It focuses on mastering the Archaeology Skill and completing a variety of archaeology-related tasks while exploring Selvadorada. Completing the Archaeology Scholar Aspiration rewards your Sim with the Museum Patron Trait, which grants benefits such as becoming Confident when visiting museums and donating artifacts for Fame. This guide is a full walkthrough of every milestone and task in the Aspiration.

1. Best Tips for Completing the Archaeology Scholar Aspiration

These tips will make completing the Archaeology Scholar Aspiration faster and more efficient, helping you maximise your skill gains and time in Selvadorada:

  • Have the Genius Trait. The Archaeology Skill builds faster when your Sim is Focused, and Genius Sims naturally enter this mood more often.
  • Trigger the Focused Mood Often. Play chess, use the Archaeology Table, or view Focus-boosting décor to speed up skill progression. Eating a Cerebrerry Emotion Berry from deep in the jungle also works.
  • Stay on a Vacation Lot with an Archaeology Table. Renting a property that already has one saves the §390 cost.
  • Carry Your Own Archaeology Table. Keep one in your Sim’s Inventory to work anywhere during jungle exploration.
  • Sell Extra Treasures to Fund Vacations. Vacation costs in Selvadorada can add up — sell unwanted finds to cover expenses.

2. How to Visit Selvadorada

For most tasks in the Archaeology Scholar Aspiration, your Sim will need to be in Selvadorada, a vacation world. Here’s how to travel there:

  1. Open your phone and select Travel > Go on Vacation.
  2. From world select, choose Selvadorada.
  3. Pick one of the four vacation rental lots.
  4. Select your desired length of stay.
  5. Click Confirm to begin your trip.

3. How to Complete the Trowel Technician Milestone

This first milestone introduces your Sim to basic archaeology activities, such as excavating dig piles and uncovering artifacts.

Dig piles appear as dirt mounds with items sticking out and can be found throughout the Selvadorada jungle. To excavate, select a dig pile and choose Excavate. You must excavate 3 dig piles to complete this task.

How to Uncover an Artifact From a Dirt Clump

Excavating may yield a dirt clump containing an artifact. To uncover it, select an Archaeology Table and choose Uncover Artifact, then pick the clump from your Sim’s Inventory. Sims with high enough skill will automatically start authenticating it. You only need to uncover 1 artifact for this task.

4. How to Complete the Research Associate Milestone

This stage requires reaching Level 4 Archaeology, unlocking the Survey interaction, and authenticating artifacts.

From Level 3, select an Archaeology Table and choose Authenticate Artifact. Complete this for 3 artifacts to finish the task.

This milestone requires a higher skill level and introduces establishing excavation sites and finding Excellent-quality artifacts.
