The Sims 4 Adventure Awaits - How to Complete All Adventure Quests

Gibbi Point, the world shipped with The Sims 4: Adventure Awaits Expansion Pack, features multiple Adventure Quests that reveal local lore across three neighborhoods. You’ll meet Storyteller Toshie Akamine and Butterfly Conservationist Laxmi Kunal, complete location-based tasks, and update the Adventure Story Map. Rewards are minimal; the focus is on exploration and story. This guide covers all Adventure Quests in Gibbi Point and does not include the Plumbird questline, which will be covered separately.

1. How to Start an Adventure Quest in Gibbi Point

This section explains how to begin Adventure Quests, who the quest-givers are, and what rewards you earn. It matters because knowing where to go and what to expect avoids backtracking and lets you plan visits to Jellyfish Junction, Wanderwood Wilds, and Crystal Valley efficiently.

  1. Select Inquire About Adventure Quests on Storyteller Toshie Akamine (found at the docks in Jellyfish Junction) or on Butterfly Conservationist Laxmi Kunal (in Wanderwood Wilds near the Ranger’s Station).
  2. Choose a quest from the menu and select Confirm to begin. The new quest appears in the Career panel.

All Gibbi Point Adventure Quests and Quest Givers

There are four Adventure Quests in Adventure Awaits. Toshie offers three quests; Laxmi offers one. Quests are repeatable after completion.

As you work through the quests, the Notebook will be updated.

2. How to Complete Melody of the Geyser Quest

One of three quests from Storyteller Toshie. It’s the quickest because it does not require waiting for festivals or special events. Complete the steps in Jellyfish Junction and Wanderwood Wilds.

Steps to Complete “Melody of the Geyser”

  1. In Jellyfish Junction, select ToshieListen to the Story of the Melody of the Geyser.
  2. Travel to Wanderwood Wilds and at the Ranger’s Station choose Investigate Ranger Station for Geyser Information.
  3. Use Focus On… at the Ranger’s Station if needed to locate the Hothead Rock Geyser. Near it is a large circular boulder; select Investigate Boulder.
  4. After investigating, use the new interaction Smack Boulder!
  5. Return to Jellyfish Junction and at the Adventure Story Map select Investigate Story Map.

Quest Conclusion

Upon completing the final task, the quest disappears from the Career panel and you receive 50 Simoleons. You can then Update Story Map with Learnings from Melody of the Geyser. After finishing this quest, you can also capture Red Admiral Butterflies near the boulder in Wanderwood Wilds for the Gibbi Point Butterflies and Moths Collection.

3. How to Complete Neighborhood Adventure Quest

Another quest from Storyteller Toshie. This is the most time-consuming because several tasks are tied to unique times or events, including the Glow and Flow Festival and nighttime interactions in Crystal Valley.

Steps to Complete “Neighborhood Adventure”

  1. Participate in a Special Swim during the Glow and Flow Festival at Underlight Bay in Jellyfish Junction:
    • The festival occurs on a New Moon between 7pm and 2am. Check the Calendar to see the lunar cycle (default is 8 days). If desired, change Game Options > Environment > Lunar Cycle to 4 or 2 days.
    • On the New Moon evening, travel to the festival (or select Go to Festival from the pop-up). The water glows neon blue.
    • Select the glowing water and choose one of: Aura Swim, Focus Swim, Romantic Swim, or Influence Swim.
  2. Gather any Gibbi Point Harvestable or Collectible. You only need one:
    • Butterflies or Moths (swarming around Gibbi Point)
    • Frogs (hiding in logs)
    • Crystals (dug from rocks)
    • Fish (from any fishing spot)
    • Harvestable plants (from wild plants in Gibbi Point)
  3. At night in Crystal Valley, around the Electric Lagoon:
    • Touch Glowworms (blue lights in the foliage) to illuminate the lagoon.
    • Select the water’s edge to Pan for Crystals.
    • Select the water to Neon Jellyfish Swim.
  4. In Wanderwood Wilds, go to the Hothead Rock Geyser and Watch Geyser Blow:
    • Keep your Sim close; eruptions occur every several hours. Tend needs in advance and consider Bask in Geyser’s Glory while waiting.

Quest Conclusion

After completing the tasks, return to the Adventure Story Map in Jellyfish Junction and Update Story Map with Learnings about Neighborhood Adventure.

4. How to Complete Secrets of the Town Quest

The third quest from Storyteller Toshie. It has the most tasks but they are straightforward. You’ll visit all three neighborhoods and speak with unique NPCs, including the Peculiar Plumbird.

Steps to Complete “Secrets of the Town”

  1. In Wanderwood Wilds, near the Old Firewatch Tower, look along dirt paths for bootprints and select Investigate Bootprints.
  2. Find the Peculiar Plumbird in Crystal Valley near its nest by the Electric Lagoon. Interact with any of:
    • Greet Bird Creature
    • Ask Bird About Self
    • Share Feelings
    • SUPERHUG! (available only after completing all Plumbird quests)
  3. Ask About Adventure Markings with any of:
    • Storyteller Toshie (Jellyfish Junction)
    • Camp Director Nigel (Wanderwood Wilds: home lot or Camp Gibbi Gibbi)
    • Lost Adventurer Raheel (Wanderwood Wilds)

You can perform this immediately with Toshie after starting the quest.

  4. Ask About Great Adventurers twice. You can complete both interactions with Toshie.
  5. In Jellyfish Junction, find the town square replica and select Investigate Jellyfish Junction Town Model.
  6. Return to the Adventure Story Map in Jellyfish Junction and Investigate.

Quest Conclusion

After finishing the final task, use Update Story Map with Learnings from Secrets of the Town. You also unlock two interactions with Gibbi Point locals: Ask about Town Gossip and Bring Up Secret Gossip.

5. What to Do After Completing All Adventure Story Quests

When all three Storyteller quests are complete and the map is fully updated, a new interaction appears at the Adventure Story Map: View Completed Story Map. Using it grants the Great Adventurer Moodlet, giving a Confident mood boost for 5 hours.

View Completed Map.

By viewing the finished map, you gain a Confident Moodlet.

6. How to Complete Raise a Butterfly Quest

The sole quest from the Butterfly Conservationist (Laxmi Kunal), found around Wanderwood Wilds near the Ranger’s Station. It teaches you how to use the Flutterarium Caterpillar Incubator.

Steps to Complete “Raise a Butterfly”

  1. Speak to the Butterfly Conservationist and select Talk About Raising Butterflies.
  2. At the Ranger’s Station, select Purchase Goods and buy a Flutterarium Caterpillar Incubator for 15 Simoleons (this step is required even if you already own one).
  3. On your home lot, place the Caterpillar Incubator on a tabletop surface and select Start Raising a Caterpillar. Choose any Butterfly or Moth (availability depends on your Entomology Skill).
  4. Wait a few days while tending the incubator (e.g., Feed) until the caterpillar transforms. Then select Gather Butterfly or Moth to add it to your Inventory.
  5. Return to the Butterfly Conservationist and select Talk About Experience Raising a Butterfly to complete the quest.
