How to Use the Nature Press in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature

Nature Pressing is a creative crafting activity introduced in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack. Sims can turn harvested plants into decorative items using a Nature Pressing Kit. This activity doesn’t require any skills, making it ideal for quick crafting, gifting, and earning Simoleons. This guide explains how to start Nature Pressing, what you can craft, where to find ingredients, and how to profit from it.

1. How to Start Nature Pressing

To begin Nature Pressing, purchase a Nature Press from Build Mode under Activities & Skills. The Nature Press costs 450 Simoleons.

The Nature Press can be placed on either a surface such as a desk or dining table, complete with a chair so Sims can sit while using the press. It can also be placed and used on the ground.

Nature Press Interactions

  • Decorate Items with Florals: Craft a normal Nature Press item.
  • Decorate Enchanted Items with Florals: Same as above, but uses 1 Fairy Dust for an enchanted version.
  • Purchase Ingredients: Opens a menu to buy herbs, flowers, vegetables, and berries.
  • Put in Inventory: Move the Nature Press into your Sim’s inventory for portable use.

When creating items with the Nature Press, they can be Normal or Enchanted.

How to Craft Items

  1. Select the Nature Press and choose Decorate.
  2. Pick a recipe and ensure you have the required ingredients and Simoleons.
  3. Your Sim will sit and begin crafting.
  4. The completed item will appear in your Sim’s Inventory.

Enchanted vs. Normal Items

There are no visual differences between Normal and Enchanted crafts. However, Enchanted items offer a gameplay effect:

  • Portraits: Emit a Happy Moodlet when Emotional Aura is Enabled.
  • Candles: Emit a Flirty Moodlet.

Enchanted Nature Press creations have an additional feature of influencing a Sim’s Emotion.

No Skills Required

Nature Pressing requires no skill to use, and there is no associated Nature Press skill. All 15 recipes are unlocked from the start. As long as you have the correct ingredients and Simoleons, you can begin crafting immediately.

2. All Nature Press Recipes

You can craft 10 portraits and 5 candles using flowers, herbs, fruits, vegetables, and berries. Every Enchanted recipe uses the same ingredients as its Normal version, with the addition of 1 Fairy Dust.

Fairy Dust can be found by foraging, shaking Fairy Homes, or asking Fairies. Sims who themselves are Fairies can brush off Fairy Dust or get rations at the Fairy Hub.

Nature Press recipes require flowers, vegetables, berries, fruits, and herbs. All ingredients must be in your Sim’s Inventory to craft. You cannot begin a craft with even one item missing.

  • Garden Shop (Henford-on-Bagley) – Requires The Sims 4 Cottage Living.
  • Flower Shop (Ciudad Enamorada) – Requires The Sims 4 Lovestruck.

Players using The Sims 4 Seasons may need to buy ingredients that are out of season and unavailable for harvesting.
