The Sims 4 Forever Friends Event continues into Week 2 with two new quests: The Lens of Imagination and Shattered Visions. This week’s focus is on photography, exploring new locations, and interacting with your stuffed animal companion. There are also five new event rewards to unlock, one of which must be used during the first quest. This guide covers every reward, both quests, and the optional Cats & Dogs Expansion tasks so you can finish Week 2 without missing anything.
1. All Rewards for Forever Friends Week 2
Week 2 of the Forever Friends Event in The Sims 4 introduces five unlockable rewards. These can be found in Build/Buy Mode or Create-A-Sim, and filtered under the Event Rewards category for easy access.
- Modern Photo Frame – §200, available in Portrait and Landscape designs. Found under Decorations > Misc. Must be placed on a surface.
- Flex & Form Top – Found in Create-A-Sim (Feminine category). Same style as the Spa Day top with new swatches.
- Glimmerbrook Magnet – §25. Added to Inventory. Also found under Decorations > Misc. Can be displayed on a magnet board. References The Sims 4 Realm of Magic.
- Super Chill Pillow – §100. Found under Decorations. Comes in five unique designs.
- Comedy Skill Book Vol. 1 – Free book automatically added to your Sim’s Inventory.

2. How to Complete “The Lens of Imagination” Quest
The first Week 2 quest introduces photography with your stuffed animal companion. There are no optional tasks here, but you’ll unlock your first event reward: the Modern Photo Frame.
Where to Buy a Camera
You need a camera before starting. Buy one in the Buy Catalog > Hobbies & Skills. Available base game cameras include:
- Barely Better Digital Camera – §85 (cheapest)
- Appreciably Average Digital Camera – §670
- Crystal Clear Digital Camera – §2,015 (most expensive)
Photo quality does not matter for these tasks, so the cheapest option is fine.
You don’t need an expensive camera for this quest (or the next).
How to Take an Imaginative Photo of a Stuffed Animal at Home
- Drag the new camera into your Sim’s Inventory.
- Select a stuffed animal companion on your lot and choose Take an Imaginative Photo.
- Enter photo mode and capture at least one shot.
- Exit the camera to complete the task.
Take a photo of your stuffed friend.
How to Ask a Stuffed Animal About Cameras
Click on the stuffed animal companion and select Ask About Cameras.
Look for the Forever Friends icon on interactions when completing tasks.
How to Purchase a Modern Photo Frame
- Open the Forever Friends Event screen using the event icon.
- Select Claim All to unlock the Modern Photo Frame.
- Enter Build/Buy Mode and place the frame from Decorations > Misc.
It doesn’t matter if you go with a portrait or landscape frame.
How to Add a Photo to a Modern Photo Frame
- In Live Mode, select the Modern Photo Frame and choose Manage Photo Inventory.
- Expand your Sim’s photo inventory and drag one into the frame’s inventory.
- The chosen image will now display in the frame, completing the task.

- Access the frame’s photo inventory via Manage Photo Inventory.

- Drag any photo into the frame’s inventory to display it.

- Your new photo should now be displayed in the frame.
How to Pick Up a Stuffed Animal
Select the stuffed animal companion and choose Put in Inventory, or drag it manually into your Inventory.
By “pick up”, it means put in inventory.
How to Travel to a Park
- Open your Sim’s phone and choose Travel.
- Select a lot labeled Park. Base game examples include Magnolia Blossom Park in Willow Creek or Desert Bloom Park in Oasis Springs.
Head to the park with your stuffed friend and camera.
How to Take an Imaginative Selfie with a Stuffed Animal at a Park
- Place the stuffed animal companion on the ground using Place in World.
- Select it and choose Take an Imaginative Selfie.
- Capture at least one photo, then exit the camera.
This completes The Lens of Imagination. After a short pause, Shattered Visions will begin automatically.
Place your stuffed animal somewhere in the park and then take a photo of it.
3. How to Complete “Shattered Visions” Quest
This second Week 2 quest continues immediately, focusing on more stuffed animal companion interactions and exploration. It also introduces optional tasks for players with the Cats & Dogs Expansion. Complete those before the final task, or they will be lost.
How to Pick Up the Stuffed Animal
Drag the stuffed animal companion into your Inventory, or select it and choose Put in Inventory before leaving the park.
Optional: How to Adopt a Cat
- Return home using Go Home from your Sim’s portrait.
- On your phone or computer, select Adopt a Cat under Household options.
- Choose a cat, confirm, and wait for the adoption agent.
- Interact with the cat, then confirm adoption for §200.

- When you’re sure, select Adopt to finalize the process.

- You have a new furry friend as well as a stuffed friend.
Optional: How to Play with Cat Using Laser Pointer
Select your new cat and choose Play with Laser Pointer. Wait until the interaction completes.
Cats do enjoy playing with laser pointers, and it’s a great way to bond with your new pet.
How to Travel to Foundry Cove
- Ensure you have your stuffed animal companion and camera in Inventory.
- Use the phone > Travel menu and select Willow Creek.
- Choose the Crick Cabana lot in Foundry Cove and confirm. This is where you’ll find the special tree that leads to Sylvan Glade.

How to View the Tree 6 Times
Select the distinctive tree behind Crick Cabana and choose View six times until the task completes.
The special tree is located near Crick Cabana.
How to Chat with the Tree 2 Times
After multiple views, new options appear. Choose Discuss Nature or Compliment Leaves twice.
Interact with the tree enough times and it might reveal a hidden secret.
How to Explore the Tree
- Select the tree and choose Explore.
- Pick the options in order: Follow the Sound > Go Downstream > Enter the Mist > Travel to Glade.
Take the right steps to unlock the hidden area Sylvan Glade.
How to Travel to Sylvan Glade
When prompted, confirm travel to Sylvan Glade. You can also cancel and return later if needed.
You can return to the tree later, or head to Sylvan Glade immediately.
How to Play with a Stuffed Animal in Sylvan Glade
- Place the stuffed animal companion using Place in World.
- Select it and choose Play.
- Wait until your Sim completes the play interaction.
Have fun with your stuffed animal at the Sylvan Glade.
How to Look for Frogs at Sylvan Pond
Select the pond in Sylvan Glade and choose Look for Frogs. Success is not required—the action alone completes the task.
Don’t worry if you come up with nothing when looking for frogs.
How to Take an Imaginative Photo of the Stuffed Animal at Sylvan Glade
- Place the stuffed animal companion on the ground.
- Select Take an Imaginative Photo and capture at least one image.
Time for one final photo.
How to Ask Stuffed Animal About Broken Lens
After the final Sylvan Glade photo, your camera will appear broken. Select the stuffed animal companion and choose Ask About Broken Lens.
Why did the camera lens break? Ask your stuffed friend for advice.
How to Return Home
Click Go Home on your Sim’s portrait or self-interaction. Make sure the stuffed animal companion is back in your Inventory before traveling. This completes Shattered Visions and closes out Week 2.
When playtime is over, it’s time to head home.
4. Forever Friends Week 3 Quests and Release Date
Week 3 of the The Sims 4 Forever Friends Event begins on Tuesday, October 7th at 9 AM PT. It will add two more quests: Desperate Measures and The Lens of Memories. Progress will continue directly from Week 2.
