Week 2 of the Nature’s Calling Event in The Sims 4 introduces two new quests filled with outdoor activities and new rewards. Players can earn Event Points while exploring tasks like examining mysterious trees, crafting new furniture, and enjoying hot tubs. This guide covers how to complete every task in Week 2, including optional objectives that require specific expansion packs, ensuring you unlock all possible rewards for your Sims.

1. Nature’s Calling Week 2 Rewards

Completing all tasks in Week 2 of the Nature’s Calling Event unlocks 7 new rewards. Some items must be claimed during the quest to be usable for certain tasks.

  • Reclaimed Wood Dining Chair – Woodworking Table Recipe
  • 100 Satisfaction Points – Automatically added to your Sim’s Satisfaction Points
  • Flowing Fronds Swimwear – Available in Create-A-Sim
  • Handiness Vol. 2 Skill Book – Found in Inventory
  • Foraged Feast – Available to cook from any refrigerator or stove
  • Instant Fun Potion – Found in Inventory
  • Touch Grass Weekly, Issue #2 – Added to Sim’s Inventory and available for purchase in Build Mode > Decorations

You need Level 2 Cooking to make the Foraged Feast.

2. How to Complete Enigma of the Cove Quest

The first quest of Week 2, Enigma of the Cove, requires your Sim to spend time outdoors, visit Foundry Cove in Willow Creek, and investigate a mysterious tree. Completing this quest grants 100 Event Points.

How to Spend Time Outdoors

  1. Send your Sim outside.
  2. Allow the Spend Time Outdoors moodlet to complete. This takes around 2 in-game hours.

How to Travel to Foundry Cove

  1. Open your Sim’s phone.
  2. Select Travel > Travel to Foundry Cove.
  3. Confirm the prompt to proceed.

How to Dig Rocks at Foundry Cove

  1. Locate any rock in Foundry Cove.
  2. Select the rock and choose Dig.
  3. Complete the digging interaction.

If all rocks have already been dug up, wait approximately one in-game day for rocks to respawn.

How to View the Mysterious Tree at Foundry Cove

Foundry Cove contains the distinctive tree known as the entrance to Sylvan Glade, a hidden lot in Willow Creek.

  1. Find the unique tree near the river behind smaller houses.
  2. Select the tree and choose View.
  3. Allow your Sim to complete the action.

How to Buy a Telescope

  1. Enter Build Mode.
  2. Navigate to Outdoor Activities or Hobbies & Skills.
  3. Purchase the Back Pocket Observatory for 750 Simoleons.
  4. Place it on your Sim’s home lot.
  5. Exit Build Mode.

If you own The Sims 4 Werewolves Game Pack, an additional telescope option is available in Build Mode.

How to Use the Telescope to Look for Signs

  1. Select the telescope.
  2. Choose the Look for Signs interaction.
  3. Complete the observation action.

How to Adopt a Dog

  1. Open your Sim’s phone or computer.
  2. Select Household > Call Adoption Agency.
  3. Choose Adopt Dog. Adoption costs 200 Simoleons.
  4. Select a dog from the list.
  5. Wait for the Adoption Agent to arrive.
  6. Interact with the dog.
  7. Select the dog and choose Adopt.
  8. Assign a name to your new dog to complete adoption.

How to Walk a Dog or Ask Them to Go Potty

After adopting a dog, you have two ways to complete this task:

To Walk the Dog:
  1. Select the dog.
  2. Choose Pet Care > Go On Walk.
  3. Select one of four options: Jog, Short Walk, Medium Walk, or Long Walk. For speed, select Short Walk.
  4. Wait for your Sim and the dog to complete the walk. Even short walks can take several in-game hours.
  5. Once the pair returns home, the task is complete.

If you opt for the walk, go for a short one.

To Ask the Dog to Go Potty:
  1. Select the dog.
  2. Choose Pet Care > Ask to Go Potty.
  3. Complete the interaction as the dog goes outside.

Using Ask to Go Potty is faster than walking the dog if you want to complete the task quickly.

3. How to Complete The Comfort of Nature Quest

The second quest for Week 2, The Comfort of Nature, focuses on more outdoor activities, including hot tub relaxation and woodworking. Completing this quest rewards 100 Event Points.

How to Buy a Hot Tub

  1. Enter Build Mode.
  2. Navigate to Plumbing > Tubs, or Activities & Skills > Outdoor Activities.
  3. Purchase the Birthday Hot Tub for 3,000 Simoleons.
  4. Place it on your Sim’s lot.

If you only have the base game, the Birthday Hot Tub is your only option.

How to Soak in a Hot Tub with the Flowing Fronds Swimwear

  1. Claim the Flowing Fronds Swimwear from the Event Menu if you haven’t already.
  2. Use a mirror or dresser to enter Create-A-Sim.
  3. Change your Sim into the Flowing Fronds Swimwear under the Swimwear Outfit category.
  4. Ensure your Sim is wearing the swimwear.
  5. Select the hot tub and choose Get In.

How to Complete One Level of a Nature Aspiration

This is the longest task of Week 2. Your Sim must complete one milestone of any Nature Aspiration. If your Sim has no Nature Aspiration, you’ll need to assign one for this task. You can change aspirations afterward if desired.

The Sims 4 Base Game offers 3 Nature Aspirations:

  • Freelance Botanist – Focused on Gardening Skill
  • The Curator – Focused on Collections
  • Angling Ace – Focused on Fishing Skill

Each requires completing a small set of initial tasks. These are recommended for speed because they do not require travel to other worlds or expensive purchases.

How to Buy a Tent

  1. Enter Build Mode > Outdoor Activities.
  2. Purchase the Canvas Cabin for 470 Simoleons.
  3. Place it on your Sim’s lot.

If you own The Sims 4 Outdoor Retreat Game Pack, additional tents are available.

How to Sleep in a Tent

  1. Select the tent.
  2. Choose Sleep.
  3. Wait for your Sim to finish resting. This may take several in-game hours depending on Energy levels.

How to Craft Two Reclaimed Wood Dining Chairs

  1. Ensure you own a Woodworking Table or travel to a lot that has one.
  2. Claim the Reclaimed Wood Dining Chair recipe from the Event Menu.
  3. Select the woodworking table and choose Craft Furniture > Reclaimed Wood Dining Chair.
  4. Pay 37 Simoleons to craft one chair.
  5. Repeat the process a second time for the second chair.

Level 3 Handiness Skill level is required for this recipe.

4. What’s Next in the Nature’s Calling Event?

Week 3 of the Nature’s Calling Event in The Sims 4 will unlock on Tuesday, 8th July at 9:00am PST. It will introduce new quests, tasks, and additional rewards for your Sims to collect.
