Week 1 of the Nature’s Calling Event in The Sims 4 introduces outdoor tasks, unlockable items, and skill-building opportunities. This guide covers every quest objective, including all optional tasks tied to specific Expansion Packs, and shows how to claim every Week 1 reward.
1. How to Start the Nature’s Calling Event
The Nature’s Calling Event is available to all players with The Sims 4 base game. You do not need any Expansion Packs to complete the main questline. Optional tasks will appear if you own compatible packs.
- Log into your EA Account.
- Start The Sims 4 and load any save or create a new household.
- Enter Live Mode and wait a few seconds. The first quest notification will appear automatically.
- Ensure the game is unpaused for the quest to begin.

2. Nature’s Calling Week 1 Rewards
Completing all tasks in Week 1 unlocks up to 7 rewards. These can be found in Create-A-Sim, Build Mode, or your Sim’s Inventory.

- 5,000 Simoleons – Automatically added to Household Funds
- Odonata Glasses – Available in Create-A-Sim
- Handiness Vol. 1 Skill Book – Found in Inventory
- Reclaimed Wood Wall – Build Mode > Wall Patterns > Paneling
- Instant Hygiene Potion – Found in Inventory
- Touch Grass Weekly, Issue #1 – Build Mode > Decorations

3. How to Complete Whispers on the Wind Quest
This is the first quest of the event and introduces basic outdoor activities. Completing all main tasks will reward 100 Event Points. Two optional tasks are available if you own the Lovestruck Expansion Pack. Make sure to complete these before the other tasks or you will lose your chance.
How to Spend Time Outdoors
- Send your Sim outside on any lot.
- Wait until the Spend Time Outdoors moodlet appears.
- Let the moodlet expire naturally.

How to Visit a Park with a Pond
- Open your Sim’s phone and choose Travel.
- Visit any park with a pond. Base game options include:
- Magnolia Blossom (Willow Creek)
- Desert Bloom (Oasis Springs)
Magnolia Blossom and Desert Bloom are parks that have a pond.
How to Go Fishing in a Pond
- Locate the pond at the park. Use the task list to help find it.
- Select the pond and choose Go Fishing.
- Let your Sim fish briefly to complete the task.

How to Listen to the Wind on a Park Bench
- Find a bench at the park.
- Select the bench and choose Listen to the Wind.
- Allow the interaction to complete.

How to Get a Romantic Blanket (Optional – Lovestruck Expansion Required)
- Enter Build Mode.
- Search under Outdoor Activities for the Romantic Blanket.
- Purchase one for 250 Simoleons and place it on your lot.
Lovestruck has 3 Romantic Blankets to choose from.
How to Set Up a Picnic on the Romantic Blanket (Optional)
- Select the Romantic Blanket and choose Set Up Picnic.
- Choose food and optionally invite another Sim.
- Select Confirm to begin the picnic.
Choose the food and company, then enjoy an outdoor picnic on the blanket.
4. How to Complete Attuned to the Echoes Quest
This second quest introduces woodworking and builds your Sim’s Handiness Skill. Finishing all objectives will reward another 100 Event Points.
How to Ask Another Sim About the Whispers
- Introduce yourself to any Sim if you haven’t met yet.
- Select the Ask About the Whispers interaction.

How to Go for a Jog
- Select your Sim and choose Go Jogging.
- Let them jog until the task is marked complete.

How to Get the Reclaimed Woodworking Table
- Open the Event Menu and select Claim All to unlock the table.
- Enter Build Mode and filter by Special > Event Rewards.
- The Reclaimed Woodworking Table is found under Hobbies & Skills and costs 500 Simoleons.
- Place the table on your Sim’s lot.
Remember to claim the woodworking table in the Event Menu so it becomes available in Build Mode.
How to Craft Woodworking Sculptures
- Select the woodworking table and choose Craft Sculpture.
- Available options at Handiness Level 1:
- Horse Sculpture – 10 Simoleons
- Knife Block – 5 Simoleons
- Craft 2 sculptures to complete the objective.
Craft any sculpture you like, but you only get two options at Level 1 Handiness.
How to Cloudgaze or Stargaze
- Select your Sim and choose Cloudgaze (daytime) or Stargaze (nighttime).
