The Peculiar Plumbird is one of the most mysterious creatures in the The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack, hiding clues and secrets all over Gibbi Point. By completing its unique series of Adventure Quests, your Sim can uncover the bird’s origins, meet new locals, and earn Simoleons along the way. This guide explains how to start every Peculiar Plumbird quest, where to find key evidence, and how to unlock the final SUPERHUG! interaction that concludes the storyline.
How to Start the Plumbird Quests
Starting the Peculiar Plumbird quests correctly ensures objectives appear in the Careers panel.
To begin a Plumbird quest, do the following:
- Locate the Adventure Story Map in Jellyfish Junction and select Dig Your Talons Into Peculiar Plumbird Lore. You can do the same at the Peculiar Plumbird’s Nest in Crystal Valley.
- Select a quest from the list, then choose Confirm.
- The quest will now be added to the Careers panel.
You can have up to two Plumbird quests active at a time. You can cancel a quest anytime via the trash icon, and return to it later via the Story Map. There is no time limit to Plumbird quests. For each quest you complete, you earn 50 Simoleons.
- You can access the quest list via the Adventure Story Map or Plumbird’s Nest.
- Select a quest to get started.
1. How to Complete the Feeding Frenzy Quest
The Feeding Frenzy quest happens in Crystal Valley. You’ll Investigate Plumbird Evidence, rehome a butterfly or moth, catch a fish, and then Deliver Fish to Bird for your reward.
How to Search and Investigate Plumbird Evidence in Crystal Valley
Travel to Crystal Valley. Look across the bridge toward the gazebo; up on a cliff behind it, beyond some trees, is a Plumbird Fossil. Select it and choose Investigate Plumbird Evidence to clear this task.
If you have trouble locating the fossil, select the tourist information center in town and use Focus Camera On > Plumbird Fossil.
How to Discuss Plumbird Evidence With Gibbi Point Locals
After investigating, find any Sim in Gibbi Point and use Discuss Plumbird Evidence. Notable NPCs you can speak to include:
- Camp Director Nigel Chavez-Ralston
- Lost Adventurer Raheel Kunal
- Butterfly Conservationist Laxmi Kunal
- Storyteller Toshie Akamine
You can also visit any occupied residential lots in Gibbi Point and use the same interaction there.
How to Rehome a Butterfly or Moth
Butterflies and moths are unique collectibles in Gibbi Point. For this task, catch a butterfly or moth (if you haven’t already), then rehome it at a Butterfly/Moth Topiary.
To complete this quickly:
- If you haven’t caught one yet, try Jellyfish Junction: Cordelian Butterflies appear in the day; Goliath Silk Moths appear at night.
- Find a Butterfly Topiary in any neighborhood. In Crystal Valley, one sits near the gazebo (use the tourist center’s Focus Camera On to locate it).
- Select the topiary and choose Rehome Butterfly or Rehome Moth, depending on your inventory.
- Select any butterfly or moth from the list to rehome it.
How to Catch a Delicious Fish
Fish at any spot in Gibbi Point. In Crystal Valley, use the stream-side spot or head to the Electric Lagoon. Catch one fish of any type to complete this step.

If you go fishing at Electric Lagoon and catch a fish, you can hand it right over to the Plumbird in the next task.
How to Deliver Fish to Peculiar Plumbird
Find the Peculiar Plumbird in Crystal Valley — typically near the nest (hidden among trees by the gazebo and topiary; use Focus Camera On at the tourist center to locate it) or at the Electric Lagoon. Select the Plumbird and choose Deliver Fish to Bird to finish Feeding Frenzy.
Completing Feeding Frenzy rewards 50 Simoleons and advances the Peculiar Plumbird storyline.

- The Electric Lagoon looks very pretty after interacting with the glowworm.
How to Search For and Investigate Plumbird Evidence in Jellyfish Junction
In Jellyfish Junction, look for Plumbird tracks or a fossil along the path to the lighthouse. If you’re struggling, start at the lighthouse and work backward along the path. Use Investigate Plumbird Evidence on either the tracks or the fossil.
