1. Requirements for the Forever Friends Event in The Sims 4
Set up these basics to finish tasks quickly. Most interactions use a Child Sim and involve Kids’ Activities, toys, and stuffed animals.
- Use a Child Sim for child-focused tasks (activity table, toybox, stuffed toys).
- Two optional tasks in Week 1 require The Sims 4 Businesses & Hobbies Expansion Pack; they are not mandatory for rewards. Complete optional tasks first or they disappear when the quest ends.
- Have these items on the lot: a stuffed animal, an activity table, a toybox, and a television. For optional tasks, you need the Katy Perry Sweet Treats Fabricator 3000 (candy machine).
2. How to Start the Forever Friends Event in The Sims 4
This section covers the exact steps to trigger the event so the first quest loads. It matters because you cannot access Week 1 quests or claim event rewards until the event banner appears in Live Mode.
The Forever Friends Event in The Sims 4 officially started on September 23, 2025 at 12pm PST.
- Log into your EA Account.
- Launch The Sims 4.
- Load an existing save or start a new game.
- Enter Live Mode and unpause time. After a few seconds, a pop-up for the first quest should appear.
If nothing appears, exit to the main menu and reload your save.
Give it a few moments and the first quest should begin. Make sure the Event UI is present and that time is running in Live Mode.
3. All Rewards for Forever Friends Week 1
These seven rewards unlock from completing quest tasks, except for Pixel the Friendly Bear, which you can claim just from logging into your game. Claim each one in the Event Screen to access it in Buy Catalog, Create-a-Sim, or your Sim’s Inventory.
- Pixel the Friendly Bear — Kids > Toys (Buy). Costs §225.
- Magnetic Memories Board — Decorations > Misc (Buy). Supports collectible magnets. Costs §100.
- Willow Creek Magnet — Collectible; appears in Inventory or can be purchased from Buy Catalog.
- Friendship Jelly Bracelets — CAS > Accessories.
- Campfire Spudz — New food recipe for any grill.
- Oasis Springs Magnet — Collectible item.
- Instant Fun Potion — Added to Inventory.

4. How to Complete “A New Journey” Quest
This quest starts shortly after you load into Live Mode. It focuses on buying and interacting with a Stuffed Animal, plus a few simple TV and toybox steps. There are no optional tasks in this quest.
Where to Buy a Stuffed Animal
Open the Buy Catalog > Kids > Toys and purchase any stuffed animal (including Pixel the Friendly Bear after you claim it). Available choices depend on installed packs. Place it on the lot and return to Live Mode to tick the purchase step.
How to Hug a Stuffed Animal
Select the stuffed animal and choose Hug [Stuffed Animal’s Name]. Look for the Forever Friends icon on the interaction.
Welcome your new Stuffed Animal by giving it a friendly hug.
TV Tasks with the Stuffed Animal
These two steps must register properly; keep the stuffed animal close to the TV.
- Place the stuffed animal immediately next to the TV. If it doesn’t register, move it closer and wait a few seconds.
- Select the TV > Watch Channel > Kids Network. Let your Sim watch briefly to complete the step.
Watching kids TV is even better with your favorite stuffed animal.
Toybox Tasks
- Buy a toybox: Kids > Toys (the base game “The Pandora” costs §200).
- Move the stuffed animal next to the toybox. If it doesn’t trigger, nudge it closer.
- Ensure at least one toy is in the toybox (buy from Kids > Toys or purchase directly from the toybox). Then select the toybox > Play With Toy and choose any toy.
The Stuffed Animal will need to be right next to the toybox to register.
Bedtime Tasks
- Drag the stuffed animal near a bed in Live Mode.
- Select the bed and choose Sleep or Take a Nap. After a few seconds, the quest completes.
After moving around the Stuffed Animal several times, it’s no wonder your Sim needs a rest in bed!
5. How to Complete “Friends Forever” Quest
This quest begins shortly after “A New Journey” ends. It mixes everyday needs with Child Sim activities around the Stuffed Animal. Two optional tasks require Businesses & Hobbies and should be done before finishing mandatory steps.
How to Eat Something
Any edible item counts: cooked, baked, or grilled food; quick meals; café/stall/restaurant food; or a consumable harvestable.
You don’t need to cook a meal for this task. Even a quick meal will do.
How to Use the Toilet
Direct your Sim to use any toilet to complete this step.
How to Ask Stuffed Animal About Today’s Adventures
Select the stuffed animal and choose Ask About Today’s Adventures (look for the event icon).
Optional: Where to Purchase the Katy Perry Sweet Treats Fabricator 3000
Buy the candy machine (from Businesses & Hobbies) in the Buy Catalog under Small Appliances. Cost: §300. Place it on a countertop.

- Pick any candy from the list.
- Wait for your Sim to finish.
Candy is available to make even for Sims with no Cooking experience, including Child Sims.
How to Tell an Adult About the Problem
Click a Young Adult (or older) Sim and choose Tell About the Problem (event icon).
How to Draw a Plan
- Child Sim: Buy an activity table (Kids > Kids’ Activities) and select Draw > Plan.
- Older Sim: Use an easel (Activities & Skills > Creative) and select Draw Plan.
For this task, you’ll need an activity table or easel.
Using a Child Sim, select the stuffed animal and choose Share the Plan to finish the quest.
The final task hints at what’s to come in Week 2.
6. Forever Friends Week 2 Quests & Release Date
The next two quests, The Lens of Imagination and Shattered Visions, are scheduled to become available on Tuesday, September 30. Since Week 1 launched at 12pm PT, it’s likely Week 2 will appear at the same time. Based on the quest names and the reveal trailer, these quests look related to Photography.
