You can create a new Fairy directly in Create-A-Sim without playing through the transformation process.

- Enter Create-A-Sim.
- Open the menu showing Traits and Aspiration.
- Select the Occult picker above the Traits menu.
- Choose Fairy.
Your Sim is now a Fairy. You can customize their wings and decide whether their Fairy Form and Non-Fairy Form look the same or appear differently.

2. How to Become a Fairy in The Sims 4 Gameplay

Completing research triggers a pop-up with instructions for becoming a Fairy.

2.2. How to Ask a Fairy How to Become a Fairy
Another way is speaking directly with a Fairy Sim. Follow these steps:
- Travel to Innisgreen, where many Fairies appear. Look for Sims floating or with visible wings.
- Select the Fairy, then choose Fairy > Social > Ask How to Become a Fairy.
Talking to a Fairy often lets your Sim request or receive a Fairy Seedling immediately, speeding up the transformation process.
Approach any Fairy in The Sims 4 and Ask How to Become a Fairy.
2.3. How to Get a Fairy Seedling
Your Sim needs a Fairy Seedling to summon Mother Nature, an essential step in the transformation. You can obtain a Fairy Seedling by:
- Asking a Fairy after learning how to become a Fairy under Fairy > Social > Ask for Fairy Seedling.
- Receiving one as a gift during the initial conversation with a Fairy.
- Ordering it on a computer under Order > Purchase Fairy Seedling for 379 Simoleons.
- Finding one through Foraging, with increased chances if your Sim has Good Luck.
- Completing certain Fables for Fabulists in Innisgreen, such as the task Deliver the News for Joe Trader the Tradesperson.

Next, your Sim must plant the Fairy Seedling to summon Mother Nature.

- Select any terrain, empty Garden Pot, or empty Planter Box, then choose Plant Fairy Seedling. Note: You cannot plant it directly from your Sim’s Inventory like other seeds in The Sims 4.
- Wait for your Sim to complete the planting. After a moment, the plant will sprout briefly and then vanish. Mother Nature will appear nearby.

- The Fairy Seedling must be planted via a Garden Pot, Planter Box, or on the ground.

- Upon planting the Fairy Seedling, Mother Nature will appear.
2.5. How to Ask for Mother Nature’s Charm
When Mother Nature appears, select her and choose Ask for Mother Nature’s Charm. This grants your Sim the blessing required for the final Fairy transformation.

2.6. How to Complete the Fairy Transformation
After receiving Mother Nature’s Charm, your Sim has 24 hours to travel to Moondrop Springs in Everdew, Innisgreen.
Moondrop Springs is located close to Mossveil Fairy Hub.
To complete the transformation:
- Travel to Moondrop Springs, located near the Mossveil Fairy Hub. Look for a large pond beside a cliff.
- Click the water and choose Become a Fairy. Your Sim will step into the pond and transform into a Fairy.

- At the Springs, your Sim will transform into a Fairy, complete with brand-new wings!
3. What Happens After Becoming a Fairy
Once transformed, your Sim becomes a Fairy with new abilities and gameplay systems. You can customize your Sim’s Fairy Form and Non-Fairy Form appearances in Create-A-Sim, including different wings.
As a Fairy:
- Your Sim loses Hunger and Bladder Needs, replaced by a unique Emotional Force need.
- New Fairy socials and interactions become available.
- Your Sim gains access to the Fairy Ability Tree, where you can unlock powers using Fairy Experience points earned through Fairy activities.

4. How to Stop Being a Fairy in The Sims 4
If your Sim decides they no longer want to be a Fairy, they can revert to a Non-Occult Sim. The process is similar to becoming a Fairy, but in reverse.
Follow these steps:
- Research How to Become Non-Occult at a bookshelf, computer, or the Mossveil Fairy Hub. Alternatively, ask another Fairy. You can skip this step if you already have a Fairy Seedling.
- Obtain a Fairy Seedling by asking a Fairy, foraging, completing specific Fables, or ordering one on the computer.
- Plant the Fairy Seedling in a Garden Pot, Planter Box, or on terrain to summon Mother Nature.
- Select Mother Nature and choose Ask to Remove Fairy Essence. She will extract your Sim’s Emotional Force and place it into a bottle.
- Travel to Moondrop Springs within 24 hours. Click the pond and choose Remove Fairy Essence.
After completing these steps, your Sim returns to normal. Their Hunger and Bladder Needs will return, and they’ll lose access to Fairy Abilities and the Fairy Ability Tree.
Important Tip: If you begin the process to revert but change your mind, simply let the 24-hour window expire, or drink the bottled Emotional Force to remain a Fairy.
