Before starting, set up your Sim for a smoother playthrough by picking the right traits and home location.
- Live in Sulani — Not required, but reduces travel and helps with several aspiration tasks.
- Recommended Trait: Loves the Outdoors — You’ll spend most of your time outside in Sulani.
- Buy a Kava Bowl — Needed for a Kava Party later on.
- Build Relationships — You’ll need guests for your Kava Party.
3. Milestone 1: Tourist
Your Sim is new to Sulani and needs to complete basic tasks like sunbathing and socializing. One of the most challenging goals happens here: earning Gold in a Kava Party.
How to Get a Suntan in Sulani
- Place a Beach Towel, Lounge Chair, or Float Lounger on the beach.
- Click it and select Sunbathe.
- Choose swimwear, everyday clothes, or nude.
- Click your Sim and select Apply Sunburn Protection to avoid sunburn.
- Wait for the Sun Kissed moodlet to appear. Once it does, cancel the action. Your Sim now has a tan.

How to Earn Gold at a Kava Party
- Buy a Kava Bowl from Kitchen Appliances and place it on a counter.
- Plan a Social Event on your Sim’s phone and select Kava Party (Goals & Rewards enabled).
- Invite at least 3 guests. The more the better.
- Buy a Stereo to complete the dancing task.
- Start the party and click the Kava Bowl to Prepare Kava (costs §18 unless you have Kava Roots).
To reach Gold, complete tasks such as:
- Call to Grab Drink (invite guests to drink kava).
- Kava Toast from the Friendly menu.
- Make a Group Meal and Tell Jokes.
- Have 3 Sims Dance at the same time.
- Buy a Kava Bowl. A Kava Party is named after the local Sulani consumable your Sims can drink out of a special bowl. You can purchase a Kava Bowl for §100 in the Buy Catalog under Kitchen Appliances. To use it, you must place it in the center of a countertop.
- Befriend at least 3 Sims. If you’re doing this Aspiration in a brand-new household with no established relationships with anyone outside the household, go out and introduce yourself to at least 3 different Sims. Head to a community lot like the beach or bar where lots of Sims mingle.
- Buy a stereo. With parties, one task is to get other Sims dancing to music, and for that you need a stereo.
- The Kava Bowl can be found under Kitchen Appliances in the Buy Catalog.
- Make sure the Kava Bowl is placed in the middle of a counter, otherwise it can’t be interacted with.
- When selecting Kava Party, make sure Goals and Rewards is checked.
- Unless you have Kava Roots, it costs 18 Simoleons to make Kava.
- Use the interaction Call to Grab Drink if you want your guests to drink Kava.
- To make a toast, your Sims need to be drinking Kava first.

- Ideal for passive Sim lifestyles or beach-focused storytelling.
Finishing this aspiration also means your Sim has experienced everything Sulani has to offer — from Kava Parties and treasure diving to sunbathing and grilling food by the beach.
