The Fount of Tomarani Knowledge aspiration in The Sims 4 For Rent Expansion Pack is a Location aspiration focused on exploring the unique culture, food, and landmarks of Tomarang. There are 12 total tasks across 3 milestones. Sims earn the Tomarang Expert trait as a reward, making this a great choice for players who want to experience all of Tomarang’s attractions.
1. Milestone 1: Regional Rookie
This milestone introduces your Sim to the key cultural elements of Tomarang, from greetings to new toilets. Each task is simple but provides a strong foundation for the rest of the aspiration.
How to Leave Fruit or Incense at a Spirit House
Buy a Spirit House for 250 Simoleons or visit one at Sungai Point or Bun Ma’s house in Koh Sahpa. Interact with it to leave either fruit or incense.
If you can’t find a Spirit House in Tomarang, simply buy your own.
How to Use Tomarani Introduction
Greet 3 Sims using the Tomarani Introduction. This new greeting animation is available regardless of your Sim’s location.
There’s a special greeting tied to Tomarang, but any Sim in any world can use it.
How to Meet a Sim With the Child of the Village Trait
Talk to Sims until one reveals they have the Child of the Village trait. Pre-made Sims like Nin Bun Ma and Vanesha Cahyaputri already have it. Alternatively, create your own NPC with the trait.
Some pre-made characters such as Nin Bun Ma carry the Child of the Village trait.
How to Use a Squat Toilet
Use any squat toilet 3 times. These can be found on lots around Tomarang or bought in Buy Mode:
- BlandCo Diddly Squat Toilet – 250 Simoleons
- The Gold Standard Squat Toilet – 370 Simoleons
Squat toilets can be found on Tomarang Lots, or you can buy one.
2. Milestone 2: Culinary Connoisseur
This milestone emphasizes Tomarani cooking and Night Market interactions. Plan carefully to avoid one particular bug that affects aspiration progression.
How to Cook Tomarani Cuisine
Prepare 3 meals from the list of Tomarani dishes. These include:
- Banh Cuon
- Banh Xeo
- Bibingka
- Burmese Samosa Soup
- Halo-Halo
- Khao Niao Mamuang
- Malaysian Satay
- Nasi Lemak
- Pancit Bihon
- Steamed Rice
- Tofu Pad Thai
Use the pressure cooker at least twice here to also progress the fourth task.
Use the pressure cooker to not only make Tomarani dishes, but fulfil another task.
How to Buy a Shirt From the Night Market
Visit the Night Market in the Morensong district between 6 PM and 2 AM. At the goods stall, buy either:
- Striped Shirt
- Layered Halter
Important: Only do this after reaching Milestone 2, or the task will not count.
How to Fix the Night Market Shirt Bug
If you purchased both shirts before Milestone 2, the game won’t register the task. To fix this:
- Household Reset: Move your Sim into a new household to refresh clothing availability.

How to Buy Food at the Night Market
Purchase 3 meals from the food stalls at the Night Market. Avoid buying harvestables or produce — only cooked food counts.
There’s lots of food to eat at the Night Market stalls.
How to Use a Pressure Cooker
Buy the Grace Under Pressure Cooker for 250 Simoleons. Prepare 2 dishes using the cooker:
- Ensure there’s a free counter nearby
- Select a meal and prep the ingredients
- Sim places food in the cooker and starts the timer
- Wait for beep and change of light
- Release Steam before grabbing a serving
Poor quality food does not need to be eaten to complete the task.

3. Milestone 3: Explorer Extraordinaire

Where to Find Unique Tassels
Buy different tassels from the Night Market goods stall or search these areas:
- Beaches of Koh Sahpa
- Sulea Tiger Sanctuary
- The cave near The Screaming Gecko
You need 3 unique tassels to complete the task.
Collected tassels can be found in your Sim’s inventory.
Where to Find the Cave in Tomarang
Travel to the beach across from The Screaming Gecko in Koh Sapha. There you’ll find the cave entrance. Explore it once. Use Shift + Teleport Here with cheats enabled to save time.
The cave can be difficult to locate if you’re unfamiliar with the place. Look for a big body of water and a beach.
How to Visit the Sulea Tiger Sanctuary
Cross the bridge near The Screaming Gecko to enter the Sulea Tiger Sanctuary. Select “Explore” to fulfill the task. Optional: Donate or adopt a tiger for bonus items.
There are a few things you can do at the Tiger Sanctuary. For now, you just need to explore it.
Where to Find the Statue of Khun Mae and the Tiger
Right next to the Tiger Sanctuary is the statue. Interact with it to “View” and finish the aspiration.
The Tiger Statue is next to the Tiger Sanctuary in some formal gardens.
5. Reward for Completing Fount of Tomarani Knowledge
Completing the aspiration grants your Sim the Tomarang Expert reward trait, which improves:
- Success rate with Tomarani meals
- Chance to find tassels
- Relationship gains with Child of the Village Sims
- Exploration outcomes in the Tiger Sanctuary and Beard Beard Cove
