skill results in failure and an Embarrassed Moodlet. The sword is part of the Ondarion Swords collection.
• Blacksmith: If you’re building your Sword collection, you need to visit the Blacksmith, found by the Swordsmanship Tournament area. The swords available depend on your Swordsmanship Skill.
• Bonfire: If you like a bonfire, one can be found on the beach.

2. Collectibles in Ondarion

You can gather some resources in Ondarion, including frogs, plants, and fish. Ondarion is a great place to visit if you’re an avid frog collector – or you want to find a frog to kiss! It’s also a good fishing spot, with a few posts scattered around the neighborhoods.

2.1. Treasure Spots

When exploring Ondarion, in each of the neighborhoods, you may notice some strange looking rocks with red scribbles on them. These are actually marked treasure chest spots. You cannot directly interact with these rocks, but if you get your Sim to walk up to them, you might come across a treasure chest, which you can open. You may be rewarded with plants or something else, but it is random.

3. Seasons in Ondarion (Seasons Expansion)

If you have The Sims 4 Seasons Expansion Pack installed, you might be curious about the climate and weather in Ondarion throughout the year.

In the summer, Ondarion is a pretty warm place, but unforgiving heatwaves surprisingly don’t appear to be a feature. In the colder months such as fall, winter, and spring, it does get cooler, but not freezing cold.

In summary, Ondarion has a warm climate but doesn’t appear to fall into the extremes.

4. All Households and Residents of Ondarion

Ondarion has a rich offering of households, possibly the highest occupied among worlds in The Sims 4. There are a total of 8 pre-made households living here. Most of them, with one or two exceptions, are part of their own Dynasty, and they’re all fighting for the crown (aka Level 10 Noble Career). Some Sims have peaked at Level 9, so it’s up to you to decide who takes the crown.

When listing each Sim below in their respective households, their default Nobility titles have also been included. Keep in mind that these may be different in your game depending on whenever you have edited the set titles for different Nobility levels and genders.
