Nature Pressing is a creative crafting activity introduced in The Sims 4 Enchanted by Nature Expansion Pack. Sims can turn harvested plants into decorative items using a Nature Pressing Kit. This activity doesn’t require any skills, making it ideal for quick crafting, gifting, and earning Simoleons. This guide explains how to start Nature Pressing, what you can craft, where to find ingredients, and how to profit from it.
1. How to Start Nature Pressing
To begin Nature Pressing, purchase a Nature Press from Build Mode under Activities & Skills. The Nature Press costs 450 Simoleons.
The Nature Press can be placed on either a surface such as a desk or dining table, complete with a chair so Sims can sit while using the press. It can also be placed and used on the ground.
Nature Press Interactions
- Decorate Items with Florals: Craft a normal Nature Press item.
- Decorate Enchanted Items with Florals: Same as above, but uses 1 Fairy Dust for an enchanted version.
- Purchase Ingredients: Opens a menu to buy herbs, flowers, vegetables, and berries.
- Put in Inventory: Move the Nature Press into your Sim’s inventory for portable use.
How to Craft Items
- Select the Nature Press and choose Decorate.
- Pick a recipe and ensure you have the required ingredients and Simoleons.
- Your Sim will sit and begin crafting.
- The completed item will appear in your Sim’s Inventory.
Enchanted vs. Normal Items
There are no visual differences between Normal and Enchanted crafts. However, Enchanted items offer a gameplay effect:
- Portraits: Emit a Happy Moodlet when Emotional Aura is Enabled.
- Candles: Emit a Flirty Moodlet.
No Skills Required
Nature Pressing requires no skill to use, and there is no associated Nature Press skill. All 15 recipes are unlocked from the start. As long as you have the correct ingredients and Simoleons, you can begin crafting immediately.
Any Sim who is a Child or older can use the Nature Press. They just need the right ingredients and money.
2. All Nature Press Recipes
You can craft 10 portraits and 5 candles using flowers, herbs, fruits, vegetables, and berries. Every Enchanted recipe uses the same ingredients as its Normal version, with the addition of 1 Fairy Dust.
Fairy Dust can be found by foraging, shaking Fairy Homes, or asking Fairies. Sims who themselves are Fairies can brush off Fairy Dust or get rations at the Fairy Hub.
