Jungle Explorer is a Nature Aspiration from The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure Game Pack. It focuses on exploring the jungle and Omiscan Temple in Selvadorada, completing tasks that involve collecting treasures, surviving natural dangers, and learning local culture. The final reward is the Treasure Hunter Trait, which increases the chances of finding rare treasures and relics. This guide is a complete walkthrough for all milestones and tasks.
1. Best Tips for Completing the Jungle Explorer Aspiration
Before starting, prepare your Sim with the right traits, skills, and supplies. These tips will help you progress faster and save Simoleons while exploring.
- Have Loves Outdoors Trait. Spending long periods outdoors keeps Sims happy and boosts moodlets.
- Only Stay for Short Periods During Vacation. Book 2 days at a time to save money; you can extend your stay if needed. This also resets the jungle and temple when you travel home.
- Sell Unwanted Treasures and Relics to Pay for Vacation Expenses. Use these funds for better lodging, dining, and jungle supplies.
- Buy As Many Jungle Supplies As Possible. Stock up from marketplace stalls to deal with Needs, dangers, and chance card encounters.
- Work on Skills Used in Jungle and Temple Exploration. These include Handiness, Fishing, Fitness, Charisma, Logic, Archaeology, and Selvadoradian Culture.
- Learn Natural Living Skill (Enchanted by Nature). Useful for sleeping on the ground, summoning a Privy Bush, and eating wild food.
If you’re not planning to keep it, sell the treasures you find in Selvadorada. You’ll make so much money you could quit your day job!
2. How to Visit Selvadorada
Selvadorada is a vacation world and the only place where jungle exploration is possible. You’ll need to travel here to complete almost every milestone.
- Open the phone and select Travel.
- Choose Go on Vacation and select your Sims.
- From the world select, choose Selvadorada.
- Select a rental lot — there are 4 with different prices and facilities.
- Pick your vacation length and confirm to travel.
Choose any lodging you like for your stay, but consider factors like its location, cost, size, and Lot Traits and Challenges.
3. How to Complete Vacationer Milestone
The first stage is quick to complete and introduces you to Puerto Llamante Marketplace. You’ll need to buy goods, eat local food, and view the statue of Madre Cosecha.
Everything you need for part one of the Jungle Explorer Aspiration is at the Puerto Llamante Marketplace.
How to Buy Goods Off the Marketplace Tables
Purchase any 3 items from the marketplace stalls. Vendors sell exploration gear such as:
- Dr. Parker’s Spider Repellent – used against spider ambushes – §20
- Guzmania Pollenis Flower – used as bee deterrents – §25
- Fire Foam – puts out fires caused by traps – §150
- Plasma Bat Bait – used against bat ambushes – §45
- Drake’s Fire Quencher – used for bug attacks – §80
- Waterfall in a Bottle – satisfies some Hygiene – §65
- Faraday Fizz – protects against electricity – §115
- Liquid Rush – revives some Energy – §100
- Jungle Machete – used for hacking through jungle bramble and some chance card encounters – §120
- Grilled Cheese Ready to Eat – fills Sim’s Hunger – §40
- Omiscan Doll – decorative item and toy – §80
- Traditional Harvest Basket – decorative item – §40
- Omiscan Stone Lotus – decorative item – §135
Tip: If a table has goods displayed but you can’t buy them, wait until the vendor is present. Items can only be purchased when a vendor is at the stall.
Buy as much as you can afford. There’s no limit to how much you can grab from the marketplace, except your funds.
How to Eat a Selvadoradian Meal
Order food from the single market food stand and eat one meal. Alternatively, cook and eat a Selvadoradian dish you have learned.
How to View the Statue of Madre Cosecha
Located outside the bar in Selvadorada. Select View to complete this task.
4. How to Complete Expedition Rookie Milestone
In this stage, you’ll venture into the jungle for the first time, level up the Selvadoradian Culture Skill, explore off-path areas, and examine temple traps.
How to Level Up Selvadoradian Culture Skill to Level 3
- Use socials like Ask About the Jungle and Discuss Local Heritage. Look for socials with the skill’s icon next to them.
- Eat Selvadoradian food.
- View the statue of Madre Cosecha.
- Use Study for Historical Insights interaction on certain objects at places like the museum and Omiscan Temple.
How to Explore an Area Off the Path
Look for stone archways with vines in the jungle. Clear the vines to access new areas. Not all archways are available in the same trip.
If an archway has a door blocking it and the Clear Path options are greyed out, this area is inaccessible for this vacation in Selvadorada.
How to Examine Traps
Reach the Omiscan Temple, descend through its levels, and find any 3 traps to examine.
How to Reach the Omiscan Temple
Before you can do this task, you must first reach the Omiscan Temple in the jungle:
- Enter the jungle. Cross over the bridge, go through the archway and enter the clearing.
- At the clearing, there should be four archways. Look for the archway next to a temple. This is the entrance to the Omiscan Temple.
- Clear the vines, answer the chance card, and select OK to enter the temple’s area.
At the clearing, look for the stone archway next to a big temple structure. This is the entrance to the Omiscan Temple area.
Where to Find Traps
Once at the temple, you’ll need to go down the floors until you find a trap inside. Temple traps come in different shapes and forms. You may get the following:
- Row of three skeletons holding spears
- Giant tiki mask
- Rotating tower of cubes
- Tower of cubes with hand holes
- Floor switch
- Four plinths with bowls
Find any 3 of these traps and select Examine. This is required to determine how to bypass the temple’s obstacles. Even if your Sim does not successfully determine the correct activation, examining each trap will still count towards the task.
5. How to Complete Regional Master Milestone
This stage increases difficulty by adding wildlife encounters and requiring mastery of the Selvadoradian Culture Skill as well as assembling a Mystical Relic.
How to Defend Against Natural Dangers
During jungle exploration and temple runs in Selvadorada, your Sim will encounter various natural dangers that can cause negative Moodlets lasting for hours, such as bat swarms and bee attacks.
To prepare, always visit the Puerto Llamante Marketplace before heading into the jungle and buy at least one of every defensive supply available. These items protect against each specific danger and can be used instantly when a danger occurs. This includes items like Dr. Parker’s Spider Repellent, Guzmania Pollenis Flower, Plasma Bat Bait, and others sold at the stalls.
Natural danger encounters can also happen on any lot with the Creepy Crawlies lot challenge, so make sure you’re stocked up even if you aren’t planning to explore that day.
To complete this Aspiration task, you need to successfully defend against two natural dangers. This means automatically using the correct supply item to prevent the danger’s negative effect. Only direct encounters count — chance card encounters do not count towards this objective.
How to Reach Level 5 Selvadoradian Culture Skill
You now need to completely max out the Selvadoradian Culture Skill. Keep using Selvadoradian Culture social interactions. New ones get unlocked as you level up, giving you more options. Other actions such as Study for Historical Insights helps progress as well.
How to Assemble a Mystical Relic
A Mystical Relic is a powerful item exclusive to The Sims 4 Jungle Adventure. When completed, it can curse, bless, or otherwise affect Sims in unique ways. To create one, you need three parts:
- Relic Top – Found inside treasure chests in the Omiscan Temple.
- Relic Bottom – Also found in treasure chests within the Omiscan Temple.
- Refined Crystal – Obtained by digging crystal rocks in the jungle, then sending them away for refinement for §20 (takes 1–2 days to arrive by post), or by purchasing directly from any vendor at the marketplace.
Once you have all three components, you can assemble the relic. Here’s how to do it:
- From your Sim’s Inventory, select either the relic top or relic bottom and choose Fuse.
- Pick the matching relic part to complete the base structure.
- Select the newly assembled relic in your Inventory and choose Insert Crystal.
- Choose a crystal from the available list to place into the relic.
- Your Mystical Relic is now fully assembled and ready to be activated.
The relic’s effects will depend on the specific relic parts and the type of crystal used, so experimentation can lead to different results.
6. How to Complete the Jungle Explorer Milestone
The final stage focuses on finding rare treasures and using your Mystical Relic.
How to Open Rare Omiscan Treasure Chests
The rarest treasures are found in special rare Omiscan treasure chests in the Omiscan Temple. These look distinctive to other treasure chests as they are more colorful compared to the grey treasure chests.
Omiscan treasure chests can only be found in the final chamber of the Omiscan Temple. Usually, there’s just one per temple visit.
As this task requests opening 3 rare Omiscan treasure chests, you’ll need to visit the Omiscan Temple 3 times.
The rarest and most valuable treasures are found in these colorful Omiscan treasure chests, usually in the Temple’s final chamber.
How to Activate a Mystical Relic
Assembled Mystical Relics can be used on yourself or other Sims. What powers the Relic holds depends on the relic’s statue and base, as well as the crystal used. They can affect a Sim’s Mood, relationship, or curse or bless them.
To activate a Mystical Relic, you can either select Activate on Self, or use on another Sim. Whatever you choose, you must do it 5 times. You’ll need to wait a few hours before you can use the Relic again.
Mystical Relics can be used on your own Sim or another. Just watch out for what powers the Relic holds!
How to Find 5 Omiscan Treasures
Normally, only one Omiscan treasure can be found in an Omiscan treasure chest, with just one Omiscan treasure chest per temple visit. This means you may have to visit the Temple 5 times to complete this task.
Additionally, with some chance cards encounters in the jungle, depending on what outcome you choose, you may come away with an extra Omiscan treasure, which counts towards this task.
7. Reward for Completing Jungle Explorer Aspiration
Once the final task for Jungle Explorer has been completed, you gain the Treasure Hunter reward trait. Having this increases your chances of finding more prizes when opening treasure chests.
