The Sims 4 Reaper’s Rewards Event Week 5 Guide

In Week 5 of The Sims 4's Reaper's Rewards Event, which this guide will take you through, your Sim must acquire the final ingredient needed for making Ambrosia: the Potion of Youth. Your Sim will also be expected to max out their Cooking skill, as well as their Gourmet Cooking skill.

The Sims 4 Reaper's Rewards Event Week 5 Guide

The Sims 4‘s Reaper’s Rewards Event will soon be drawing to a close, with just two weeks of quests and tasks left to do. Week 5 doesn’t have a huge list of tasks to do in comparison to previous weeks, but by no means you will be resting on your laurels. For this week, your main task is to get the third and final ingredient for Ambrosia: the Potion of Youth. Getting this is a lot easier than an Angelfish or the Death Flower, providing you have plenty of Satisfaction Points stacked up. Also, your Sim will be busy in the kitchen, mastering their Cooking as well as their Gourmet Cooking skill. Let’s walk you through the fifth week of the Reaper’s Rewards Event in The Sims 4 so your Sim will be well-prepared for finally making that Ambrosia dish.

Make sure to read our guides to the previous four weeks of the Reaper’s Rewards Event:

An Inspiring Potion Quest Walkthrough

Total Quest Event Points: 600

The first quest of Week 5 of The Sims 4‘s Reaper’s Rewards Event focuses on your Sim obtaining the third and final ingredient needed to make Ambrosia. This ingredient is the Potion of Youth. It’s very easy to get, unlike the other two ingredients. However, you’ll first need to make sure your Sim hasn’t been neglecting their Wants and Aspirational Goals to get those all-important Satisfaction Points. Let’s take a closer look at what you need to do.

Complete a Want

Event Points: +45

In previous quests, some tasks have asked your Sim to complete an Aspirational Goal, which can sometimes be a big ask, depending on the Aspiration. For this quest though, they’ve made it a little easier for you. For this task, you just need to complete a Want. It can be any Want you like, no matter how easy or hard. It can be anything as simple as talking to another Sim, levelling up a skill, getting a promotion, your Sim listening to their favorite music station, etc. Just as long as it’s a Want and it gets fulfilled, you’ll complete this task.

If you can’t see the Wants above your Sim’s portrait, make sure that Wants are turned on. Go into your game settings, look under Gameplay, and make sure that Show Wants & Fears is enabled.

Complete any Want you wish to fulfil the task. Even something as simple as Enthusing About the Outdoors with another Sim.

Purchase a Potion of Youth

Event Points: +45

Your second task is to obtain the third and final ingredient for Ambrosia, which is the Potion of Youth. This is a very powerful potion that can reset a Sim’s current life stage, giving them extra time in life. There is only one place you can get this, and it’s from the Reward Store under the Aspiration panel. Now doing all those Aspirational Goals and Wants makes sense. The Potion of Youth isn’t the most expensive reward item in the store, but it isn’t cheap either. It’ll cost your Sim 1,500 of their hard-earned Satisfaction Points. Hopefully, they’ll have been building these up over time. If your Sim can afford it, go ahead and buy it. It will then appear in their Inventory, ready to be used – but make sure you don’t use it! Keep it safe until Week 6, when you make the Ambrosia.

At 1,500 Satisfaction Points, the Potion of Youth may seem cheap compared to some of the more expensive rewards.

An Inspiring Potion Quest Conclusion

And… that’s it. Yep. All you need to do in this quest is complete any Want and then buy the Potion of Youth from the Reward Store… and you’re officially done. This quest seems ridiculously short, but it is very important. Thanks to this short-but-sweet quest, you now have the final ingredient needed to make Ambrosia. Just make sure your Sim’s Cooking skills are up to par.

With the Potion of Youth, you should now have all the ingredients for making Ambrosia.

Skilled Chef Quest Walkthrough

Total Quest Event Points: 550

The second quest of the Reaper’s Rewards Event in The Sims 4 makes sure that your Sim has mastered their Cooking skill. Since the beginning of the event, the Cooking and Gourmet Cooking skills have been emphasized as being really important. Very soon, they’ll be making Ambrosia, which they won’t be able to do if their Cooking skills are somewhat slacking. This quest, like the one above, has few tasks, but they are key to completing the event.

Wait for the Ambrosia Society Newsletter

Event Points: +15

If you’ve been playing through the previous weeks and quests of the Reaper’s Rewards Event, this task should be familiar to you by now. Just wait for the newsletter to arrive in the post as always. Remember that if you don’t want to wait and don’t mind spending a bit of money, you can expedite the mail delivery by paying 103 Simoleons, either via the mailbox or your Sim’s phone through the Home app.

Don't get fed up of waiting. You can always speed up the newsletter's delivery.

Read the Ambrosia Society Newsletter

Event Points: +25

When the ASN eventually arrives, your next step is to retrieve it from the mailbox. Once in your Sim’s Inventory, make sure to read it. There’s not really much in this week’s edition. It’s just a reminder for your Sim to hone in on their Cooking and Gourmet Cooking skills. Remember that you need them maxed out to make Ambrosia.

It's always good to see the post deliverer during the Reaper's Rewards Event.

Cook a Recipe While Level 10

Event Points: +35

With the arrival of this task, your Sim’s Cooking skills are put to the test. Hopefully by now, your Sim is a master chef and can easily rustle up a good meal. If not… you’ve got some catching up to do.

In the previous week (Week 4), you needed to make a meal with a Cooking skill of level 7 or higher, so at this point, your Sim’s Cooking skill should be no lower than that. In that case, it shouldn’t take long to max out the Cooking skill. The best thing to do is to get busy cooking in the kitchen. It doesn’t matter what it is, so long as it builds the Cooking skill. Reading skill books and watching the cooking channel on TV doesn’t hurt to boost your Sim’s skill either.

Not a master of cooking yet? You'd better send your Sim to the kitchen then!

Cook a Gourmet Cooking Recipe While Level 7 or Higher

Event Points: +45

Not only do you have to cook a meal while at max Cooking skill, but you’re also asked to cook a gourmet meal with a Gourmet Cooking skill of no less than level 7. This task is gearing you up for the big moment in the final week, when you make that all-important Ambrosia. If your Gourmet Cooking skill isn’t at level 7 yet, make sure you get on with practicing in the kitchen. Even after you complete this particular task, you should keep working on your Gourmet Cooking until it is maxed out like the Cooking skill.

Skilled Chef Quest Conclusion

This quest was a little longer than the first, but nonetheless just as important. Without the required Cooking skills, that Ambrosia is still out of reach. Your Cooking skill will be maxed out now, but don’t neglect the Gourmet Cooking skill. If it’s still only at level 7, get cracking with maxing it out. You’ll be grateful for your efforts next week when you need it to make Ambrosia.

Don’t think you won’t be rewarded for your efforts this week in the Reaper’s Rewards Event. For getting that final Ambrosia ingredient and maxing out your Sim’s Cooking skill, they’ll receive some goodies. One of these includes a spooktacular blouse that will look good on anyone and really get you into the spirit of the event. Plus, you’ll want your Sims looking the part when they finally make Ambrosia.

Note that for the Spectral Spritzer drinks recipe reward, your Sim will need to have a Mixology skill level of 6 before they can make it.

Week 5 of Reaper’s Rewards Event Conclusion

Before Week 6 comes around, make sure you have maxed out the Gourmet Cooking skill. It’ll save you a lot of time so you can focus on making Ambrosia and completing not just the last two quests, but the entire event.

Stay tuned for Week 6 of the Reaper’s Rewards Event, which will begin on October 29th. In the final week, you’ll finally be getting to make Ambrosia. All your hard work will have built up to this. Plus, you’ll unlock the final rewards in the event. See you then!
